((Holy s**t, completely forgot, sorry man.)) PRODI! GIA! COMPLO! RATUS! SILENS! ORO! REGNET EXITIUM!
The pyro erupted as the beginning chords of "Requiem" (I'll add a link to this later, need to get this match going) played through the PA. As always, the flames died down, leaving a trail up to the stage. Standing prominent on the stage was Dion Necurat, dressed for combat, as always. Shield slung on his arm, sword at his back, flail at his side. This was not just a match; it was a battle.
"And his opponent, from Minneapolis, MN; weighing in at 270 lbs; he is The Conqueror, Dion Necurat!"
As he made his way down the ramp, he thought about what lead up to this match. Dion was thinking that Damon would not expect a match from their twitter comments. He was interested in what the rookie could do, and tonight was his night to prove himself in a match Dion felt incredibly comfortable in.
When he approached ringside, he removed his shield, setting it next to the ring. Along with the shield, Dion placed his sword and flail by the ring stairs. He then entered under the bottom rope, raising a fist to acknowledge the fans, though never letting his gaze falter from Damon.

It seemed as if only a minute or two went by since Damon's music cut away and there was a momentary silence in the arena. Out of nowhere, the chants of what seemed to be an orchestra of voices would begin to sing what sounded like a Latin based dialect. Maybe eight or so words were sang before a loud crash of drums and heavy guitar riffs would fill the sound systems of the arena everywhere. Damon watched as Dion's flaming pyrotechnics would burst into action and made their fiery appearance felt heatedly. Then of course, the sight of Dion would be visible. Dressed in his full shield, sword and overall Gladiator-style regalia. Damon paced slowly along the inner perimeter of the ring ropes, watching as Dion made his way towards the ring. His mind was clear now that he had that conversation with Shanahan and Dion thirty minutes prior to the match. His focus was there and his attention was now inspired more than ever to prove himself worthy of this opportunity. All he had to do was think back what he did to Xavier.
Perhaps even that wouldn't be enough to put the conqueror down. Maybe, just maybe, Damon would have to pull a surprise from under his sleeve or something. Regardless, Damon now returned to his corner of the ring and gripped both hands on the ropes on either side of him. Crouching down and doing a few warm-up squats in quick succession to loosen his legs up and prep himself further for the physical exertion this match would toll on both competitors. He had already stretched out his arms and neck so, the rest of his body was good to go. However, Damon still felt the need to rest his back on the top rope and lean against it. Bouncing the ropes to stretch his back before letting go and making his way to the center of the ring. Uncanny compared to any other match he had started, Damon was the first to stand in the center of the ring and look Dion across the way. Extending his arm forward, Damon knew how high profile this match would be. So in a true act of respect, Damon would signal for a pre-bell handshake in good taste.

Being a good sport, Dion would accept his hand...but he would tighten his grip as Damon moved away. He would then start things off by showing Damon what he was in for with a quick Belly-to-belly Suplex

Respect. It goes a long way. Thankfully, Dion accepted the handshake. However, the pressure given through the squeeze was one that Damon registered as a lack of wanting to loosen the handshake. As a matter of fact, Dion took advantage of the grip by dragging Damon right back into Dion's personal space and catching Damon off guard with a belly to back suplex. Such a suplex that had Damon tossed cross the ring and rolling in one rotation until he stopped his momentum flat on his back. To say that Damon was surprised by the opening impact of the move, was an understatement. However, it was to be expected as this match wouldn't be one to let any guard down or slip up to give the opponent any chance of advantages. Slowly getting up to his feet through an assist of the nearby ropes, Damon nodded his head in acknowledgement of the pace that Dion set from the get go. Damon could try to rival that. However, Damon would try to mask his follow up intentions with an attempt at a collar and elbow tie up.

Dion accepted the tie-up. He would attempt to force Damon to the turnbuckle.

With the lock-up in full swing, Damon could feel his body being pushed towards the nearest turnbuckle behind him. Damon accepted this force of momentum until his back collided with the top turnbuckle. However, Damon would attempt to catch Dion off guard by turning him around. That way Dion's back would face the turnbuckle before Damon attempted a knee to the gut with a followup snap suplex.

The sudden movements from Damon threw Dion momentary, enough for him to get his kick and suplex in. Matching up move-to-move seemed to be the goal.
After the thud of the suplex, he rolled himself up to one knee, a smirk across his face. This was gonna be good.

With the suplex making it's mark, Damon had easily begun to rise to one knee following it's impact. Turning around to face Dion, he watched as Dion was already on one knee himself, but couldn't see the smirk on the man's face. Damon would soon then attempt to bring Dion to his feet and hook his arm under Dion's neck for a tight side headlock.

Dion had little choice but to be placed in the headlock...though that was partially a ploy on his part. Dion would attempt to force Damon to the ropes. If successful, he would then use the ropes to propel Damon forward.

Keeping the headlock on pretty tight, Damon had the thought that if he showed any mercy in this match, it would come to bite him in the a** later on. Because of that, Damon utilized his strength to keep the headlock going as long as he could. However, Dion had other options. No surprise to Damon, Dion slipped out from underneath the headlock and broke the hold completely before leaning against the ropes and sending Damon to the other side of the ring. To which Damon would ricochet off the ropes and run back towards Dion hoping to determine what Dion had in store for him before he'd find out first hand.

Damon was looking to fight. Dion would deliver that to him.
As Damon rebounded, Dion would attempt to give him a Big Boot.

Normally, the raise of a leg could determine two things. either a high knee, or a big boot. Damon knew how to counter them, but this time wasn't too successful. Count it as too much forward propulsion from the ropes that gave him too much speed as opposed to swiftness to dodge. The heel and sole of Dion's boot collided with the side of Damon's face, hard. Down the Hound of Justice would fall as his left hand would raise to hold his cheek and try to rub the pain away. Additionally checking for blood just in case he had possibly bitten his lip.

Things were going Dion's way early in this match-up. He would start to slow things down and attempt to wear out the young pup with a Full Boston Crab.
