♛ Belial ♛ ~~~~~ Belial kicked a stone out of her path as she trudged through the forest just outside the little Podunk town of Mystic Falls. Why was the fallen angel there? She didn't know, but here she was and she guessed that she'll make the most of it. Its not like she was doing anything important to begin with. With half of her family fighting a civil war and the other half still locked up in Hell, there really wasn't anybody to talk to about her problems. Plus, why would her brothers and sisters want anything to do with her. She was a traitor to Heaven and the b*****d child of Hell. Completely worthless where ever she ran off to. She had no purpose like the other angels, she just existed. Spending her days on Earth wasn't the worst thing that could possibly happen to her. It was a hell of a lot better than where she was (no pun intended). After a couple of hundred years of moping, she learned to accept her fate and did her best to make the most of it. But she couldn't help but think of all of her siblings that she left behind in Hell, especially Mammon. He was one of the few who backed her up against Lucifer's plan, and is the only angel who didn't view her as worthless. He sacrificed is freedom so that she may have a shot to retain hers by helping her get to Earth without Lucifer realizing. The only brother whom she had a true connection with, and she left him behind. If she had a chance to go back, she would've made him come with her to Earth or they wouldn't go at all. It was cold that day, seeing her breath become visible in front of her. She adjusted the scarf around her neck and tightened the long army jacket around her vessel's curves. The Fallen stretched out her large wings, invisible to all those who were not angels themselves. It was rare that an angel still had their wings after the Fall from Heaven, well...she never techniqually fell in the first place...well, she did but that was a long time ago, since she was still on Earth when it happened. The angel then leaned up against a tall oak tree, looking up as small rays of sunlight made their way through the dense forest, seemingly looking up to the now vacant Heaven. If there was any hope for a Fallen Angel like herself to possibly redeem herself and return to her home, it was all gone now. God had left, and Heaven was in ruins. Angels left and right are turning on each other for the right to rule Heaven, and so far, she heard that Metatron was pulling ahead. She remembered him before her fall, he was never much of a fighter let alone a leader, what makes him think that he's cut out for this? Better question, what makes any angel think he or she is ready to rule over all of Heaven and Earth. She learned that God could only do that, and she learned it the hard way like all the rest of the Fallen. Though some she suspected are still down there, plotting their revenge upon Heaven and Earth. ~~~~~ "Falling is easy, its getting back up where everyone quits."

Aᴍɪᴛɪᴇʟ “ℳɪᴛᴄʜᴇʟʟ ℰɴᴏsᴏɴ”____________________________________________________ Another day in Mystic Falls, Virginia. Getting up this morning he'd followed his usual routine: Wake up, bathe, get dressed, eat, go to work... Human stuff.
No one here knew who he really was, and that's just how he liked it. He'd gone thousands of years being unknown to the world. Sure he'd been called an angel before, but not in the literal sense. Amitiel had mastered being a human... Technically, he even was one, having been thrown from heaven by god himself and reborn as a human child. One of the first humans--fourth generation to be exact. He'd grown into a fine man. And he'd kept his memories the entire time. He knew exactly who he was and what he'd done to be thrown from his home. When he was old enough, he set off on his own in search of the one thing he desired most in his young life--His grace. In fact, his grace had been responsible for creating a massive forest that homed some of the earliest creatures man had come to know.
Amitiel had absorbed his grace when he'd found it and never returned to his home of Heaven. He'd figured God didn't want him anymore, that returning would only cause himself to be hurled back to Earth... if not destroyed.
And his brothers and sisters, he'd managed to keep himself hidden from them, constantly moving around to keep any of them from locating him in fear they would do their father's work and attempt to destroy him themselves.
Luckily no one ever approached him. No doubt thanks to warding himself--his entire skeletal structure covered in enochian symbols to keep himself hidden.
Parking the car in the middle of the trail, Amitiel, Or Mitch Enoson as he went by currently, stepped out of the vehicle with a sigh, his feet firmly planted on the dirt ground as he looked around. Just a week ago a body had turned up in this area of the woods. Wolf attack... Or so it had been said. Amitiel knew it was a cover story, he could sense a lie before it even left a person's lips. But he also knew the lie was appropriate.
Oh yes, he knew of the things that went on in Mystic Falls. Vampires, Witches, Werewolves... But he also knew of a certain group of these beings who had been fighting to keep the town safe. Which was great for him, he didn't have to expose himself to take care of the messy little beasts. He was able to just sit back and watch quietly, maybe give them a little push in the right direction from afar when they seemed stumped.
Even the sheriff didn't know about him, or that he knew anything. To Liz he just seemed like an ordinary officer, and an excellent interrogator and negotiator. He couldn't let all that angel power go to waste...
But this morning he'd felt something. An angelic presence in town, other than his own of course. Usually he would have stayed clear away from it, but this particular energy he recognized--remembered from before he was cast out of Heaven. Belial. A follower of Lucifer's.
Amitiel's brows knitted together as he stood there quietly, feeling out the area, sensing Belial's location as her energy wandered through the forest. He stepped back and shut the door to the police cruiser softly. Only the sound of his feathered wings following as he disappeared from sight in that instant.
Once the women had stopped and began to rest against a tree, Amitiel appeared a few yards behind her with another sound of his large wings before he folded them up against his back. He wasn't sure how this meeting was going to end, if Belial was going to try and kill him, if she would flee and tell the others of his whereabouts. But with the idea that she had ultimately been on a similar side as him in the beginning... a small amount of trust was there, that little bit of doubt that she would expose him... It was more likely that she was scouting for Lucifer, to cause harm to the town. Up until now he'd let the resident vampires take control of a situation like this. But they were no match for an angel. Only he was able to fend off his sister... Destroy her if he had to.
His eyes narrowed slightly. Wasn't she supposed to have been locked away in Hell?...

♛ Belial ♛ ~~~~~ Belial pushed her vessel's hair away from her face as the cold wind pushed it back again. She was about to leave, but then she heard the unmistakeable sound of giant wings beating against the air followed by a presence that she hasn't felt in a very long time. She slowly turned around and came face to face with her brother, Amitiel. The last time she saw him was during the battle in Heaven, right before she was swallowed up by the darkness and cast down into perdition. "If you have come to kill me, just get it over with..." The Fallen said to her brother, not making any movements or gestures that would suggest anything hostile. She just stood there with her back against the tree, watching Amitiel to see what he would do. Many angels in both Heaven and Hell would love to see her dead. She was a traitor to one and a deserter to the other. ~~~~~ "Falling is easy, its getting back up where everyone quits."

Aᴍɪᴛɪᴇʟ “ℳɪᴛᴄʜᴇʟʟ ℰɴᴏsᴏɴ”____________________________________________________ Amitiel's brows rose hearing his sister speak. Lifting his head up slowly he began to take a few steps towards her. A curious look came to his face as he stopped in front of her.
"Now why in father's name would you say that?" his voice gentle as he inquired. "Especially to me of all people" Angels, he meant angels. Human habit. "I do remember us being on a similar side back before I was thrown to Earth. I found humans to be destructive, you followed Lucifer to believe that you could be something greater than you were led to believe." His head tilted slightly as he looked into her eyes. "We both were against our father and got the boot." A small smile played his lips as he tried a hand at a bit of black humor.
After a second of letting it linger, he shoved his hands into his jacket's pockets, his demeanor becoming a tad more serious. "What are you doing here?"

♛ Belial ♛ ~~~~~ Belial shrugged. "Aren't you with Metatron or whatever? Don't you want me dead?" She asked and tilted her head. Most angels would want to kill her on sight, so it was weird for him not too by Belial's standards, but then he explained himself which now made sense to the Fallen Angel. "Oh...you too huh... She never saw him in Hell, he must've had the choice of skipping that option, unlike her. Apparently he didn't like the humans either. For her, it was never about the humans. She really couldn't care what they did or how they acted on Earth, she just wanted to be something more than what she was. But apparently no one can give her that. She then shifted her eyes down to the ground when Amitiel asked what she was doing there. "Do you mean here here, or here on Earth?" The Fallen asked quietly. Technically, she was suppose to be locked up in Hell along with her brothers and sisters that fell with her, but she got lucky. ~~~~~ "Falling is easy, its getting back up where everyone quits."

Aᴍɪᴛɪᴇʟ “ℳɪᴛᴄʜᴇʟʟ ℰɴᴏsᴏɴ”____________________________________________________ "I was never given the option," he sighed and relaxed in his stance. He'd read her thoughts. Cautious habit. "When I spoke up to father he immediately threw me to Earth with no vessel. I was reborn as a human," he briefly explained with a dismissive wave of his left hand.
And no, I'm not with Metatron..." He trailed off, interested in the idea of him and Metatron being on the same team. His brows furrowed once more. "I haven't been in contact with any of our siblings for thousands of years, since I was cast out of Heaven," he told her, lowering his head a bit while continuing to look at her. Though that didn't mean he didn't know what was going on. He of course could still hear his brothers and sisters telepathically. He knew what had happened. All his siblings had fallen except for a select few. Most were blaming their brother Castiel for all of it. However that didn't sit right with the archangel. He wasn't convinced Castiel was really at fault. But he couldn't be certain, he hadn't seen Castiel since Heaven...
The blue-eyed angel watched as his sister's expression turned bitter. Even her tone seemed dismal. It caused the archangel to step forward slowly, inoffensively. His features softening as he could sense the distress within Belial. "Why don't you start with Earth..." he said softly.

♛ Belial ♛ ~~~~~ Belial wrapped her arms around herself, clutching tightly against her biceps and let out a deep sigh. She guessed that this is what she wanted, someone to talk to about what happened, but she wasn't sure if she was ready. But she told herself that it was either now or never. The Fallen looked up at her brother with sorrow and regret in her eyes as she spoke. "After the fall, Lucifer gathered all the angels together and held sort of council, explaining his plan to bring about the fall of mankind. Myself and a few others rejected that plan, saying that it would only make things worse, that our father could worsen our punishment. Unfortunately, we were heavily out voted." Belial explained. "After he came back, he was...different. Almost psychotic, so obsessed with power that he created his own empire in Hell with himself as king. She took another deep breath before she continued. Afraid of others challenging his power, he created an army of demons that was ten times as large as our numbers and ordered them to attack us. To either kill us or lock us away in the deepest circle of Hell. Even Beezlebub was hunted down and captured. Mammon and I were running to escape the hoards of demons on our tails, and we found the gate that connected Hell to Earth. We had a chance to escape, but it was closing fast. Mammon told me to go on with out him while he held off the demons so I could escape. Belial paused for a moment, her eyes glistened a little bit. "I didn't want to leave him but...he pushed me through the gates just before it closed. I was safe on Earth while my brother remained in Hell, locked up and tortured." Belial then looked back up to her brother. "So...here I am."~~~~~ "Falling is easy, its getting back up where everyone quits."

Aᴍɪᴛɪᴇʟ “ℳɪᴛᴄʜᴇʟʟ ℰɴᴏsᴏɴ”____________________________________________________ Amitiel listened quietly. He'd known of Lucifer's plans back then, he'd heard them. He'd heard of the demons and the armies. The angels who fought and the angels who lost. But he hadn't heard of any angels escaping Hell. He certainly didn't heard of Mammon and Belial running for their lives to escape Lucifer.
He nodded silently for a moment, taking in the information and letting it sit on his mind for a moment. Lucifer's game of fox and hound had been so many years ago, back when he himself was still too nervous to chance being seen at all by another angel. Had he of been more confident with himself at the time, he would have stood up to Lucifer himself.
A pang of guilt twisted at the archangel's stomach. He'd let such violent acts happen because he was too fearful of his siblings and father. Maybe he belonged here--On Earth as his punishment for not doing what was right.
His head tilted downward, his eyes looking down at the dried up leaves on the cold, dirt ground. "I'm sorry, Belial..." he began, his shame evident in his tone. He lifted his head back up to look at her. "I should have been there to stop it." His apology was genuine, right down to the very metaphorical fiber of his being did he feel at fault for her suffering... For all of those brothers and sisters who'd been caught by Lucifer.

♛ Belial ♛ ~~~~~ Belial flashed a quick smile, trying to cover up the fact that she was almost on the verge of tears. She then looked to her brother, hearing the true sincerity in his apology, even though none of it was his fault. "Don't worry about...whats done is done, there ain't no going to back to it..." The Fallen said. She learned to move on from that, telling herself that there was nothing that she could do, that Lucifer was too powerful to be taken on. But was it fair for her to experience freedom while her brothers and sisters were locked in their cages, rotting away as they were tortured. Belial shook her head, trying to rid the though from her mind before looking back up at Amitiel. "Ok, enough of my sob story. What about you bro? How were you able to cut out the middle man, and get sent straight to Earth rather than Hell? Did ya miss the landing zone?" The angel said and a small smile spread across her lips. If you can't lighten the mood, you might as well go insane. ~~~~~ "Falling is easy, its getting back up where everyone quits."

Aᴍɪᴛɪᴇʟ “ℳɪᴛᴄʜᴇʟʟ ℰɴᴏsᴏɴ”____________________________________________________ He couldn't help but chuckle with a grin. Reaching up his rubbed the side of his mouth with his thumb and nodded. "I didn't follow Lucifer, I suppose is the main reason," he told her, watching her lips curl into a smile. "A lot of our siblings believed I did, but my reasons for cursing humanity were very different from our brother's. Lucifer refused to love humans more than father. I on the other hand couldn't. It was impossible for me to understand why father would create such violent and dishonest creatures. When I spoke to father about it, he scolded me, told me to trust him, that the humans would do great and beautiful things. Being of peace and truth, I could only see the harm that they would cause, how they would destroy the universe. I protested further to father..." he paused for a moment and slid his hand back into his pocket. "He grabbed me and threw me down. Through Heaven's floors and the clouds. My grace and wings torn from my very being. I was thrown directly into a womb." Looking to his sister, his jaw clenched slightly as the memories came back to him. How cold it felt being out of Heaven. How helpless he felt without his grace, locked inside the tiny, fragile body of an infant once he was born again, having to experience all the trials of being human.
Shifting his footing, he sighed, "Perhaps this is my punishment." Amitiel still didn't know if this was punishment. If he was supposed to have died--either when thrown or as a mortal man. After God had thrown him, he'd never heard from him again, only his siblings who he was too afraid to speak to. Maybe it wasn't punishment at all. He'd had thousands of years to try and think of reasons why his father would do this to him. For some reason he couldn't see this truth. But it made him more comfortable to think of it as having been a lesson. A harsh, vital lesson for the archangel. He didn't understand the humans before being tossed... Now he understood every detail of the race, he'd experienced it, he still did on a daily basis. He could now see the beauty his father spoke of all those years ago. He could see the true nature of humans.

♛ Belial ♛ ~~~~~ Belial listened to Amitiel's experience with the wrath of their father. Apparently, the human thing was a bit of a touchy subject with God. She back then couldn't care less about the humans. The only reason that she joined the wrong side of the war was that Luci promised her a promotion, only she realized too late that it was nothing but a lie to get her sucked in on his side. But as she spent time on Earth, she also realized that humans were truly amazing creatures. Perfect? Not even close, but they did come with a lot of perks. Like the whole free-will thing came a lot easier to them, angels...apparently a lot of them are still working out the kinks. And with that free-will came the ability to think for themselves, which resulted in art, science, music...oh especially the music, literature, and many other forms of higher level thinking. The Moon Landings still gave her chills to this day. But of course with that free-will came not so nice things like war, murder, and so on. But humans weren't made to be perfect, that's what made them human. Hell, even angels weren't perfect. They made the same mistakes the humans do, so why do they constantly think they're better than them. "Perhaps this is my punishment."The Fallen Angel looked up at her brother before she spoke. "Believe me brother, there are far worse places you could've ended up." She said and stood up straight again. There was evidence still to this day on what the fires of Hell did to her. Her true form was scarred, burned, and bruised and her wings were covered in soot and ash and caked in blood. And she wasn't even down there for very long, so the damage must be astronomical for those who are still caged to this day. "How did you regain your grace when you were stripped of it in the beginning?"~~~~~ "Falling is easy, its getting back up where everyone quits."

Aᴍɪᴛɪᴇʟ “ℳɪᴛᴄʜᴇʟʟ ℰɴᴏsᴏɴ”____________________________________________________ He smiled to her, her curiosity was refreshing, such a change from a human's questioning. What's your name? Where are you from? What do you do? All of which he had to be careful in how he answered. The number of little lies that passed his lips over the years... Astronomical, but necessary to his survival. He felt like we was in witness protection everyday. But it was a small price to pay, and no harm came of his lies.
"I was born with my memories. I grew up remembering who I was," he answered. "I could also still hear our siblings talking. I never spoke back of course, I was too fearful of my life. But when I became old enough I ventured on my own to find my grace." His eyes closed for a moment as he remembered that time of his life. "I saw the most gorgeous things as I searched. Life here, on Earth, is so much different than Heaven. The creatures, the plants... All so very beautiful. I never really saw these things before my cast-out, I only saw more creations from father. As a human I could see them for what they truly were, my human curiosity fueling my drive to further observe the world father created for humans..." he realized he was going off on a tangent and grinned before continuing. "My grace didn't actually land very far from where I was conceived." He began to laugh lightly. "Actually it created the Knysna Forest in Africa when it landed." A beam of a smile stretched across his face, feeling somewhat, somehow proud of himself that his grace created such a large place which was still thriving and home to many of the same animals that he'd encountered when there to retrieve his grace.

♛ Belial ♛ ~~~~~ Belial smiled, seeing her brother on the verge of fan girl rant on the beauty of Earth. Though she couldn't blame him for admiring it. Earth is truly a remarkable place. All the forests, mountains, rivers, oceans, and the wild life that inhabits them. Her favourite place on Earth were the islands of New Zealand. Their landscapes are remarkable and there are none like them anywhere else on Earth. No wonder so many movies were filmed here. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of sorrow when she heard that her brother's grace created an entire forest on its own. Even fallen and without his grace, he was able to contribute to creation and make something wonderful, even if it wasn't intentional. Other than a giant crater in Hell, the angel created nothing of true significance. Even away from the rule of God and the tyranny of Lucifer, was she still worthless? The Fallen looked back up to Amitiel. "Maybe we should get out of these woods, I hear they are pretty dangerous." She said with a little bit of snarkiness in her voice, referring to the deaths caused by "wild animals". She knows that isn't true, but might as well humor herself. Again, if you can't lighten the mood, you might as well go insane. ~~~~~ "Falling is easy, its getting back up where everyone quits."

Aᴍɪᴛɪᴇʟ “ℳɪᴛᴄʜᴇʟʟ ℰɴᴏsᴏɴ”____________________________________________________ A wide grin of a chuckle pulled at his lips hearing her. The forests in Mystic Falls always had something happen in them. Whether it was a hunting accident, or something supernatural.
He nodded. "I tend to let those things solve themselves out," he told her. "Seems every week something happens in this town." Amitiel held his grin and began to walk back towards the police car he'd left on the trail. When he'd first gotten to Mystic Falls, it was just this quite little town barely anyone even knew about. Very low crime rate. The only things he really had to be on the look out for was teenagers partying at the old, crumbled Fell's Church or the cemetery. Now, for the past year or so, it seemed every type of monster had visited and caused some amount of chaos.
"You never did tell me why you're in town by the way," he pointed out and turned his head to look at her as he waited for her answer. He didn't sense any evil intentions of her, and he hoped that was the case.
