Shang was patrolling, off for the night from the hospital and late shift tomorrow, he had time and would get sleep. He for once was tempted to go for a training session in the park, since he rarely carried or summoned his weapons these days. Not for a lack of needing it but for what seemed to happen every time he wielded it.
He patrol was more like a stroll through the alleys of downtown Destiny City, the last place most people would want to be, but it was a good place to be if you were keeping an eye out for trouble. Was he, sort of, not really. If he was honest with himself, he wasn't actually paying very much attention at all.
He stopped frowning and focusing more on the task at hand. He looked to a fire escape that lead to the top of the building before him and hopped up on it. He'd killed a youma one day with a fire escape ladder, that day seemed so far away. It was in the beginning of all this for him at least.
He headed up, even though he knew he could have leapt right up, or at the very least most of the way, but he just in that moment felt the need to be less he didn't even know, super human he guessed.Ivynian Weird start, I suck at them forgive me T__T

Schörl did not have reservation of her weapon or wielding it. There were times she wished for something more immediately deadly on the field of battle- a spear, sword, axe or hammer would all have done the job. The Knout was a weapon of punishment, penitence, or torture- meant for pain and not endings. Given enough time and a restrained victim, she was sure she could make it work out, but that wasn't likely in the field. It still made sense to practice with it to maximize its use in the field. The rooftops had the most room and least interruptions for working with the thing. She experimented with forms meant for sashes, swords, ball and chain, as well as mixing up the lot of them to try for something new. It helped to practice things while wearing Barbary, her flatlion, in his impromptu cape-usage. She was mid-flip in one when she felt the distinct aura- a knightish feel at the edges. Maybe this one would be more fun than the last...by way of being less white bread. Twigly had been a funpire. So the captain landed neatly, well practiced in tumbling and aerials with her footwear and sprinted for the aura. She leapt from roof to roof with exultation and ease until she heard .....climbing? You've got to be kidding me?Schörl found the fire escape and leaned over to look down the ladder and walks. Her platinum mane mixed with Barbary's as she wolf-whistled down. "What's wrong, Ginger? Turned an ankle?"

Shang was about half way up before he heard a whistle, causing his to look up, before backing up to the end of the fire escape his back pressed against the bars leaning over to see a blonde above.
"No, I'm fine. Just decided to walk up is all, but I guess I'll just jump now" he called up to the other. She didn't seem particularly threatening so despite the fact that he could clearly feel that she was chaos aligned, not that he particularly cared as long as the other wasn't trying to kill him.
He turned and hopped up on the bars of the fire escape before pushing off and leaping to the top of the building not that he was climbing but the one across from it. He turned in his landing and gave a wave to the woman standing atop the building his was just climbing.
"Good evening," he called debating whether or not he really wanted to leap back across to the other building. It would be good manners, not that manners was something he needed to show to the 'enemy' at present.

Inefficient, and not pleasurable enough to have merit. What joy is there in walking up a fire escape? "Good Eve." "At least you don't always put yourself at a liability, " the captain offered. "Just out for fresh air? You can do that much not in uniform."

Shang nodded, what she said was true. "That may be, but in my experience I've found youma hardly care that you are out of uniform and to be honest I highly doubt if you can your kind care either."
He leaned against the rooftop edge and considered the other, "I mean you no insult and feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but walking around at night no matter what you are wearing is like painting a target on your back. At least in this state I can sense a threat before its upon me and I wont be perceived as easy picking, no? Not that the human sixth sense doesn't have its merits."
"Either way, I am actually patrolling no matter how I choose to go about it." He relaxed slightly, but only so. He wanted to hear her answer, he didn't think he was wrong. Youma were trying to kill him before this knight life when he did choose to walk about at night as just himself.

"My kind??" The captain laughed after drawling the word. "How classist." "Its true anyone out at night is something of a target, but I don't know that wearing a uniform gives the impression that you aren't 'easy pickings'. I haven't met any knights that had item useful to ward off an attack with. Just some interesting gimmick of magic. Like the senshi, wait it out and then tear the problem limb from limb. " She waved her knout back and forth in display, "Not that this is a sword or spear." "I showed you mine.....show me yours?"

"I wasn't trying to be," Shang said simply, before letting it drop. He wasn't trying to start an argument at the moment, not that he ever really was.
"My weapon is plenty useful enough, in and of itself without the magic," he said with a sigh, "either way I am certainly stronger like this, even if my weapon were useless. I stand a better chance with the added strenght, and I've had combat training. Quite a bit of it," he admitted even though his afterthought was that maybe he should have admitted that.
Shang arched an eyebrow at the captain, "how much experience do you have with senshi? There are some where waiting it out, might not be the best idea." Seriously some senshi were rather dangerous in terms of magic and he wasn't naive enough to believe some of the we're dangerous without it.
He watched as she waved her weapon back and forth, nodding when she said it wasn't a sword or a spear. However, he she suggested he show off his, he gave her a look and shook his head, "no thank you."
He straightened up, "its the Rod of Asclepius," he did however say, "it's metal and depending on which end is being used, would be good for blunt for trauma, but could also be wielded like a small or sword or a larger dagger with enough force." He tensed at the latter, having used the thing much to that effect twice now.

'Plenty useful', 'combat training', 'some senshi', some of this and that and vague protestations that I'm inexperienced? Insulting? No. Just too blase for words. "You're good at generics, pigeon." We don't earn ranks based on foolishness and incompetence. We better damn well not. But this was no argument either, so proofs were not owed him as he'd so indulged in himself rather than being any sort of interesting. Not much worth another face in the crowd, other than if there was any symbolism attached to his supposed weapon. The one he wouldn't show. He could as easily be lying about it as anything else. "Clay pigeon, not a Maltese falcon. Pity." She turned on her heel, lifting her hand in mock farewell. "On with your night, luv. We've nothing for each other."
