Looking at those dummies seemed to physically hurt Vaith's heart. He winced, looking at how realistic the wounds were. As Cricket explained, Vaith thought of all the scenaris where he definitely should not get involved with Cricket. Ever. She looked scary and she was probably really scary as a ghoulfriend. Not that Vaith swung that way, not towards older women. Although how old was Mai or Aurian? He never asked.. As long as they looked young, it was pretty good.
Vaith reminded himself to ask them next time. Cricket's voice brought him back,.
".. Clean the area of contact. Once you've done that.."

Vaith tried to concentrate honestly. He gathered his fear in one hand, his noise markings shifted to focus and point the arrows towards vaith's hand. But his skill with fear was to attack, not to heal. He had to press down the urge to direct his fear into a killing blow but the strain caused his hand to shake.
He knew the results without Cricket giving him her stare. It barely healed at all, the wound hadn't even closed.

Vaith tried to redirect his fear to both of his palms this time. He could feel the fear shift, struggling to reach a new state in which they could heal. But it was hard to redirect one's core to pull up the fear as Cricket had said. He closed his eyes, as if it would help.
When he opened them a crack, the wound was still there. Disappointed, Vaith rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, trying to figure out what had gone wrong.

Vaith closed one eye. Then the other. It still wasn't working? Sheesh, healing was hard.

5. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
Vaith had sat down for a moment, trying to reassess how to approach the situatin. After pacing around, he decided breaktime was over and maybe, coming back to it with a fresher state of mind would be better.
He gingerly opened his eyes.
It had healed a little more! Passable. Still not good enough for battle though but the wound had closed up thinly. He grinned, deciding to focus for awhile more. usually, focus and vaith didn't come together in one sentence often.

5. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
Vaith was still doing okay! It was encouraging that he hadn't killed the patient yet. Sure, he wasn't perfect yet but he was close!

1. Perfect! You’ve forced the condition to remove itself!
Vaith gingerly opene dhis eyes again. He wasn't expecting much but he didn't think he could continue this for much longer. Sighing, he went for one last shot. HE could always try again later, after all.
And then the wound was closed.
Vaith danced for the class~
