The stables are certainly no place for an egg. Where the Weyr’s runners are kept an egg could easily get trodden on in here. Be sure to check in among all the hay and don’t too sure that there isn’t an egg stashed in a stall that’s already occupied.

Eggs in this area: Five

Egg 4 - DruidTigeress
Egg 19 - Magnadearel
Egg 20 - Dizzy_Kat
Egg 21 - Duke Edward Drake
Egg 28 - Shaddaling

How To Play
A player can have as many characters in each area as they like, but each character can only be in one area at a time. To try and find an egg roll a ten sided dice, 9 or 10 is successful in finding an egg. Now you can gain bonuses by working together. If multiple players’ characters interact and are shown to be helping each other, each player gets +1 to their roll for every other player helping them. That’s player, not character. Players who have already found an egg can still roleplay helping others and give them bonuses, but cannot keep rolling for a second egg. If you are successful in your roll, pick which egg you would like from the top of the page and state it in your post. What your character does with the egg after finding it is up to them, they can return it to the fair or sneak off with it to keep it for themselves.

Quote:
Examples
Rocellia rolls a 5. Nobody wants to help her, so she doesn’t find an egg. Better luck next time.
Dizzian rolls a 7. She’s being helped by R’yn and Ashlyn, which gives her +2, making her score 9. Way to go Dizzian, you found yourself an egg.
K’gus rolls a 10 all by himself and wins an egg without any help from anyone. You show ‘em, K’gus.

Rules
- Each player can only win one egg per area
- Only posts with roleplays will be counted
- Do not make another roll if you have not filled in the roleplay of previous rolls.
- Firelizards impress to the player that found the egg, they cannot be given to other characters or players
- No pressuring or harassing other players
- ICA = ICC
- Have fun

K'star and his dragon decided to check the stables first. Jedith thought that to be crushed under lunche's hoof would be a sad way to go for any relative of a dragon so he nudged his rider over in that direction after news spread of distressed firelizards who had lost a clutch.

"We must help them mine, what an awful thing to happen. Then again they are firelizards I suppose."

"I'm sure something bigger happened then all that Jedith dear."

"If you say so mine." Jedith stood outside and coached his rider even he was too big to fit in the stable which boosted his ego a little. "Check the first stall mine." He called into his rider.

K'star rolled his eyes good naturedly and rooted around in the hay after nudging the runner who's home this was into a corner. A handsome beast to be sure. But alas there appeared to be nothing in this stall.

"The first ones clean Jedith!"

Jedith's eyes whirled as he pondered where to check next. His head snaked partway into the stables to the disdain of the herdbeast in question.

"Check seven down on the left mine, she looks like she is hiding something."

"Yes dear," K'star patted his dragons nose as he walked past. He was a pretty blue and complimented K'star greatly, he felt much more stable now that he had his blue.

"As I have you."

"She does look a bit shifty doesn't she Jedith." K'star commented as he put a hand on the latch. The runner had sidled to the back and was nudging something on the floor with her nose.

K'star entered and back the beast up and sure enough a green egg with purple rimmed scales was the object of her attention. "We are lucky this was in your stall right girl." He patted her as he cradled the egg in his other hand. He made a note to bring her a treat of grain or something later. "Such a gentle old girl." He walked back to his dragon and showed him the egg. "You were right Jedith, she had this up against the back of her stall, she was protecting it. Motherly instincts and all that I guess."

"Very good mine. Now what?"

"Well it needs warm sand, lets at least let the firelizards know it was found." He mounted up and flew to the area where the firelizads were he showed them the egg.

After hearing about the distraught firelizard, Astriana felt like she had to help. She knew how protective golden firelizards could be, Caelia had been very watchful of her first clutch. Her little golden firelizard let out a worried call from Astri's shoulder and the girl stroked her head.

"Don't worry, Caelia, we will help look for those eggs. Just try not to worry. Cordi, where do you think we should start?"Astri asked, looking down to her small green close at her heels.

Let's start in that last stall, where that runner is,Cordonnith suggested.

Astri nodded as she led the way over to the mentioned stall and peeked her head inside, stroking the side of the runner.

When Daimon entered the stables, it was not flitt eggs he was looking for, but his sister. Of course, he'd heard about the eggs too. Kleimeeth had told it. By now he was under the impression that there was nothing happening in the weyr that his quick, clever green was not already aware of. Daimon was looking for his sister in the hopes that they could search togethe, hopefully improving their results, since Kleimeeth was all too eager to help out.

We must find all the eggs! Or.. We must find the most, at least! Then everyone will know how clever we are.

But it was her idea, too, to pretend that they weren't looking. So that, if they shouldn't find anything, no one would say that they weren't good at it. Daimon didn't really care what people said or thought, nor did he think that anyone besides Kleimeeth cared how good she was at finding things, but he went along with her because Kleimeeth was one of the few people he cared about making happy.

Sure enough, he spotted his sister looking into the stalls. He went over and leaned on the gate. "What'cha doin?" he asked, while Kleimeeth nosed curiously around the other stalls.

"Jemi?" Wen called carefully, walking into the stables and slowly approaching the beasts in the stables, reaching out to rub a nose lightly. He did miss working with runners.

Wen carefully entered the stall, stroking over the flanks. "It looks like your stall been disturbed. Certainly they wouldn't hide eggs here." He shook his head and knelt to pick up a few items.

Kleimeeth nosed around the new-commer anxiously. He was one of her clutchmate's humans. Was he going to find an egg? But she wanted to find one first! Even more so now that there was an audience, who could realte back to the others how well she had found the eggs. Daimon glanced over his shoulder when he noticed the increased activity in his bondmate's thoughts.

"Kleimeeth, stay out of people's way." he reminded her, since her curious habits had resulted in more than one appendage being stepped on in the past and Daimon didn't want to deal with taking her to the healers.. again, not to mention lecture he'd get from T'rel for not taking care of her properly. "Why don't you come help Corrdonnith over here." he suggested.

Astri nearly jumped when she heard her brother's voice and she looked up to see him leaning over the stall. She got to her feet and dusted herself off, having not found anything. Cordonnith had already headed over to the next stall, which Astri quickly followed her lead.

"I decided to help with the search, Caelia is a little....aggravated that some people would do that to eggs. Want to help look too?"Astri asked.

'Hello sister, I see you came too. Shall we look together?'Cordi asked Kleimeeth.

((+1 with help from Astri))

Daimon grinned and shrugged. "Why not?" he said, vaulting the gate and into the stall. He started nudging around in the hay with his boot gently seeing if there were eggs underneath.

"Kleimeeth is pretty agitated too." he added, quietly, since she didn't want anyone to know she was trying to look. "But I think she's more interested in the challenge than in helping the eggs' mother."

Meanwhile Kleimeeth continued sniffing around the stalls. She started when Corrdonith spoke to her. Looking? Looking for what? I'm not looking for anything. she said. But finally she admitted it, only because she considered Corrdonith a special friend. Okay, let's look together. But you mustn't tell anyone I'm looking until after I've found something.

[[Egg 4]]

As his boot moved the top layer of hay around, a flash of color appeared beneath and caught his attention. His eyes widened, but he moved the hay back in place and put a finger to his lips, winking to his sister. Daimon was hardly modest, but when it came to anyone he cared about, he was more than happy to let them take the credit.

He projected loneliness, pretending to miss her to draw her closer to him and to the egg. And their bond was not yet strong enough that she could tell when he was faking it. Kleimeeth, love. Come help us look over here. Daimon said, with a tone of such fondness it compelled her to move closer to him. With a few more mental nudges, he got her attention to where the egg was hidden. She pushed away the hay with nose and jumped up.

D'mon, my D'mon! I've found one! she cried gleefully, while Daimon bent to pick up the egg. She tossed her head from side to side, shaking her tail in what looking like an awkward wiggly victory dance. Ooh, yess! I'm good at this! And don't worry, sister, I'll help you find one too!

Wen stroked the runner beasts nose, finishing his tidying and stepped out, looking for places out of sorts. Though, what sort of dim glow hit an egg in the stables?

Crackskull dim glows, that was who. Wen walked into a stall, reaching to clean bit of a mess left behind from the egg thieves and as he straighted up, something once again red caught his eye. This was a much larger egg, and scatthered with stars? Sort of pretty but still, eggs should not be around runner beasts. He shook his head and carried the egg back to its mother.

(+1 help from Daimon)

Astri saw her brother find an egg and smirked when she saw the look he gave her. When Kleimeeth came over, she knew what he had done and she bit back a laugh.

"Very good job, I knew you would find something, Kleimeeth. Now let's see if we can find something in this next stall,"Astri suggested.

'Thank you, sister, I appreciate it. Congrats on your find, by the way,'Cordi responded, before she went to the next stall and started to look in it.

Yes, yes! I will help you look, fear not! Now.. you! she nudged Daimon in the back of the knees. You must take my find back to its mother. And make sure everyone knows who it was who found it!
What aren't you going to take it?

Kleimeeth looked wide eyes from the egg to her rider, confused. I don't think I can. She could hold some things in her mouth, but she didn't trust herself with an egg.
Daimon grinned and winked. "Just wait." he said, going to the tack room. Sure enough he found a bucket, and stooping to the first stall, he filled it with hay. "There." he added the egg and handed the bucket to his dragon. "Now you go an deliver your find. I'm going to stay and help Asti."

Haha! Great idea, mine! I knew you were clever after all.
Thank... wait, hey!
he called after her, but Kleimeeth was already leaving. Daimon shook his head and got back to searching the stall with his sister.
