Starlight: Hello Lucky! And little Malt, how are you? And who is your friend?

Lucky: *laughs* He's Due North. ouo Malt's staying with him.

Malt: ouo Miss Starlight! *runs to* How are the stars?

North: J-Just North is...fine. oAo


Starlight: A pleasure to meet you, North! As it happens, the stars remain quite star-like, Malt.

Malt: Don't they like...tell your fortune or something? ouo


Starlight: Oh, well, thank you. Due North is a very pleasant name as well. Though I may be biased towards things of astronomy persuasion. Oh, some people believe they do, Malt. I know a little about such things, but it was never my area of expertise.

Malt: Really Miss? oAo Well...what do you know about the stars then?

North: Uh...Stars help me navigate.... yeah...useful stuff, stars...


Starlight: I doubt I know anything so interesting as to hold you attention. Constellations, stellar phenomena, those sorts of things. Oh? So you know how to read stars as well?

Malt: Sounds an awful lot! ouo! You are smart!

North: Well...only enough to get me back home. ^^;; Nothing sciency


Starlight: Can you keep a secret? Between you and I, Malt? Smart might be pushing it. I am knowledgeable about stars, but I do not think smart phonies would willingly subject themselves to hours of sleep deprivation. ; ) But thank you for the compliment, at any rate. It is a very useful skill to have, I have never been far enough from home to need the stars to guide me, but I would like to imagine that I could use them to find my way back.

North: oAo *losing to a foal!* Uh....maybe I could teach you...sometime...


Starlight: Well I do not see why not. If you can convince your guardian to let you stay up past when all good little foals go to bed, that is. Hm? That would be rather useful, I think. Thank you, I shall have to take you up on that sometime, North.

Starlight: A nighttime picnic sounds wonderful. I believe there should be a nice, cloudless night soon. How does that sound?

North: Yeah. I know a spot we can all go to watch the stars.


Starlight: Yes, I am quite excited myself. I will have to bring some star charts to help point out constellations, and maybe a few blank ones to make up our own. This will be fun.
