The night had been rather long, and very eventful, so it really was no wonder that Orah had found it hard to keep her eyes open once she was ensconced in an arm chair, nothing to do but wait.

The trip to the hospital from the battle of the warehouse had been short and relatively easy. Part way there, when the orange-haired senshi's henshin had released and left Ida holding a girl about her own age, the eternal had stopped to power down herself and call Xander on her cell phone to let him know she had an emergency.

There had really been no other thought beyond getting the injured girl to him, and once there, she had been faced with a lot of questions she didn't have answers to and a dilemma about what to do... On one hand, she didn't know this girl personally and she could have left her in Xander's capable hands with the story of how she had come to be in the hospital. On the other, waking up in a strange place with no one you knew and no idea how you got there would be a horrible experience.

In the end, Ida had made the short trip home to get an over night bag and let her father know where she was going (supposedly), while Xander tended to the dislocated shoulder and various cuts and bruises. By the time she got back, the unnamed girl had been settled into a bed and Orah had settled in beside her to wait. And wait.... and eventually, through no fault of her own, nod right off in the chair.

One hand under her cheek, knees demurely together above a pair of bohemian cowboy boots, Orah slept the sleep of the innocent, the picture she made one that gave no indication that she moonlighted as a magical girl. She simply looked young and painfully honest.

Xander walked into the room with a clipboard in hand. He was simply checking her vitals at the moment and making sure nothing needed adjustment, not his job at the current moment as he was suppose to be clocking out, but he was heading to the room regardless wanting to know what happened, what really happened.

He spied Orah asleep in the chair as he headed over to the heart monitor with its rhythmic beeping turning and began to make his markings. The girl had needed her dislocated shoulder repairs, surgery hadn't been necessary thankfully, but she wouldn't be make much use of it for a couple weeks. She had several cuts and bruises that had been treated some became more apparent now in the morning hours. He hadn't asked if she was like them, like him and Orah, with night time alter egos, but he hoped she was if only for their ability to heal faster. It was the most blessed thing he found about the magic they had and it made his job a lot easier.

The girl remained asleep for the moment, he suspected she was completely exhausted and while other's predicted she'd awake soon he didn't make such assumptions. She would wake when she was rested and not before, their was no real science to figuring it out especially when he wasn't sure what exactly happened.

He turned watching Orah for a moment. It had been a bit frightening to get that call, looking at his cell and in that moment thinking the worst. It had been bad, such calls often were, but it wasn't his friend this time, though he felt slightly guilty at the relief that knowing Orah wasn't hurt despite knowing someone else was.

Jeanne's awakening from unconsciousness was neither delicate nor ladylike. Even her first stirrings of consciousness came with a sense of urgency, and the redhead jerked very roughly awake, the first word out of her mouth a rather loud "Merde!"

And the realization dawned on her that there were no chaotic sounds of battle, no yells of pain - and most importantly, she could hear. She also no longer felt like she was going to fall over if she moved wrong. Which meant that quite a bit of time passed while she was unconscious.

"Where th' ******** am I, and who th' ******** are you two?" Gratitude was apparently beyond her, when she was panicking. She had made it out, certainly - but had anyone else? The Court had come full force, with so many allies, Order and Negaverse.

And she had been unconscious for it all, spirited to safety while her allies risked their lives. Disgust with herself settled in her gut. She would have to do better. No excuses.

The shout nearby startled Orah out of the doze she had been in and she sat upright in panic, her hands dropping to grip the arms of the chair. She stared wide-eyed at the girl in the bed before she glanced about, the sight of Xander a welcome one that went a long way towards relaxing the young woman again. If he was here, everything was alright... even if their new companion didn't think so.

Reaching up, Orah rubbed her eyes as she turned back to the stranger, studying her for a moment as she asked for more information in a rather abrupt way... there was really no call for that kind of language, but with how her brother talked, she was more or less resigned to it at this point. Gathering herself, Orah took a deep breath and then launched into it, playing the part of the informed one since... well, she was.

"My name is Orah Gowan and this is Dr. Xander Jacobs. We're also Sailor Ida," She said as she guestured back and forth between them. "And Shagri-la of Pluto. You are safe, you're in the hospital. I'm the one who brought you here. There was another eternal senshi, a blonde man with flowers on his fuku, who pulled you out of the fight at the warehouse and gave you to me. He didn't tell what his name was, and he didn't come with us... as soon as I had you, he went back into the fight and I honestly don't know what happened to him, I was too busy getting you out."

She turned to give Xander a look, hoping he could fill her in on the extent of her injuries.

"What's your name? Why... why were you in the warehouse? My team only saw the fighting and thus far, no one has been able to explain just what was going on."

Xander wasn't to shocked at how she woke up or how she was behaving, passing out in one placing and waking up in another certainly made for interesting reactions. He frowned though because she was frantic and he didn't want her moving around to much.

Orah was quick to explain the situation before looking to him, "try to stay calm and do not move to much. You had a dislocated shoulder, I fixed it, but it will take some time to fully heal. Being a senshi or knight, yes? It will heal faster, but I suggest you try to not to use it as much as possible for at least 4-6 weeks, the sling should help with that, but it will disappear when you power up. It could take less, it could take more. You all have cuts and bruises, so you will be tender."

Xander walked over to the chair Orah sat in and sat on the arm, "I would also like to know just exactly what happened, as well as what I should tell your parents when we are able to contact them. Which should be hopefully soon."

While Orah and Xander spoke, Jeanne took a moment to take a slow breath and calm herself down, mentally assessing her physical status. Mostly she just ached, which wasn't particularly surprising given how much she'd been tossed and smacked around.

The description of a blond Eternal with flowers on his fuku made her grin a bit. Last she'd spotted Thraen, he'd still been Super, but clearly one of their cats had gotten to him because she couldn't think of anyone else on their side who fit that description - or who would've bothered to take the time in a chaotic battle to get her out. She'd have to think him, and apologize for her weakness.

In the end, though, it seemed she had two Order people watching over her, which was...at least reassuring. They'd given her their identities, and it was only fair to give them hers.

"Jeanne Boucher. Sailor Penthesilea. Don't worry 'bout my mom, I'll come up with somethin'." Lying was easy for her. Explaining was easy too. She wasn't ashamed of what she'd done.

"It was an ambush for the Dark Mirror Court - co-ordinated with th' Ngaverse, who I'd ordinarily prefer not t'work with, but for one night I can play nice." A smile flicked across her lips. "I obviously didn't come outta it so well, got caught between onea the Mirror's Supers and onea ours." <******** traitorous b***h,' she thought but didn't say. "Th' goal was to eliminate as much'a the mirror as we could. Figurin' we didn't succeed all that well if you're askin' questions like that."

Orah was trying to attend to what the girl was saying, but found herself a little distracted when Xander came to perch on the arm of her chair. It put him at a surprisingly comfortable distance and for a moment she had an urge to curl her fingers into his white coat, simply for the comforting feel of contact with someone she cared about.

Instead, she twisted her fingers together and stuffed them into her lap as she straightened up and sat forward, refocusing on what was being said. She was the highest 'ranked' person here, she needed to at least try to look it... and clinging to the only male in the room's coat was not the way to go about it. Luckily, when she finally processed the words being spoken, all thoughts of that flew right out of her head.

"You were working with the Negaverse?" Orah gasped out as her brown eyes widened in surprise and disbelief. While an ambush on the Dark Mirror seemed a terribly aggressive move, it was over shadowed by the thought of their own people... fighting beside the monsters that made the world so much of a dark and terrible place. It was hard to even process the idea, though some part of her mind whispered that she herself had done such a thing, once. How hypocritical to fight shades with Titan, and then be horrified when someone else did the same thing... but she argued back that it had been a special case, that she had sensed something better in the beefy lieutenant. And when she thought of 'Negaverse', the people she brought to mind were Painite and Bischofite...

"Its a wonder you're still alive..." She finally got out, pushing down her own thoughts on the subject for a far safer topic. "You had enemies on both sides and they could have easily turned on you. They used to be allies, what made you think they had suddenly turned completely around, thus making it safe to trust the Negaverse? They are ruthless, blood thirsty monsters, Jeanne... and the fact that you got beat unconscious should be more than a hint that the en devour was stupid in the extreme... If there was anyone I would have trusted in that fight, it would have been the Dark Mirror."

Xander shook his head and started to say it wasn't that simple and the hospital needed to contact her mother, but his explanation was silenced by her next fews words and looked to Ida in shock.

"Ambush," he said at the same time Orah gasped that she was working with the negaverse. He was looking at her completely gobsmacked. What she had admitted to was essentially a massacre, genocide. His face betrayed he exactly how he felt about it. He looked to Orah putting a hand on her arm.

"I agree with Orah, that seems incredibly dangerous and more than a bit unintelligible. You got out with a dislocated shoulder and getting banged up a bit, but you could have very well died. And for what? How long have you even been involved in this war? Tell me ... did you not think if you succeeded that you might be turned on, that they probably wouldnt care if you dropped dead on the battlefeild?"

He sighed lightly, it had been to long a night for this sort of thing.

Jeanne exhaled heavily. Just her luck that she'd be rescued by people who were either pacifists or Mirror sympathizers. Oh well, at least she was alive, that was most important.

"Yer actin' like I wasn't well aware of th'possible consequences. I knew they could turn on us, though by my understandin' we had a Lieutenant hostage t'prevent that sort of bullshit." She felt a bubbling of frustration. Sure, she herself hadn't been successful, but she was also a first-level. There had been plenty of stronger Senshi there, who could have easily handled a Negaverse that turned on them.

"Weren't that many agents, neither, so 'snot like they'dve bene comin' at us with some huge advantage. An' besides, 's common ********' sense t'take out one enemy when you're fightin' a two-front war, even if that means allying with yer other enemy. 'Specially when it's a three-way ******** like this war is. Smash th' Mirror, take 'em out as a threat, an' then it's back t'Senshi and Knights versus just th'Negaverse."

A sigh came from the dark haired girl as she settled back in her chair, suddenly tired. Harping on the girl was obviously not going to work and she really had no right to tell her what to do... even if everything in her rebelled against the idea of siding with the Negaverse for anything. Everything they touched, they tainted or destroyed. It wasn't like the Dark Mirror was necessarily all that much better, but lesser of two evils maybe? It was all confusing and hard to deal with, sometimes. The only people you could really trust, in the end, was your own faction.

"Somehow, I doubt having a little lieutenant hostage would have done much to keep them in line." She said softly, more to herself than in response to the girl. This was just a bad situation all around and yet again Orah found herself floundering around in the midst of it, not sure what to do or where to turn. Things used to be a lot simpler, a lot more black and white. She didn't like dividing their forces or fighting with each other.

"I've learned through hard, painful experience that the Negaverse will do anything to see an end put to us. Joining with them to remove a supposedly common enemy might be one way to go about it, but I think the smarter decision would have been to sit back and let the two sides fight it out among themselves, thus saving our people from harm and letting them weaken each other." She was not a military commander... she knew next to nothing about tactics and battle plans, but she felt like her point was still valid. They shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place. Maybe by not interfering, the DMC would have still fallen and only the Negaverse would have taken damages, leaving the white moon still strong and whole. But in the end, what did it matter now? The fight was over, for now, even if the underlying issues remained.

Orah wished, fleetingly, that they had some sort of leader to turn to to make these decisions for them. Someone they could unite under and stop the squabbling. It was a far fetched dream though, the way things were going. Having someone rise to power this late in the game seemed unrealistic. Whatever happened, she would just have to stay firm and follow her own heart.

Xander didn't at all like the idea of the side of order holding hostages, they pushed for purification before honestly hurting someone, right? Taking hostages wouldn't win them any supporters on the other side. He looked to Orah who spoke wise words and found himself nodding and thinking they were in line with his own thoughts.

"If you were to let them fight amongst themselves maybe when they are weakened and tired they will come to us for guidance, for a way out. It benefits us to steal them, so to speak, as they steal our own so speak. To look like the better option, so we've got the upper hand in more than one way. Getting involved, in this sort of manner certainly doesn't seemed to have helped."

He wondered briefly if that fully made sense, he thought it did. Either way, it was said and that was how he felt at the moment, he hoped she or at least Orah understood where he was coming from. "What happens now? Were they even successful at this little endeavor? Doesn't really sound like it?"

Jeanne just shook her head. She couldn't accept that - she was never one to stand by. Maybe sitting back and letting them fight it out would have been smarter, in the long run, but as far as she knew no one on the Order side had lost their lives.

Of course, she didn't know much, given how thoroughly she had failed.

"An' how many of 'em do purify?" She asked, and there was a sharpness to her tone. "How many of 'em even think to? Can you even purify onea th' Dark Mirrors?" She'd certainly never heard of it, but that didn't mean ti hadn't happened, she supposed. Or it meant it just hadn't happened yet. Either way, though... "I'm the Senshi'a War, not the Senshi'a Hugs. I've got one job."

Maybe that was reductionist. "I don't know how successful anybody was, I was <********>. Which, let me repeat, was a good part b'cause an Order Senshi boxed my ********' ears an' I was deaf an' off-balance."
