...Loading UI What is RiftNet? Riftnet is a social networking site meant to facilitate research tools and handy connections between officers. Officers, under the safe, protection of internet anonymity, can vent their complaints, share hunting grounds, and offer up targets as easy energy harvests or difficult tasks to avoid.
RiftNet is a site for officers, by officers. The General Kings and Queens cannot punish dissent here. This is a totally safe and welcoming environment intended to foster bonds and friendships!
It is totally safe and not dangerous in any way!
You should not be alarmed.

Several officers probably had some sort of invitation in some form in one of their inboxes across the multiple ways the average citizen is connected via electronic media. The application process is full of tedious questions to prove your status as an officer without actually giving your mineral name, but once you manage to make an account, you're welcomed to a forum structured site that is clearly Negaverse based.
RiftNet innocuously advertises itself as a bonding and connection tool between officers of rank but there is a small disclaimer at the bottom noting that it is in no way an official project of the organization.
Even with no supervision from the upper echelons of the General-Kings and Queens, clearly nothing at all can go wrong. Participation is not a treasonous act in any way. You should not feel anxious. Everything will be fine.

Like anyone ever reads these. No matter who you are, RiftNet can connect you to like minded officers and ease the transition of Negaverse life!
Can my character exploit and take advantage of this carte blanche anonymous format?
They are encouraged. The RiftNet forum was made in what could only be naivete, I'm sure, and exploitation for nefarious purposes is the main goal.

Good! RiftNet is just the tool for you, then! You can interact with officers without fear of of ostracization for you views and form bonds with like minded officers. We are all, of course, undeniably loyal to our lovely superiors.
Isn't RiftNet a little treasonous?
Not at all! There is no treason here. RiftNet was made out of nothing but love and adoration for our hard working General Kings and Queens. While, yes, this is not endorsed or monitored by them in any fashion and there is a noted place encouraged to air grievances, it is RiftNet's stance the Negaverse is absolutely fabulous as is and there is certainly no discontent or treason here.
None at all.
The RiftNet admin may be looking in to limiting your permissions to more treason-y sounding forums.
Can My Character make an account just to investigate?
This is also encouraged. All released information is discoverable with some detective work. If players do not want their officers exposed as users, however, please work with them OOCly.
I have an Order Character!
People who are not officers or Negaverse senshi cannot pass the application process, you simply wouldn't be able to answer the questions correctly except in the rare case you are someone who has purified and still retains powered memories and somehow got a link to the site or you have an officer assisting you with Rift trivia. That being said, please PM me for plots and permissions that involve order and civilian characters getting a whiff of the site data. In the next stage, there will be another way this affects Order characters.
But what about DMC characters?
With the alliance broken, to become a user please supply an excellent reason why your dark mirror senshi would have a link and be able to pass the account creation process. This can easily be done by being invited and assisted by a nega friend! Don't let Admin find out, though...
So what, we just participate by having our characters sit at a computer all day?
There is also a smart phone app! But in seriousness, RiftNet is laying down the infrastructure to deliver something much larger that will affect things on a more action based level. This is only the beginning stages of a mult-faceted project. Participation in this innocuous first step puts one in the position to react to much more intensive plot prompts.
Does that mean it's all going to hell?
Absolutely not. Admin, creator of the RiftNet, is an officer in play like all the rest. He only hopes to make the Negaverse better. His love of Chaos is tempered with the knowledge that Chaos should only be utilized with the guidance of our beautiful and lovely General Kings and Queens and he in no way is upset with how controlled and leashed it is. Admin is here for you. Admin only wants to help and create friendships.
Do not fear Admin.
Do not feel anxious.
It will all be fine.
Short answer is yes.
100% OOC note: This initial prompt is serving as something of an in character interest and sign up thread for an upcoming plot. Characters who are loyal or upset with superiors will all have roles to play and signing up your character as a user will only be putting them in a position to interact with the events that happen herein. If you would like your character to eventually suffer consequences for participation, there will be an option to do so. If you would like your character to eschew consequences and participate but escape unscathed, this is also possible. Ultimately, the adverse consequences you are subject to you are totally in your control.
Similarly, having your character sign up as a user out of curiosity does not obligate you to participate later, should you decide that the prompts and happenings are not things you would like to subject them too. Maybe they looked around to see what it was and forgot about it!

The leaderboard will also be a permanent fixture that will be maintained weekly if your character is interested in bragging rights! The first tally is set for Saturday, May 3rd. Energy must be gathered in an RP. The rules outlined by Admin say nothing about starseeds but anyone who posts proof of ripped starseeds will find points equal to two large energy orbs in their tally. If the information is available, it can be discovered. If it's not listed as against the rules, it's fine. Admin is about to embark on a journey that will likely go down in flames and anyone who can puzzle themselves in his way or pour gasoline on the fire is heavily encouraged to do their worst. There will be no repercussions for such things. If you would like to mess with this plot in a way you are unsure of, please feel free to PM RiftNet. Admin is friendly. Admin will not bite.
