Todays skys were blue only a few clouds dotted the sky. The sun beat down almost oppressively. But a strong wind blew against warm fur to cool it down. Spring scenting the air with flowers and grass. Hesketh loved this time of year. The weather was almost always mild, there was always food to eat and there was little chance of freezing in the night or over heating in the day. It helped alleviate many of his worries. Though his worries now are different then just a month ago. It's weird spending most of your life worrying over other people then those people suddenly disappearing from your life. Instead of having to protect a young imp from a rock slide she started, or making sure his family always had food even in the harshest of winters. Now he just worried if he was being a nuisance to the kind herd who took him in after waking up in a basket. They were shocked to be certain, when you are expecting a young foal to pop out of a basket all ready to be parents but instead a full grown adult comes out you'll be mighty surprised. But they took him in they gave him a home and a new sense of self after he lost his family.
Thats why he was out here now a little ways away from the main herd lands. He was still in the herds territory. He was in the middle of one of the forests near the herd picking fruits and nuts for his herd to eat. It was a job he gladly taken up, but he was having minor difficulties. The was a large tree before him brimming with delicious passion fruit. The problem was they were all to high to pick by himself. HE looked around him but there were no sticks he could use to beat them down. He tried standing on his back hooves using the trunk of the tree as support to make himself taller but most of the fruit were out of reach. He stood glaring at the fruit just dangling there asking to be picked and brought home with him, they were to perfect to pass up.
