A'zam was prowling the streets, as usual, stopping every now and then to use the piece of cardboard and small hand broom he'd found long ago to attempt sweeping up what looked like tiny shards of glass from the street. Now, he wasn't getting paid in any way for this, mind, but he did not like stepping on sharp stabby items himself, and he doubted very many others who did not have shoes liked it either. So he'd taken it upon himself to try to keep the streets of the less fortunate areas of The City clean of harmful stabby things when he could. That was pretty much about all he knew how to do, actually, aside from run and somehow miraculously escape getting too badly damaged in huge fires. He still has no explanation for that, as all he remembers is chasing after someone who had a very very gorgeous tail. Hell, he couldn't even remember if who he'd been chasing had been male or female. Not that gender had ever really mattered to him. He was getting tired of this city and the things that went on, though. Oh so tired of it. He knew one of these days he was probably going to explode over something and get himself in trouble. That's what happened when you kept bottling your anger and other emotions up for so long, or so he'd been told before.
He shakes his head, clearing it of thoughts like those. Those thoughts tended to remind him of what had happened to the one that had given him that bit of knowledge. And those memories made him... extremely agitated and angry. And he couldn't be agitated and angry when he was trying to be careful with sharp things. He looks around, spotting what appeared to be an old garbage container, and walks over and sweeps the contents on his makeshift dustpan into the container before turning and looking back at the area in front of him, humming slightly now.

Ugh, this place was so, so dirty. She didn't like it. So very dirty and every time she cleaned something, it was futile because nothing ever seemed clean to her. Call it OCD if you want, but she called it normalcy in wanting to not get sick as you sleep. Who knew what molds and illnesses were creeping into her lungs every day she stayed here and nothing got clean. Maybe if she went and bought more cleaning products, that could be a thing she did. Her tail flicked back and forth as she thought and just sighed.
Shrugging, the seafoam green female left her house to go try to find some better cleaning products. She locked the door behind her and put the key in a purse she carried at her side. As she walked, she dusted her fur off as if she could brush away the heavy feeling of secrets in the air. She couldn't, of course, but if it made her feel better, she would.
Her purple eyes widened as she came across a male who looked like he was cleaning the streets. Something clinked, flashed in the sun, and she realized that he was cleaning up glass. "You know," she said, moving closer to him, "that a bigger broom and an actual dustpan would do wonders for broken glass? Not to mention it wouldn't hurt your back." Her eyes then lingered to the buildings that looked like they were made out of charcoal and she frowned a bit more. "...But you're doing The City a great favor by trying to clean it up. It seemed like... Well, it seemed like I was the only one who cared about cleanliness."

A'zam's head whipped up and around, hearing a voice behind him. Blinking in slight surprise for a moment, he looks down at his 'tools', then grins slightly and gives a small shrug. "I... ah... have to make due with what I have." He wasn't one of those citizens who let the Tower take care of his every need, after all. He preferred to fend for himself, since that's what he and his brother had done when they'd moved to the city just before the big fire had started. As it was, the apartment they had shared had been destroyed, taking everything with it, so A'zam really just moved from abandoned building to abandoned building every night for shelter.
"If I didn't do this, who would? Nobody else really gets out to this part of town and I know I, for one, don't like stepping on broken glass and bits of metal. It hurts." He glances down at his feet for a moment, then switches his 'broom' to his other hand, offering it to the female before him. "I'm A'zam."

"Well, I would? I don't like dirt, so I have this compulsion to clean." Sea nodded to herself and then put her hands on her hips grinning wide. "The name is Seahndra. Most all me Andi, or Sea. I prefer Sea, though. Andi makes me seem like a boy or something." The green girl waved her hand and then sighed lightly.
He was a pretty Audio, that was for sure. Out of place with the surroundings. He seemed... clean. She looked him over from head to toe and then just shrugged lightly, trying to seem comfortable surrounded by dirt. "I was out to get some new cleaning products. ...But I ..did have some questions, if you wouldn't mind answering them?" There would be no asking until he said yes or no. Some didn't have time to answer questions, and if he was cleaning, he honestly might not.

A'zam's felt his face curling into a cheeky little grin as she introduced herself. "I dunno, I kinda like the sound of Andi, myself, but if you prefer Sea, that works too." He drops his hand back to her side when she didn't accept it, then nods. "Yeah, sure, I got time. I can't guarantee I'll have answers, or know who might be able to help, but I can try my best."

Why on earth was she blushing over this nickname business? Sea huffed and just rubbed her cheek after a moment and then put her hands behind her back and hummed. "I should probably treat you to ....coffee or something if you're going to answer questions..." Okay she might be flirting now, but honestly?
He was kind of cute. "..If you don't mind that is." She watched his hand dropped and regretted not taking it, but still. She liked being clean.

She was certainly a cutie, A'zam had to admit to himself. And, was she flirting with him? This was a new thing for him to have happen to him. "I don't mind. Water or something light to eat sounds good. Although I hope I have the answers you might be seeking." He certainly wouldn't want this all to be a waste of her time, after all.

"Good...." With that, she grinned a bit and hummed, fingers toying with fingers behind her back. Sea jerked her head for him to follow her and started walking the way she had been. "Now that I think about it.. You might have to show me where a place is to... eat. I really don't know." She turned her eyes to him again and just bit down on her bottom lip. Yes, definitely flirting. It would help, wouldn't it? If she asked tough question she might be able to flirt her way into an answer.

He follows after her for a time, at least until she mentions that she didn't really know where to eat at. Blinking for a moment, A'zam thinks, giving a quick glance around him to get his bearings before leading the way to a small cafe. "This alright?" He asks, glancing over at her.

She followed him with a low noise and then nodded. "If it's clean, I don't care. When it comes to food I'm not a picky eater." That much was true with Seahndra. Petite, but she had quite the appetite. "My first question is.. Why is it so dirty here? Like... I feel like everywhere I turn there's soot and ash.."

He chuckles a bit at her statement about clean and not being a picky eater, then nods. "Yeah, it's clean enough on the inside. There was a big fire. Took out alot of buildings and people's lives. They've only just started rebuilding the tower, I think. No one really seems to know how the fire started. It left alot of people homeless. Some of us are just trying to make due as best as we can, trying to repair places we once called home or trying to help out in other ways. I don't really remember what the city was like before the fire, to be honest, I had moved here with my older brother not long before the city went up in flame."
