[PRP] Tarakini x Sionnach: The hunt is on!

Tarakini had been living with the Stormborn for a while now. As time passed, the more comfortable she felt in her own fur. Her dwelling seemed to hum with happiness and contentment. Kini pawed her bed and breathed in the smells of home. The faint sounds of a drizzle filter out her little window in the rock wall. Things were good. It hadn’t taken long to find a home either and the distance was decent. Not too close and not too far away. She was within roaring distance.

Sionnach was quarter pass done here. Her cute little borrow was destroyed. Some jerk had come in to it thinking it was okay to tear things apart and leaving it like that but! BUT! They had also taking her food that she had hunted on her own! Aka she had taken it from another lion, which at the time had not been easy at all! Not to mention that she had spent time making this home of hers and she did not appreciate the gall of some creatures. Honestly. “Wonderful.” She sighed looking at the mess. Now she would have to find another area to live seeing as this was the second time this had happened.

Tarakini huffed and puffed and rolled over. Relaxing was nice, but it was getting a little bit boring now. Maybe she could go out and watch some of the males fight one another as they trained. Her inner vixen purred in delight at the thought of muscles moving and bunching. What pleasant thoughts those were. Groaning she got up and sashayed out a little bit more. The rain was still lightly falling but the lip of her dwelling covered her body so she was dry still.

Sionn was getting jittery, it wasn’t often she found herself bored with nothing to do and the fact she now had no home didn’t help either. She tended to keep busy with activities or exercises. “Great.” The sarcasm was laid on thick and she grumbled before turning over with a groan. “Now I have to go through the trouble of finding another home.” A faint crack of her backbone broke through the silence and she could feel hunger pains start to claw at her belly. She looked around at the deserted area with a frown and thought about all of the lovely food she had just hours ago. It looked like hunting was in the very near future.

“Finally.” The rain had ceased and it was okay to wonder out in the open. Warriors didn’t mind the rain, but she wasn’t too much of a warrior so it was justified. Or so she told herself. Kini wandered over to the area of where the warriors normally fought only to find the space empty. “Oh poo looks like I don’t get to watch some male meat today.” She pouted heavily before shrugging. Maybe hunting was the way to go today, her supply was getting small after all.

The shaking of a bush disrupted Sionn’s inner thoughts and made her start in shock. While her mind had been elsewhere it seemed a creature had gotten so much closer without her realizing it. Some predator she was. Sionn got her claws ready just in case she had to defend herself real quick and lowered her body to the ground crawling closer. Bad things came in threes, or so her mother had once said before she had been killed in an accident. Sionn let out a frustrated growl when she tripped over a branch; it was like Mother Nature was out to get her or something. She paused when a familiar smell of feline entered her space and rabbit. Mmm rabbit!

Kini was along the border just taking in her surroundings. On one paw she was enjoying the view and on the other paw she was looking for something to eat. Lately, she had been more hungry than usual. Just the mere thought of food caused her mouth to water. Mmmm, maybe she would find a rabbit to eat. Goal in sight, she focused on spotting the said creature. She moved light on her feet picking up her pace with both eyes everywhere not wanting to miss a chance of catching her dinner. Oh! Something was moving in the bushes. Perfect! If she played her game right, food would be available tonight!

Sionn nearly yowled in fright. This starry furred lioness slashed at her muzzle and if she had not been fast enough she would have gotten a permanent scar on her beautiful face. Hell no! No way was this lioness going to take her prey from her! That was her kill to make and eat. Sionn reacted in defense and swatted back. “This rabbits mine! Back off!”

Kini’s nose flared in anger. How dare that little bit of nothing think she can come here and state things like that! She was on pride lands too! “You better watch yourself you upstart. This is pride territory you find yourself in.” She noted a flash of something go off on the others eyes before it was blanked out. She rose and straightened out her body to make herself seem larger. Larger and therefore more powerful. That was one thing she had learned when watching the males and females fight/train. It appeared to be working too.

Marvelous, threes it was then. Not only had she lost her home, tripped, but now she found herself on pride lands. This wasn't worth the effort, but lordy was her stomach hungry and angry at her for the lack of food she had given it. The sound of prey interrupted the stare down. Both lioness looked at the rabbit and then each other. The rabbit running seemed to break the spell of taboo. Sionn took off like a shot, and seconds later so did the other sparkily lioness. Crap, this was harder than it looked. "Grr." She had lost. The rabbit had been caught.

It seemed Tarakini had this in the bag! The other lioness looked inexperienced as she missed yet another opportunity of snagging the rabbit. Which in the end worked out in Kini's favour. With a quick snap Kini broke the rabbits neck and snarled at the other female to claim victory. Using her claws she warned the other female away and chased her off Stormborn lands. Puffing her chest she made her way home. Proud of all her accomplishments.
