Another night, another episode of slipping out to go patrol Destiny City for Megrez. So far, nothing had arose that really merited much investigation, and while it was nice to walk (or jog) around the city, it was getting a bit boring.

Perhaps Megrez was doing this all wrong. Maybe, if she sat down for a moment, something interesting would come to her. Perhaps, in her running around the city, she had just missed whatever would be worth investigating. A little break couldn't hurt, right? So, when she encountered a park and a bench, she sat down. If nothing came up after fidgeting on the bench for a bit, she would probably just give up, power down, and go home (though not in that order- walking around at this hour outside of powered form would probably be quite dangerous).

Megrez's gaze flicked all over the scene in front of her, checking for any signs of movement that could be suspicious. This would have to do until her boredom threshold was reached.

Megrez got that strange "sensing" feeling that she felt whenever a senshi was around. Another one on patrol, perhaps? At least she had been right about something coming to her if she just took a break. She got up and began to look around, trying to track the energy source as best as she could. "Hello? Is someone there?" She called out. She thought she saw some movement off in the distance, but she was a little too far away to identify it right now. Maybe if she got a bit closer... she approached Cruithne's position, though she hadn't quite seen her yet (perhaps because the chibi senshi wasn't what she was expecting to see).

The voice directed Megrez towards Cruithne, and she began to come closer. "You... think you're here?" Well, it was an Order signature, so she had nothing to worry about (probably). After a bit, she stumbled upon Cruithne at last. She was certainly surprised at the sight, even doing a double-take. "Hey there," she said gently, once she regained her composure. "What're you doing out so late?" She hadn't been expecting a child to be the source of an Order aura, and yet here she was. The tiara and general getup said added to the idea that she was a senshi, but would there really be senshis that were so young...?

"Patrolling?" Another point in favor of this girl being a Senshi. "What're you patrolling for?" Megrez just had to come out and say her question. "If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry about it, but... are you a Senshi?" With that question out of the way, she smiled and held her hand out to Cruithne for a handshake. "Well, anyway, I'm Megrez! It's nice to meet you, Cruithne."

"Right. The aura," Megrez said, lowering her hand. The younger senshi was coming off a bit standoffish to her, but, well, she was just a kid. It would take a bit more than that to put Megrez out anyway. "Yes, that's right. We senshi are supposed to patrol, whether it's for youma or for Negaverse officers in action." She did feel a little silly, telling the girl what she probably already knew; maybe it was more for her own confirmation. "I'm just surprised... I didn't think senshi awakened that young." No, it did not occur to her to check her assumptions before speaking. She seemed young, to be sure...

"Oh, really? Yeah, almost fourteen is getting there. You're going to be in high school soon. Are you excited about that?" Okay, the young senshi's true age softened the blow a little bit. Thirteen seemed... sort of like a reasonable age to get powers. Any younger, though, and Megrez would be genuinely surprised. There was something else to this situation, however. "You seem kinda nervous. Are you okay?"

Oh, goodness, poor girl. Seeing how frightened Cruithne was at the prospect of going to school and having to actually be around people tugged on Megrez's heartstrings a bit. This girl should not be a senshi, she thought; it must have been incredibly painful for her to go out and patrol like a normal senshi. "I'm sorry," she said. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to pry and ask if Cruithne had been to therapy for her shyness.

Then, Megrez came up with an idea. "It's getting late... maybe we should both go home, huh?" She didn't intend to go home, of course, but she hoped that she could get Cruithne off the streets. Even if she went out on her own volition, it probably wasn't a good idea for her to stay out.

So Cruithne didn't go too far from home. That was a relief for Megrez. "You're welcome. Have a good night!" she called out as Cruithne headed for home, and she watched the girl go. Once she was out of sight, Megrez took a look around. Where would she patrol next? Maybe she really should head in the direction of home and poke around in some places before she finally called it a night. That sounded like a good plan, so she headed off, out of the park and into the rest of her night.
