It's always just me, A voice in the worlds concert Just trying to get a bit louder to be heard!
Rose's eyes couldn't stop lighting up after looking at the building. "Wow, a real karaoke bar...I must say I'm excited." She was always one to enjoy new things and this was definitely new! She took one last real look at Axel, to really let the sight of his face sink in. "Alright, if you want you can put the hood back on, I trust you now." She blushed almost slightly enough to show rosy cheeks as she smiled to him. It was something about the way he was during the drive that let her know that he was a teddy bear, with singed fur. She made her way out of the car and stood at the entrance to wait for him. Already she was contemplating what song would be appropriate to sing here, and whether or not she would be liked or not. She usually just sung in Japanese but she recalled Axel's comment from earlier and wondered if it was best to sing in English...so that she would be understood by all involved.
Waves of thoughts assaulted her but her gaze was stuck on Axel. The guy was basically tall dark and handsome all wrapped into a delicately dirt colored bow. She giggled to herself at the thought of his description. "Come on, don't leave me waiting..." She teased.

As Axel exited the stolen car, he was told he could put his hood back on. The hoodlum gratefully replaced the hood back over his head and blocked out the sunshine that came down on him. The rays of sun now deflected off his hood. He felt secure again. Axel let loose a sigh of relief. No one had to see his face anymore. I felt weird, being told he felt trusted. Few people would ever say that to someone like Axel. It felt really strange. Don't do anything stupid came a voice in his head. This was a voice Axel hadn't heard in long while. Was this his conscience? Gonna need a drink after this he thought. "Coming." The hoodlum respond from his hood as he drew closer to his date.
Once inside, Axel looked around. It was unusually busy. A lot of women here at this hour. Wonder what was going on. Axel then took a guess and though perhaps it was a bachelorette party. He couldn't be sure. "Well, looks like you'll an audience." He joked standing next to Rose's ear. "I'm going to go get a quick drink. Be right back." And like that, Axel made his way to bar and ordered a beer.

This was now the second time Axel had paid for something with his own money. It stung. When was the last he had to pay for something, besides the chocolate bars from the supermarket, he wondered? Nevertheless, he returned to his date who had just gotten done chatting with one of the ladies. Axel stood next to Rose who appeared to absolutely stressed. "Hey," He called while taking a sip of his beer. "What's up? You look like something bad just happened." The hoodlum seemed to be so nonchalant about how the young girl might have felt. Something in Axel told him to put his arm around Rose, but why? He didn't know her well enough. He literally just met her an hour ago. Doing something like that would be just creepy.

She stammered a bit but when she finally found the words she was almost too ecstatic to speak them. "They offered me money to sing, apparently their old singer canceled and they offered to pay me his fee..." She put her hands to her cheeks and felt the fire of excitement make her skin crawl in her excitement. "W-what should I do Axel?" She could feel her fingers shake and her lip was quivering with every word. She was always one to try new things but she had never really performed a gig before, just impromptu sidewalk shows! Wait...was this a gig? Is this what a gig feels like? She was actually wanted by people, to entertain them. What would she sing?! Would they even like her?! She was a mess...

Axel felt the spotlight beam down onto him. Was this the first time being depending by someone? rose was a mix between scared and excited. Wasn't this what she wanted though? To be in front of an audience that actually cared. Plus, she was getting paid to do it! Axel thought this was as good a time as any. After much deliberation, Axel gave his two cents. "I say do it. They're paying you, you get to do what you came her to do, and on top of it, you get your name out there." He then took a long gulp of his drink and gave Rose a friendly push forward. "If you need a song that'll keep them entertained, just try something like Bohemian Rhapsody. Everyone likes that song." The hoodlum said reassuringly. And if they don't, they shove this beer up their.. "Actually, just about any old song from Queen should work for these ladies. It's just a party for them. Not like they're expecting some guy with a six pack and speedo to come out. You should be fine."

She was blushing almost too feverishly as she listened to Axel speak. he listed songs quickly and encouraged her. It was like he was stealing the fire in her cheeks with every word. "You mean it huh?" She looked up to him and it almost felt like she could see past the hood and see his wild hair blowing in the same wind that drove with them here. She laughed and took his hand in hers. "I'll do my best..." She lifts on her tiptoes just enough to kiss his cheek and with a soft hand on his cheeks she ascended to the stage... "Hello everyone..." She said, tapping the mics surface to give it a good test. "My name is Rosalina, and I'll be your entertainer this evening. Now I know you were expecting someone else...but I hope you'll settle for me." She slipped off her jacket and laid it softly on a rim of the stage before setting up. "Lets start this beautiful night with something risky..." It was like with the lights on her skin, burning it's ivory, she transformed from the shy mess she was into a girl who felt her crowd like a wave blowing between her legs at the beach. With her jacket off and the lights on her she must have looked so beautiful... When the word risky was thrown out there the girls in front couldn't help but ooo~! Rose blushed and even laughed slightly before picking up the mic and looking off to her hooded date. "Take me out tonight..." She said softly and a few woos were heard as the drums began to play on the large stereo systems. Her face didn't match the mood of the song with it's cuteness, but her voice, when dropped down an octave was brilliant. She ran her hands through her hair as the song carried and the beauty that was Rose on stage let loose. Each time the chorus dropped she called with her loudest howl to match the fearlessness of the music. Though she was cute she couldn't help but make the song feel somewhat sexier than it was. When the slow part echoed through the halls of the place she let her voice play with it and vibrato was her toy, she could send chills through the toughest male as she portrayed the character attached to the song. The girls in front could feel their need for freedom wash against their skin like soap and as each lyric came it shook their skin as much as their soul. Rose didn't dance much but she let her voice do the hard work and when she finished she waved her hair out of her face and took a deep breath to await the applause. It felt like...maybe...because Axel was here...she sang her best ever...because maybe...she was singing to him.

Axel felt his cheek burn a little when Rose lifted herself up to peck his cheek. That was an absolute first for him. He had never been kissed on the cheek like that. The hoodlum slowly raised his hand to his face and felt the spot Rose's lips had touched. While cliche, it was the first thought to come to mind. Had she really just kissed him? Apparently so. Axel was only brought back to the real world when he heard Rosalina's voice.
He could tell she was putting her all into the song when she started singing. Axel almost felt himself become hypnotized. He almost didn't realize that the song Rose was singing was a dedication song. A smile began to grow on the mischief makers face as he drew closer to the stage where the rest of the girls were. He was the mysterious stranger amongst the crowd. The only part of his face to be seen in the crowd was his smile. Axel was like the Cheshire cat. Smiling bright and capriciously in the dark. When Rose was done singing, Axel was the first to start clapping. He was slow. Like a villain applauding the hero for making it all the way to their lair. But this wasn't an act of backhanded congratulations. It was honest. As soon as Axel started clapping, so too did the others.

It's always just me, A voice in the worlds concert Just trying to get a bit louder to be heard!
Her little concert dragged on for about an hour and half. She sang songs of different tempos and textures and thrilled her small little audience. A bunch of passersby of the small bar even decided to follow the voice and after a while a smaller crowd had appeared at the base of her stage to join the others. Girls reveled in Rose's melodies, guys reveled in her beauty. She had lost her inhibitions and gave into the fun of the moment. She sang songs from all over the world, rock songs, pop songs, even blues. The karaoke bar offered a stool to rest and even gave her bottled water after being told her age. She had lost control of where she was an no longer cared about her shyness she experienced before. She had let loose and her voice was her only needed star vehicle. The crowd hung on her words and felt upon her songs. Of course, the one thing that stuck in her peripheral the entire night, was Axel. The man who had encouraged her to even do this, standing their with his mischievous grin. He may try to act evil and suspicious, but every time the siren looked at him she would only see his raggedy hair and chiseled face. His awkward blush and charming smile...he was the rock in the crowd of shining waves... The first to clap and the first to stop. He really was her first fan... "This is the last song of the night...I kinda got crazy up here and for that I apologize..." She looked to the batchelorette party from earlier and focused her eyes on the bride in question. "I started this little song and dance routine for two people here tonight and I would very much like to dedicate this last song to them. To the beautiful bride..." She rose her water bottle and watched as a few people clapped and woo'd. "And to the guy who got me up here..." She drank her water and slipped it down onto her stool before grabbing the mic one last time. The last song was almost powerful in it's message but it's beauty complimented the girl singing it. Her voice carried to the ears of those listening. She hoped to make them remember the first time they fell in love, the first time being bathed in the warmth of the person they gave their first kiss to. As the music heightened the emotions scattered to the awaiting ears around her. Tears fell, laughter was heard... When she finished she was given one final roar of applause before finally descending the stage. "I'm sorry I got a little ahead of myself, you must be exhausted from waiting on me..."

Axel was completely blown away as he couldn't help but watch Rose sing for so long. She was definitely meant for this kind of life. The life of a singer. She was already drawing in a uch larger crowd than she had started off with. Axel could imagine her going far in her line of work. Singing to mass crowds in a giant stadium concert packed tight with adoring fans all chanting her name. It would truly be sight to behold. Best of all, Axel could be there on the sidelines. Rose would live a nice big house thanks to her success and bring him along and...wait, was Axel daydreaming of the two of them living together. When did he turn into the delusional romantic? He quickly snapped himself out of his imagination and back to reality just in time to catch Rose's last song which dedicated to the bride...and him.
The hoodlum smiled as he could feel the frosty layer of ice around heart melt. He had never really been close to anyone in his life, but apparently Rose thought a lot of him. This trouble the shady character a bit. As the lights dimmed for the cheerful singer's last song, Axel found himself lost in the crowd of people. How long could he keep this charade of the mysterious nice guy up for? Wouldn't it be so much easier to just go back to living his life as a rebellious loner who did what he wanted anytime of day? Having Rose change all of that.
Before he knew it, Rose had finished her song had gotten off stage. She apologized for taking so long. Axel was momentarily caught off guard as he was in his own world. "What? Oh! No, you're fine." He answered back from under his hood as the lights came back on. "I could at least tell you were having a hell of a time. We should get out of her here though. Don't want to your boss to fire you, do ya?" Axel suggested. He almost seemed a little apprehensive about it though. He really wanted to keep this act up, just a little longer.

She felt a certain warmness rise in her cheeks as he spoke. He was so understanding, Axel even seemed to get how much she really enjoyed herself up there. With a smile she stood back from him and pushed her bangs back slightly and looked away from him almost in mock shame. "Yea, I think it's about time we got going, but don't worry about my boss...he'll get glad in the same pants he got mad in." She laughed and turned to a familiar voice calling for her. The women who had talked to her earlier had a check made out in Rose's name for about one hundred and fifty dollars. She said it was the original payment plus additional tips given from the audience. She was a bit surprised but it was Axel she turned to with the wide eyes. "I actually got paid...this is mine!" She was so proud of herself, she couldn't help but jump forward in her excitement and hug Axel close. She buried her left cheek into his chest and wrapped her arms around his waist, softly cuddling into an excited hug. "I can't believe it, can you believe it? I'm on my way..." She backed away from the hug and her cheeks grew scarlet.
"Thanks for being there for me..." She looked up into his eyes stayed close to him just for a little longer before looking away to bury her face into his chest again. He probably didn't understand it but, he was probably the factor that decided her fate on that stage... For a stranger, Axel was pretty high on her list of friends, especially now. She moved to his side and took his hand into hers before leaning close to him softly. "W-wanna take me to work? Axel?" She said, trying to change the subject from her outrageous act of public affection.

(The innocent puppy romance is driving me crazy! ADORABLENESS!!! ) Axel tried to show as much honest enthusiasm as possible when Rose started jumping around so excitedly when she received the check for her performance. Then she hugged him. If Axel thought he was caught off guard before, he was completely flatfoot right now. Rose not only hugging him, she was nuzzling her head into him. Axel looking around in a panic, almost as in an attempt to seek help. He had no idea what was going on. His heart was pounding so loudly he felt like it was going to jump out of his chest. The hoodlum then awkwardly brought his arms forward and put them around Rose. The face was visibly red, even in the dim light and underneath his hood.
Rose then began to thank Axel. It was almost like he was responsible for her success. "It- it was nothing. You did the work." When the innocent girl stared through the cloud of darkness in his hood to see his dull brown eyes that were suddenly filled with so much excitement. How did Rose see him exactly? Was he a friend to her, or something more? To make things even more hectic, Rose casually grabbed his hand and leaned against the hoodlum like they were couple in love. Rose then asked if he wanted to take her to her work. Axel felt his throat go drive as his face went a feverishly red. All the hoodlum could must was, "S-s-sure." The two then headed for the exit where Axel was still lucky enough not to have been found by the cops. The Dodge Swinger was still there and they still drive it. Axel would need to find the owner later and ask if he could buy the car off them. With the amount of money he was able to get, Axel probably wouldn't have a problem.

Leprechaun_Sean Oh! Would you like me to stop? Or maybe cut back? I can if you want. sad Oh, and off the Rose's job I guess. smile

Rose was happy to be led back out to the car. Axel didn't let go of her hand until they made it to the car. When she moved to open her door and sit inside she thought about leaning over and being close to him again but she began to suspect that maybe he wasn't enjoying her touches. At home she was always so loved by everyone around, which only included her parents. She was prone to hugging them and touching their hands and things but...Axel, he seemed to tense up and get slightly awkward whenever she did it. She reached a hand to grasp her arm as he drove. Maybe he just didn't like her touching him...maybe he just didn't feel for her that way. She rolled down her window again and let the breeze fall to her senses.
She liked the warmth she felt when she hugged him though, and the feel of his hand against hers was almost like bittersweet magic. 'I guess...he's just not into that with me.' She thought. He was still so nice though and she would remember the magic of this night for a very long time. Axel really was a great person in her eyes, and would most likely stay that way for a longer time than this....
