Personality

Overall Personality: Flamboyant, Egotistical, and Dramatic. He is considered the princely type. Poised and charming as a host, but bumbling and attention-seekng outside that milieu. His desire to make the female guests happy is very much genuine.

Dislikes: Anyone threatening his "daddy" position and occasionally the twins mischievous ways.
Strengths: Romance and charm, complete sincerity, boundless energy and enthusiasm, and a much better student and athlete than people assume.

Social Life

Family History: The one time Yuzuru Suou defied Shizue Suou's wishes and made his own choices, he divorced the woman he'd married at his mother's insistence and entered into a romantic relationship with Anne-Sophie de Grantaine. Tamaki is the child of that union -- well-loved by both of his parents, but despised by his grandmother, who believes that his father brought shame on the Suoh name.
Personal History: Brought up in his mother's home in France, Tamaki did not know his father until his estranged grandmother offered a deal: go to school in Japan and cut ties with his mother, and she would, in turn, offer Anne-Sophie complete financial security. With his mother's illness under consideration, Tamaki accepted, and flew to Japan. He lives in the second Suoh mansion, away from his grandmother, though he still seeks to earn her approval. He remains in regular contact with his father, and has begun to take an interest in the Suoh businesses.
Hobbies: The Host Club!, piano, collecting small commoner toys, enjoying commoner food (especially ramen), crafting wild and outrageous plans to deal with whatever minor mishaps have befallen the Host Club
Special Skills: Able to produce roses out of thin air. Aware of the fourth wall (and able to lean on subtitle boxes!). Sweeps most women off their feet without even meaning to. A talented pianist with years of practice, he can sight-read most music without hesitation. Irresistable puppy-dog eyes.
Primary School, Middle School, and Extra-School Activities: Because of his mother's illness, Tamaki was both enrolled in school and sometimes privately tutored in France, before coming to Ouran Academy in his last year of middle school. He has been at Ouran for a year and a half. The Host Club is his main extra-school activity, along with finding out all he can about Japanese history and culture, and about the commoner lifestyle.
