Appearance: Alastor has light skin and is pretty short at 5'4. He stands out a little having white hair and red eyes, but other than that he looks like any other Shinigami with the same uniform and having his zanpaktou on his left side. He also has a tattoo of tribal art on his right arm. Alastor is pretty lean and slightly muscular.

Personality: Alastor's presence is said to be dark and cold, growing up fighting for survival in Rukongai and having the world turn its back on him at a young age has had its impact on him. But underneath his dark characteristics he has a good heart and is willing to give is life to protect what is important to him. He doesn't have many friends, but when he makes them he shows little affection. His true heart comes out in his actions, when he is protecting loved ones and the Soul Society. On rare occasion you can catch him smile or hear him tell a sly joke, when you see that, its like seeing a unicorn.
Likes: Rice, Orange Chicken, Tea, Training and Cooking, though no one sees him cook, its more of a secret hobby. He likes being alone and training to become the strongest he can be. Not just for power, but to protect the ones he cares about.
Dislikes: Kido Training, Curry, Sake, and people who are too full of themselves.
Biography: Alastor Blade was born to Torik Blade and Kenna Ishikawa. His mother was a Shinigami, but his father what just a thug in Rukongai. His parents grew up together in the bad part of Rukongai, where Alastor spent most of his life before becoming a Shinigami. But one day Kenna went off to become a Shinigami and Torik stayed in Rukongai. Many years later Kenna came to see Torik in Rukongai as a Shinigami, he was now one of the most ruthless fighters in his district and she was in the Third squad, about to be promoted to the tenth seat. As kids Torik and Kenna were in love, but they never declared it to each other until the day she returned. Nine months later Alastor was born, Torik was going to become a Shinigami as well so they could stay together as a family. But shortly after Alastor's birth, his mother was killed by an Arrancar. Desperate for vengeance and power, his father went off to become a Shinigami. But he left Alastor to his brother, Kai, and asked that he never let Alastor know that his parents were Shinigami so that he would not come after him. So he left and after becoming a third seat in Squad Three, he was killed by an Arrancar as well.
Being raise by his uncle Kai, he felt alone in the world, never knowing who or what his parents were. All he knew is that they died, but he was never told how. He grew up in a similar fashion as his father, also becoming the strongest in his district. Kai saw a lot of his brother in Alastor, especially his knack for finding fights. He usually won, with his strengths mostly being in swordsmanship. But should he ever be disarmed he was also pretty good at hand to hand combat. One day he got into a fight and was overwhelmed with the power, he was unaware that his opponent was a Shinigami. He didn't even know what a Shinigami was, his uncle Kai tried to keep as much as he could about his parents as possible from him. Pushing the Shinigami to his breaking point, he released his zanpaktou and was about to kill Alastor. But his uncle intervened, taking the zanpaktou to the chest. In a fit of rage, Alastor's power raised dramatically, taking the Shinigami by surprise. This gave him the opening to kill the Shinigami. After he had buried his uncle, he became ruthless and didn't care about anyone. Instead of simply beating his opponent's when he fought, he killed him. He gained a reputation around Rukongai as a cold hearted ruthless killer.
One day as he was walking down the street and he heard a terrible scream, he turned his head and saw a group of thugs attacking a young girl. He swiftly took care of them, before the girl could come to any serious harm. She thanked him and introduced herself as Kika. She took a liking to him, and he to her but he never really showed it, but somehow she knew. Even with his cold attitude she stuck around him and always had a smile. Occasionally he would smile back. Eventually they had plans to marry and they gave each other a golden ring. The day before they were to be married they were attacked by hollows. He was beat down trying to protect her, he could no longer move. Alastor had to watch as his loved died in front of him. Before he could be finished off, the Shingami appeared and took care of the hollows. From that day he wanted to be a Shinigami and then enrolled in the Academy.
Though some would mistake this as him trying to get revenge, Alastor wants nothing more than to bring justice and prevent others from being hurt by the Hollows as he has. In the Academy he was Advanced at swordsmanship, slightly above average in hand to hand combat, and barely passing in Kido. When he graduated, he became a member of the Third squad. Alastor was distant from most everyone and didn't pick many fights. He wanted to leave his life in Rukongai behind, and it seemed that whenever he went looking for trouble someone dies. Keeping people distant from him, he felt he was keeping them safe. Everyone he cared about died so he didn't want that to happen to anyone else. To this day he still doesn't really have friends.
Zanpakuto Name: Shi no Kemuri (Death Smoke)
Sealed Description: A normal looking Katana, the blade about 34 inches long and the hilt about another 14 inches. The guard is in the shape of a cloud and the hilt was a smoky grey color.
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance: A young women, seemingly in her mid twenties. She has smoky grey eyes and light grey hair and wears a dark grey dress, the bottom of which always emits smoke.
Zanpakuto Spirit Personality: Shi no Kemuri is always calm and collective, showing little emotion. Though they don't really speak much, she obviously really cares for Alastor and wants to help him any way she can.

Shikai Released Appearance: No physical changes from Sealed. Gives the ability to create and control grey smoke from the Zanpaktou, covering up to 50 yards of an area. Smoke comes out of the guard and he can control how it moves and how dense it is with the movement of his sword or his hand.
Shikai Abilities: The smoke can be used to hide Alastor, having its own reitsu similar to Alastor, so when it covers the field it makes it hard to sense where he is, except to higher ranked fighters. The one offensive move he can preform at this stage is to make the smoke move with such force that if it hits your stomach, it feels like you are getting punched in the gut. The smoke can move up to 30 miles per hour.
Bankai Status: Not Achieved
Bankai Name: Karitori Shi no Kemuri
Bankai Description: The grey smoke from the shikai seemingly disappears, but it actually quickly returns to the Zanpaktou . Then the blade from the zanpaktou dissolves into a black smoke and the hilt and guard turn into a body length metal pole. The black smoke is faster and hits harder than the grey, not to mention its blinding/ hiding capabilities are much stronger, making the smokes reiatsu exactly identical to Alastors makings him impossible to sense. The amount of black smoke is about double of what is was in Shikai, covering up to 100 yards of an area, but it can be controlled with Alastor's mind as well as his pole and hand.
Bankai Abilities: Kokushibyō: When the black smoke enters someones body it goes to the lungs and its effects take their toll over time. After a while, the smoke gets thicker in the lungs, making it harder to breathe and causes frequent coughing. Next, some of the black smoke gets into the blood stream and makes its way to the brain. This causes hallucinations of doubles, slighty light headed, and slight trouble focusing. After 15 posts of the black smoke being in the lungs the black smoke exits the body from the mouth and ears, forming back into a blade on the tip of the metal pole like a spear. The only way the black smoke can enter the body is from the mouth. Alastor has to wait 5 posts before he could turn the the blade back into black smoke. If he does this three times, then after the blade reforms from the smoke the zanpaktou will go back into its sealed state and Alastor will be drained of strength and left vulnerable for 30 posts. For those 30 posts he will suffer the symptoms of the black smoke and will have to rest.
