Xander couldn't help but be excited when a new mission came in for him. It had been a while since the last one and the last time he left the base had been for the winter vacation. On the other hand he felt slight ting of worry since the mission happened to be a solo one. Oh sure he had been solo for past events but those hadn't been missions per say except one and even though he was 'solo' in that mission, there had been a good amount of Rockets there that could have been back up. He checked his communicator again for the details then left the base.
Time to get this mission under way.

Officer Cade kept looking over at his partner pokemon, Louis, with a slight frown. He and the Psyduck were patrolling on a fairly new route and the water fowl kept almost wondering off when ever something caught his attention. Normally his partner would stay by his side and wouldn't get distracted easily. Even thought Louis was a Psyduck and prone to headaches, the duck pokemon was pretty well trained to be a police pokemon and could focus on the job usually.
Cade was tempted to return his partner to his pokeball when the water type once again started to wonder off to the side, heading for what ever caught his attention. "Louis." The dark blue haired rookie hissed out. Louis looked over at him the obediently waddled back over to his side. "Just what has gotten into you today?" The officer sighed, not expecting an answer.

Xander pulled the car he had requested from HQ over in a parking lot. He knew it was one that allowed over night parking so the car wouldn't look suspicious to anyone that saw it sitting there. He then got out of the car and grabbed the backpack from the back seat. He didn't need a lot of things in this mission thankfully so they all fit in while still leaving room for pokeballs. He looked around the area to make sure no one was nearby then locked the car doors.
Just because it was around eleven o'clock didn't mean he wouldn't run into trouble. In fact it could mean his chances for running into trouble were higher in a way,

Once again Cade found himself scolding his partner for wondering off, not five minutes after the last time. "Come on Louis, focus! I know you can do better then this." He said, crossing his arms loosely. The Psyduck gave him a pitiful look and a low quack before moving back to where he was supposed to be. Cade let out a sigh and shook his head. He hated having to get after Louis but he needed his partner to stay on track. They had only been on the patrol route two times before this and one of the times it was with a fellow officer who was showing them the way and where they needed to be the most vigilant.
He looked away from the water fowl and scanned the area with a thorough but quick once over. There were coming up to one of the spots the other officer had helpfully pointed out and he hoped the Psyduck would focus during the time they were in the area.

Xander started to walk casually towards his intended target. It was a small pokemon daycare where, according to his intel, a rare pokemon collector had left some of his pokemon for a while. Also according to his intel, they would be there until the owner came back to get them tomorrow. And tonight would be the perfect time to strike.
He gave a subtle smirk then released Samadar. "Go scout ahead." He told the Zubat. Said pokemon gave a squeak in acknowledgement then flew off. With Samadar out and scouting, the blond knew he could relax a tiny bit. Not much since you never knew what could happen, but a bit.

When they got closer to the area, Cade mentally went over what places he needed to double check for anything suspicious. The first on his route in the area was a jewelry store that specialized in diamonds. The next was a specialty pokeball shop that made custom pokeballs, they were even known to work in tandem with the jewelry shop next door to make jewel encrusted pokeballs.
The last place was a pokemon breeding daycare. How popular it was compared to other places he had no idea, nor did he know if they had any pokemon over night tonight but it was something he would have to check.

It didn't take Xander long to reach the daycare's rear entrance. He looked around carefully for any hidden camera's or other type of security but found none. Personally he thought the care takers to be idiots for not having some form of security, even if it was just a security alarm or even a guard. If he had a daycare he certainly would take precautions! Oh well, it made his job easier.
The blond started to pick the lock of the back door, keeping an ear out for anything unusual that might mean trouble for him. Just when he heard the lock click open he heard the familiar sound of wings and he looked over his shoulder to find Semadar had flown back. The Zubat didn't look distressed, nor was he giving any warning signals so Xander took it to mean he was safe for now. Both Rocket and pokemon made their way into the building with no fuss.

Cade was thankful that his first two stops, the jewelry shop and the pokeball shop, didn't have anything amiss. Both had nothing unusual going on, no windows busted or doors open, and the jewelry store night guard had been sure to give him the sign that everything was fine there. He had two reasons for his thankfulness, one being it mean there wasn't any laws being broken, and two, it meant that Louis wouldn't possibly be a liability since he still was continuing to wander.
The Officer sighed when the Psyduck got distracted again. This time though something was different and Cade picked up on that after a moment. For one thing, Louis wasn't just wandering off aimlessly. For another, he was staring at the daycare with a puzzled look. Cade looked from his partner to the building then back again before nudging Louis with his foot gently. "What is it?" He asked. The water fowl gave a quiet quack then started to waddle over towards the store quickly. The blue haired man frowned but was quick to follow.

The first thing Xander did when he got into the building was to switch on his flash light, the second was to mostly close the door behind him. From the outside or inside it would look closed, at least unless you were close enough to really look at it. The blond carefully shined the light all across the room for any traps but found none which to him was not surprising. "Ok Sem, time to find some pokemon." He whispered with a grin then started forward.
He left the room and slowly made his way down the hall, keeping his flashlight pointed low so it wouldn't shine out any windows they come across. The first room they found was a grooming room and he only gave it a brief glance before continuing on. The next was a supply closet and this time the Rocket paused to see if there was anything of use to him. When he found nothing he went to the next room and his grin widened. He had found the pokemon.

Cade followed Louis until they got to the daycare building then paused. He looked around for anything out of place that might give him a clue as to why the psychic pokemon was acting up. When he didn't see anything in the front he looked back to see Louis had made it over to one of the building sides and was peering intently into a window. The officer frowned and hastily walked over to stand by the window, just off to the side enough that he couldn't see in, nor could anyone see him if they were on the inside.
After a moments pause he leaned slightly forward to peek in. At first he didn't see what had Louis so captivated but then he saw a light moving down the hall. His eyes narrowed when he saw someone walking into one of the back rooms. If that someone was meant to be there then the lights would be on, they wouldn't be using a flashlight. He looked down at Louis to see the Psyduck looking back at him. "Good job, buddy." He said then started to walk around the building. The person had to have gotten in somewhere and it would be the easiest was in to find it.

This was perfect. Xander's grin was wide as he looked around at the pokemon grouped together in the kennels. There weren't many pokemon there but they were rare enough species to make up for that fact. In one kennel there were a couple of Eevee's sleeping curled up together. In another there were some Lucarios. And the last kennel held a couple of Growlithes.
He looked around of the pokeballs, not being very careful about making sound. He wasn't worried about noise waking up the pokemon after all, not after he had used fast dispersing sleeping gas before he entered the room. It must have been his lucky night since all six pokeballs were held in a cabinet within the room and he recalled the pokemon into their respective pokeballs. He noted that they were specialty 'balls that Team Rocket could use to make a pretty penny off of, though that was just a bonus fact. He stuffed the pokeballs into the backpack and turned to leave.

Cade kept walking around the building until he and Louis came across the back door. At first nothing seemed wrong but when they got closer it was obvious that it was open. The Officer scowled at the door then turned to Louis with a thoughtful look on his face. "Alright Lou, stand there," he pointed to one side of the door. "And I'll stand on this side, get ready to get the jump on anyone coming out."
The Psyduck tilted his head and gave a quack before waddling over to where his partner directed him.
