Aminah rolled her shoulders, a habit at this point. Her staff just began to feel so heavy after a while in battle. "I know it was short notice, but I'm glad you agreed to some practice. Our last battle wasn't really going in my favor." She laughed out with the memory of their last team battle. She was a mage then, but she had experience over Zuri and Biroki and they still took the battle even with an Alkidike like Briella on her side.
She launched a water attack at Zuri, but it went wide and splashed against the trees behind her, tearing some of the bark from the tree. It would have been a good attack, that much she was sure of.

Zuri moved her spear from one hand to the other. She had been trying to get better with her left hand, but she would stick to her right hand for this one. When Aminah spoke Zuri nodded. "That was so long ago, I'm excited to see what you have in store for me now." she said with a smile. The last battle they had was a team battle, and when all of them barely had any experience. Now they all had a war under there belt, well Biroki didn't but she wasn't want to think about him.
She watched as the water came towards her, moving away as fast as she could. Looking back at the tree she was glad that she wasn't hit because that would have hurt. Putting her weight into the attack Zuri rushed towards Aminah, hoping her attack would hit and be as strong as the one Aminah had sent towards her.

Aminah was not prepared for what was to come from her friend. The last time they had battled had been such a long time ago, but even then, whether it was luck, good timing, or pure skill and talent Zuri had nearly commanded the battle field. And it looked like she was at it again.
Aminah moved to get out of the way of the ferocious attack that was aimed for her, but wasn't able to do a single thing about it. She was almost sure she was done for. The spear hit her and she could feel the wind escape her chest. It was in pure self defense that she was able to move the earth under their feet to shards and spiky slabs directed at Zuri.

Maybe she should be more careful. She hadn't thought that her attack would be so strong, this was just a practice and not the real thing. She didn't want to hurt her friend! "Sorry about that, I'm still in war mode I guess." she called out. She really didn't mean to do that much.
Before she could say anything more there was rocks moving towards her, and she could do nothing about it. Magic always interested her, even though she could only do ice the fact that people could do so many things with it was amazing. She couldn't admire the sharp rocks for long, she knew that if she lulled than she would be an easy target for Aminah. Again she reached out with her spear, not as much strength in the attack as last time.

Aminah saw the spear coming toward her and managed to dip and dodge out of the way of its swing. "I guess I shouldn't have left war mode." She called out to her friend, smirking at her own joke and letting Zuri know she was okay.
She took a deep breath in and touch a hand to her deep bruise from the last attack, healing it just enough to continue on with the fight.

She laughed at her friend. This was nice. Aminah was one of the only people she knew matched, if not exceeded her in skill. With Biroki she almost always won, and she wasn't sure that her own husband was to par with her skill. However with Aminah, well she knew that there was a good chance she was out matched. She was getting a fair fight.
She watched as Aminah healed herself and smiled before going back towards her friend with her spear. To be able to heal yourself would be a mighty fine skill to have.

She must not have healed herself as much as she thought she should have, since Aminah barely saw the next spear attack coming towards her. She had no time to really react and before she knew it she could feel a new bruise stinging and taking her breath away.
She reached around to her friend and grabbed the end of the spear, letting the electricity take itself up and into the hands of her friend.

She did it, she was doing good and it made her proud. She hadn't done as much damage as she wanted during the war, but this made her pretty confident that she did more than she thought.
When Aminah sent electricity up her spear and into her body Zuri swore. Electricity was not something that she liked. She stabbed towards Aminah again. This practice battle needed to end soon, she was getting tired.

Aminah heaved a breath and threw her body to the side, missing the attack. She was being worn down, and while Zuri looked tired herself, Aminah was in bad shape. She could feel the sweat running down her face and back, he hot and sticky Jauhar air not helping her cause. Zuri was probably more than used to this by now, especially with her short hair, but Aminah wasn't.
She pulled her staff forward and launched a weak blast of water at her friend, hoping to slow her down.
