ALM Slate Boldur 24 Hour Madness!
500 Slates
Sign up deadline: April 18th, 2014.
Here's another ambitious and crazy activity for everyone to join in! Please
read this post for rules and feel free to post any questions or feedback here!

This is an activity that intends to help members of the Guild gather some
Slate Boldurs at reasonable prices! In the worst case, you'll get Philosopher
Caches!
On Saturday April 19th (a week from today) for 24 hours only (or as long as
supplies last), the Guild Mule (ALMGuild) will list Slate Boldurs in the
Marketplace for auction only, starting 0 gold.
We'll be coming and going offline during those 24 hours checking for who
has the highest bid, and accept it if it's from someone from the Guild that
signed up for this activity and if the bid is something between 5k-800k gold.
The lower the better!
Available Slates: 500

Just post here stating that you're interested.
Only members with 100 or more posts in the Guild will be accepted.
We will corroborate the post count using the members list of the Guild, that
means, posts anywhere on the Guild counts!
If you don't have 100 posts already, you may sign up and reach the number
during the week.
gaia_angelleft How will this activity be executed? (DETAILS AHEAD) gaia_angelright
gaia_diamond When you sign up, someone from the Crew of the Guild will verify your post
count and accept your entry, or notify you of your current post count.
gaia_diamond On the day of the 24 hour Madness, we will list Slates as soon as there's any
slot available in the ALMGuild Marketplace Store.
gaia_diamond Since we're short handed, the ALMGuild account will come and go offline
during that day, but the times cannot be planed. We can assure it will be a lot
during the 24 hour period, because we want to get rid of these 500 Slates!
gaia_diamond When the ALMGuild is online and ready to accept bids/list slates, a post will
be made in this thread quoting the members who signed up (ensuring
everyone would get a notification whenever this happens)
gaia_diamond A list of those who signed up will be kept handy when accepting bids to give
priority to said members, as evenly as possible.
gaia_nitemareleft NOTE gaia_nitemareright Since there's no way to predict who's on the Marketplace or any
technology glitches, there might be cases where the bid goes to other user,
but we will try our best within our human capabilities to make sure the Slates
go to people in the list.
In case some external user bids for the Slate higher than the 800k gold mark,
no bids will be accepted for said Slate and the auction will be left to finish
within the next 7 days, and the gold collected from it will be used to buy
unopened Philosopher Caches that will be evenly distributed between those
who signup and the crew of the Guild.
gaia_diamond In case the ALMGuild store gets saturated with Slates, a Crew member store
will be used instead, and we will notify the Store link to those who sign up.
gaia_diamond If you see a hole in this plan or have any particular question, feel free to post here! emotion_bigheart
IMPORTANT
exclaim Only one entry per user. No mules accepted.
exclaim Store logs will be used to keep track of all the transactions.
exclaim We will be watching the Marketplace and Forums like hawks, if any user is
found to be using this activity for their profit, they will be kicked out of the
activity and probably off the Guild
exclaim That being said, we encourage all participants to re-sell the Slates in the
Marketplace FOR LOW NOT INFLATED prices, to help lower the ABP, or
give them away within the Guild.
Discussion and random conversation is encouraged between everyone
participating in this thread! Let's hope we all win a new friends from this
activity!

Marketplace ABP dropped from 9mil to 3mil I'm mind-blown by the kindness shown by everyone, deciding as a community to buy a limited amount of fish each to leave enough for the rest. Also the amazing honesty of all the Guild members that could have shown to try and bid on the fishes but didn't. When I planned this I was hoping I would help some alchemists, either by participating or by hopefully bringing the price down in the marketplace, never imagined I was going to meet the amazing people I have so far. emotion_bigheart You make all the hard work worthy, You are all awesome! emotion_bigheart

I would love to join as I need them (and am apparently horrible at fishing), but I know I don't have 100 posts in the guild and I am too busy to really obtain that many by the week's end. :S
Still, kudos to offering this. As it stands, I've had to resort to buying the majority of mine (and yeah, it was ridiculous how expensive they are going for).

I personally hate the fact that the slates have gone up so high. But I also blame Flynn's plunder (if you'd take a look) because the rubyback lion is going on bid for 6bil. Yes...SIX BILLION. This will raise the abp of that fish from 700m to god knows what. I call out our fellow gaians on their greed. B<
