Everyone had been talking about it. For the longest time, Anemone had thought people just thought it was cold out. She didn't know that they actually were talking about an animated film called Frozen. She didn't see in in theatres but when it was released on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital Copy, it wasn't hard to find a way to watch it. However, all of these movies were in English and there was no way Anemone was going to enjoy it like this.
She tried. She really did. She just didn't make it very far.
She would need to do better than this. There was only one way she was going to even stand a chance of enjoying it and that was by watching it in her native tongue. She had to enlist the help of someone else to track down a version in Greek but eventually she did it. Eventually she sat down in front of a screen and stared at the opening scene of Frozen.
Visually all she could see was ice. Ice. Ice. Ice. Accompanying the scene was a song. This movie was a musical, wasn't it? Theodora might have been unimpressed by the idea but Anemone seemed open to the concept, her elbows on her thighs and hew hands on her face. She leaned into herself, staring at the screen. She was determined to see it through to the end, and finally see what all the fuss was about.
Would she finally be cold too?
She watched until the beginning of the coronation day before she realized she had to go tinkle in the woods. Okay, maybe not the woods! A bathroom would work just fine for her. It wouldn't take long, or at least she thought it wouldn't. She ended up getting a snack too! It took longer than she planned and when she came back she had reached the part in the episode when the fjords begin to freeze over.
Needless to say, Anemone was a little confused.
She continued to watch though, and eventually the facts caught up with her. Elsa's sister was going to hunt her down and make her fix what she'd done, just like Theodora would have done her own sister. There was no connection there though, and instead Anemone simply continued to watch the film as it progressed through the storyline. The song Let It Go was sung beautifully but Anemone didn't seem to be all over it like many viewers here in Destiny City seemed to be. Not that she would have been able to sing the English lyrics.
The movie seemed to pass by fairly quickly, and before Anemone realized it the movie was over. She might have been surprised by some of the plot twists if she had the typical social memories most people would have, but without them the movie was just average. Nothing stood out to her as truly unusual, but it didn't make it bad. She hadn't been bored enough that she fell sleep, at least, although she did take several breaks. It wasn't her fault! She might not have fallen asleep but her butt had gotten so numb it felt like it was frozen!
