Psychopath- s**t. A person that lacks empathy. Dexter. Damn, it's hard to define this..I'll try to break it down.. Psycho- dealing with mental aspects of the body Path- a disease i.e. pathology or pathogen or Path- emotion i.e. pathos So, a person suffering from a mental disease?
Sociopath- hmm... I actually never figured out the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath. I'd guess that sociopaths are suffering from their inability to function normally in a community? Manipulative? Narcissistic? I'm not for sure...
Psychotic- the act of being a psychopath??
Schizophrenia- A genetic brain disorder. Symptoms include audio and/or vision hallucinations, paranoia, enlargement in an area of the brain....uh, I wanna say ventricle but that's definitely wrong...
Schizoid- A mild case of schizophrenia? I did a report on this s**t, too. Fuuuu....I DON'T REMEMBER.
Antisocial- hate for society/ people and interacting with others. Different from asocial.
Borderline Personality disorder- a two-faced b***h?
I would rate myself a 1 on all of it. It's been a couple of years since my psychology class sweatdrop

Vivian Cocoa -ThCrowOnThFence- Bump Because apparently no one here shares my intellectual curiosity. XPI just started to come back on. lol I am pretty sure I know what each term means, but I will need to refresh my member to make sure I am explaining it right. XD I took Psychology. The point is not to get a refresher first. The point (since you're apparently pretty sure you know what they all are), is to give it your best shot. What I really wanted to gauge with this, is how well people actually understand a variety of terms that get thrown around pretty frequently.

DX I was just saying that I was not sure could I explain it clearly without looking it up. Psychopath--Basically no conscious. Sociopath--No social conscious. I know there is more to it. I just can't think of how to explain it. XD Psychotic--A lunatic. Schizophrenic--Something in the brain that makes you see or hear things that are not there. It can be inherited. Schizoid--I have heard of it, but am not sure what it means. Antisocial--Not able to socialize, don't want to socialize Borderline Personality Disorder--don't know the definition.

Psychopath: A person with a mental issue that causes them to have little to no conscious
Sociopath: total guessing here, but someone who only feels complete when terrorizing others?
Psychotic: Having mental issues that cause them to believe things that are not, in any way, true, or distort things that are
Schizophrenic: Seeing and/or hearing things that aren't there. To have more than one voice inside your head, that you know isn't quite you, but may have some pretty good ideas (last part is commonly said by people that i've heard before doing this)
Schizoid: borderline Schizophrenic?
Antisocial: unable or unwilling to be in large social gatherings
Borderline Personality Disorder: having another voice in your head, but you are the primary and do not have the other voice take over at all, it just talks. similar to Schizophrenics
Overall idea how well I did? Maybe 2?

Psychopath/ Sociopath I think are terms used by the court system and basically could be interchangeable, I think the correct terminology for both or could cover both is antisocial personality disorder. I think the person lacks a conscience or if they have one doesn't use it.
Psychotic, - Someone with psychos?
Schizophrenic-, A person who can have delusions (Of grandeur) can have hallucinations, auditory , visual, of smell ( can't remember the tearm for it)
Schizoid -i don't want to try and guess but it might be related a bit to the above one?
Antisocial - a person who lacks caring for others or a conscience per say
Borderline Personality Disorder - as I have this one - it was termed this because they (we) kinda live in reality and unreality , no good sense of self, anger quickly and slow to let it go, real or imagined sense of abandonment, as a friend of mine says to me my feelings lie to me ( that would fall under the unreality) poor emotional regulation - I'm probably missing some criteria for this but to be diagnosed a borderline one must posses 5 out of the 9 criteria. I no longer have 5 out of 9 so I have Borderline tendencies with Bipolar disorder.
