Eve woke early, yawning on her way from her room. The ragdoll child heard humming downstairs, where she remembered the kitchen being. The toddler carefully went downstairs to the foyer. Her eyes checked the living room and then the kitchen to find her uncle Damin making breakfast. Damin was a tall, brown haired man and sadly the only cook in the manor. Her mother couldn't cook well and Eve, herself was considered too young to cook.
She yawned as he looked at her, "Is your mother up?" Eve shook her head. "Tell her she has a date for brunch in the garden." The little girl blinked, "But momma.."
Damin sighed, "I don't care. The man is her soulmate. Now go set the patio table, Eve." Damin himself found Ivy sleeping in her room, sighing. "Ivy, up!" Ivy glared up at him before he left to see if Faust was at the manor.

Faust was indeed at the manor, pacing impatiently. He seemed to be grumbling to himself. He didn't know why he was here. Ugh! She'd made it perfectly clear that she wasn't interested last time they tried this. So why was she--why had someone invited him to brunch?
Not that he wasn't hungry. He was starved. He crossed his arms over his chest. Stupid gaians and their stupid ideals. Ivy wasn't interested. And though that'd hurt him, he was willing to accept it.

Damin sensed him and sighed, "Ivy, get your grey butt up and dress casual!" He shouted before opening the door. "Would you be Faust?" The vampire asked gently. Eve looked up from where she sat on the counter, trying to get to her favorite cereal. Damin hadn't made breakfast for her, so she decided to get her own.
Ivy was already up and looking through her closet, her mind on her dreams. She dreamt of Faust and Lynwood. She didn't remember many of the elves she saw in her memories, but she did know Vate and his brothers along with a female elf that chuckled and a male elf that smirked often. She spotted the only simple and casual dress she owned in her entire closet. She dressed quickly in a light blue dress with sandals. After a quick brush through her white hair, she deemed herself decent and hoped Faust didn't think she wasn't interested.
Eve climbed down and walked to Damin, peering around his legs to see a male elf pacing. "um, hi", she said, feeling shy.

Faust looked up at the question. He'd expected to see Leirre, not some butler--no, he couldn't have been a butler. Could this possibly be one of the vampires who had kidnapped Leirre? But he seemed kind, and from what Acacia had told him about the shadows, they were the very opposite. "Er, yes," he admitted.
He spotted Eve, and immediately the nervousness left him. She was adorable, wasn't she? Simply precious. He'd been around more children than he would have liked to admit lately, with Vate having been so sick. He'd even spent time with the half fae niece of his.
"Hello there," he greeted her gently. "You're as beautiful as your mother."

Damin looked at Faust and smiled, "Welcome. I finished bunch and the patio table is almost ready." Provided that Eve's plants did not wish to try human food, but he doubted that. "Ivy should be up and ready at the moment." Eve smiled faintly at Faust. Damin knew of vate being sick late, having attended to him sometimes, but he was glad that Faust did not recoil at the sight of the toddler. She was cute for a stitch child.
Eve blushed slightly, "Thank you. You look nice as well." She turned her attention to Damin, "I'll go make a bowl of cereal, uncle. Tell momma to be careful of my venus fly traps. They love eggs." Then again, Damin wondered what type of plants eve was growing. Damin sighed, "I thought I said no meat eater plants for your garden." Eve shrugged and hugged Faust before heading into the kitchen to make a bowl of cereal.

"Cereal?" Faust repeated. wrinkling his nose. He shook his head. "No, I'll make you something," he said. He moved to scoop the toddler up. If they were having a fancy brunch, the little one should have something good as well. "I think scrambled eggs. what do you think?" he was completely at ease with her. For some reason, it felt as if she were his own daughter. He hadn't felt a connection like this to a child before, and he'd just met Eve.
"Let's go see if your mother's really awake," he said. "If I remember correctly, she's never been much of an early riser."

Eve was surprised at his reaction to her having cereal for breakfast. She tended to make her self a bowl and watch a few shows while eating. At least when Damin was not making breakfast, she tended to eat cereal. "With pepper and salsa please," she said when Faust picked her up. Damin watched him and Eve. He remembered Eve being shy around others especially elves. Eve ignored Damin and nodded at Faust's words, "Yeah, momma hates getting up early. She likes coffee though." If someone made coffee, Ivy tended to be less grouchy in the morning. However Ivy was debating if she should wear her hair down or pulled back in a braid. Damin and the others once told her that her hair was prettier down instead of pulled back. She left her hair down, but put a tasteful fake flower in her hair to go with the blue color of her dress. She headed downstairs, frowning at the sight of Damin and glanced towards Faust's figure for a moment.

Faust started on the scrambled eggs, adding salsa and pepper as requested. When it was finished he used a spatula to lift the eggs onto a plate. He handed it to Eve with a smile. "I'll make you breakfast tomorrow too," he insisted. "No cereal. It's terrible for growing children."

"I only have cereal when Damin doesn't cook. I would make my own breakfast if he didn't act like I was too young to cook. Thank you for making breakfast though." Eve replied with a smile. She hugged him before heading into the living room to watch tv. She passed her mother and chuckled as Ivy looked very pretty in her dress. It was rare for the grey elf to wear a dress. "Morning, Momma." Ivy blinked at her words and softly growled a good morning to Eve. Ivy was still not a morning person and needed one to two cups of coffee before she could function as a normal person. She walked into the kitchen and blinked at the sight of Faust, "um, morning. I'm guessing you made Eve breakfast?" Not that she doubted his cooking abilities, but she hoped Damin would consider at least making a simple breakfast for Eve. She knew she had a date with Faust in the garden, but her daughter deserved a proper breakfast. She poured herself a cup of coffee, pushing her hair over her shoulder while blushing a little. Not being a morning person, it was hard to function properly without growling.
