So, there is a shortage of many formulas, I've noticed. We've had this issue for awhile now, especially with inflation hurting the market.
Do you think Gaia should put Alchemist's Cases into the Bifrost along with the Philosopher's caches to fix this? Or do you think this would cause problems?

I think if we could buy alchemist cases it would help a lot.

Aw nooo XD That's my last attempt at making gold. It's the only way I survive anymore XD It would be helpful, but...I'm just biased since then I have no other way to make gold, since I hate to spend my real money. They should make them available in the cash shop again for a limited time, or sell certain formulas in the Bifrost for a lot of gold, as to sink some (like Loyal's store or whatnot) & that would be a good solution too. (maybe have them available for a limited time since otherwise the cases would become irrelevant XD).

Bunny does make a very good point. Alchemist's Case is the last reliable way for Alchemists to make an honest living since crafting higher level formulas for profit is too volatile and requires millions (if not hundreds of millions) in investments.
I think a good middle-ground would be to release some of the high demand formulas in a bundle or CS release like with the backwings formula.
Or maybe have a lesser version of the Alchemist's Case ("Apprentice's Case?") that is available for gold in the Bifrost. This lesser case contains only the lower level formulas that are in high demand. I know some of them are popular because they're easy to use for leveling (like the Case/Lace/etc. Meows and Trick-or-Treat Totes). However, the backwings formulas and level 10 formulas would not be included in this "Apprentice's Case." This way, Alchemist's Case will still be valuable enough to be an income source while people who need low level rare formulas to level will have a bigger supply to work with.

You and bunny make valid points. I was wondering if something like this would be an issue, so it's good to know my suspicions weren't unfounded. ^_^

I like your Apprentice's Case idea. That would be better than releasing the alchemist's case into Bifrost

If they sold those cases on bi-frost, expect some increase supply of inizio quests but don't expect their prices going down.

Sphyxia If they sold those cases on bi-frost, expect some increase supply of inizio quests but don't expect their prices going down. True, but it would make it easier for people to get them, and they'd sell the formulas that they got but didn't want on the marketplace too. But it WOULD impact people who make Alchemist's Cases for profit.

I can't exactly say that lower level alchemists are all doing it wrong when they got their own agendas for crafting those cases early. After reaching level 3 thanks to my zomg orb aggregate selling spree, I proceeded to be reliant on selling tickets and later on fishing... anyone could earn more money than going into barton for papers and flowers unless they score rare bugs every time. I just... used a lot of quick business routes so yeah.. when I think about it, if they were solely reliant on crafting cases, then I guess they're not very creative when it comes to making money because the popular way is what they're doing which leaves other avenues unexplored.

It is certainly true that there are other ways to make the gold, perhaps even better ways. I'm sure that they would be able to find those ways, and I'm not saying that the consequences outweigh the benefits. Personally, I would love to flat out see alchemist's cases in the Bifrost. But there are people who would be negatively impacted, just as I'm sure many people were when the Philosopher's Caches went into the Bifrost. I think the benefits outweigh the risks, but I'm sure people disagree. Besides, Gaia seems to have pretty much forgotten that alchemy exists, even though it would be a great way for them to make profit.

I don't think the formulas in the Alchemist's cases are really what's needed. To actually help, release of some new formulas which aren't using that much items that are present in really limited quantity would help greatly. A possibility could be to have a formula level 1 which can be crafted using items from the random items from Loyal's past ci items and/or combined with some stuff from gold shops. After that, this item could be used in level 2 formula and so on up to level 10. They could always mix in some crafted components (some already existing -- no need to add even more in the system) to craft those formulas. Since the base items are in stores, there would be no real limit since it would always be possible to get them. And it would even really serve as a gold sink (as if it wasn't already the case).
Another possibility could be for them to add 1 item (or a few items) per level which are considered as "fail" ones which aren't in CIs anymore in a CI similar to the one currently in Loyal's Bazaar. Chosen formulas for which components would be added should be realistic ones to do. For example, they could add the Frigid and Raging Night Jewel items (and optionally Envious and Vile Night Jewel). Those 2 items would make 6 lvl 6 formulas more doable. If noone is against it, they could even add some of the Daily Chance only items in it (components or items). And, if they don't want to have only alchemy-required items in the ci, they could add some other old ci items which are still interesting to wear.
Edit: Hmm... now that I've written all that, I kinda want to have a list done and have a post in the site feedback just about it.
