Boot camp--because calling it basic order training was catchier, but felt disrespectful--wouldn't be starting until ten o'clock, but Kaatje had been taught that if she wasn't there early, she was late. So she showed up to the soccer field, Keren Della-Blue in tow, with a borrowed truck full of crap. After checking in with the property manager, pointedly showing her CAC card for identification, and neatly netting privacy for her little fitness camp. Through liberal application of the what, you don't trust our armed forces? trope, which was a little low, but Kaatje was willing to bend the rules for an advantage in this war. Wasn't everyone? The stadium seating would, luckily, block off the general goings-on from prying eyes. She set up medical first: a shady space in case anyone was dumb enough to hydrate improperly. Kaatje put two first aid kids under the cot she'd rented, and wondered--not for the first time--if she ought to have gotten a screen of some kind. In case people actually got hurt, right? That's what emergency services was for, and she didn't anticipate anyone getting sick on such a clear, cool day. The temperature was hovering around a chill sixty-five, with a light breeze, low humidity and bright sun. She'd never known anyone to pass out in conditions like this. She left Keren setting up the Gatorade and water coolers on one of the folding tables to set up more s**t, and once all the s**t was set up, it was nine fifteen and time to warm up. By the time Kaatje and Keren were finishing their cooldown stretches, people were starting to gather by the open door into the stadium space. "You're up, science kid," said Kaatje, straightening her ponytail. "Remember, powered name and civilian name and a phone number or email they can be reached at." She crossed the field to the little platform she'd erected while Keren was supervising the contractors erecting the temporary wall. (It was surprising what you could rent, really.) She took a seat on the edge of the platform and crossed her ankles. It was going to be a fun day, that was for sure. ooc: Remember, signups go until the 15th, so you won't be receiving your pairing until then--but feel free to come on in and introduce yourself to people. Quote if you're talking to anyone specific, etc, etc.

Keren had come ready to participate if need be, in her old Crystal Academy athletic department shirt and shorts, and a new-ish pair of running shoes. She was counting on being called upon to demonstrate once the day was underway, although for now, she was happy to go wherever Kaatje told her to go and do whatever Kaatje told her to do in the name of the greater good, and if that meant manual labor, well - Keren was strong. She was six feet tall and she could totally carry around a whole cooler of ice and gatorade if she wanted to, no sweat! So, like, she felt pretty cool.
"Gotcha," she nodded to Kaatje, taking up her clipboard. One last glance at the contractors told her that things were under control over here with the climbing wall - they were professionals, after all. They knew how to do their jobs. With an "I'll be over there if you need me," Keren waved and headed over to the registration table. Earlier, she'd laid out four shiny, laminated Staff badges, one each for herself, Kaatje, and both of the medical volunteers, and she clipped one to the front of her shirt as she sat down.
She felt very official. Very important. Today was going to be good - she had a feeling.

The campus of Destiny City University was not an uncommon place for Paris to be at all, even on a weekend. If she wasn't at home on any given day, chances were high that she was on or around campus, attending classes, making use of the various studios, hanging around the baseball field or, when she felt up to it in the evenings, patrolling the areas of town nearby. Odd as it was for someone who'd once had little interest in school and even less interest in going to college, campus had become one of her safety zones. She knew it like the clichèd back of her hand.
So it wasn't too much trouble to make the hop, skip, and jump from the Student Union where she occasionally manned the ticket desk to the soccer field she admittedly did not visit as frequently as she did other areas. Boot Camp was by no means of any particular interest to her (she thought she'd been getting by just fine the last three years, thank you very much), but it was an excuse to spend some time outside (likely with friends, with how many familiar faces tended to pop up at Senshi events), and a little casual competition certainly never hurt anyone. It got her out of the house—and who knew, it might be fun.
Paris scanned the area upon arriving, a short, slim girl in her black yoga shorts and a purple hoodie courtesy of the DCU Dance Team, sipping on what remained of a fruit smoothie as she looked around for someone official looking to get the lowdown on what was to follow. With a preppy swing of her high, beribboned ponytail, she made her way toward said official looking person by an equally official looking table.
“I feel like I've seen you somewhere before. You look kind of familiar,” she said by way of greeting, eyeing the tall girl with the clipboard and trying to place her face. She thought there might have been another official looking table involved not too terribly long ago. “Paris Gallo. I'm assuming this is where I'm supposed to be. Do you need to verify me to make sure I'm not an evil creep or something? I'm unarmed, I promise.”

At first, Keren considered remarking that Paris might know her from Crystal Academy, but upon reflection, she realized that although the other girl definitely looked like an alumnus, she wasn't someone Keren recognized from her time there. "I was abducted by aliens a few years back," she said, flipping the clipboard towards Paris and handing her a pen. "Maybe we ran into each other then. I'm gonna need you to print your name, email, phone number, and Justice League of America codename on the top line." As Paris filled out the sign-in sheet, Keren folded her hands beneath her chin and watched. "There's not really a good way to verify you, Barbie," she said thoughtfully. "We're keeping this very low-key. No powering up. No one should be here who wasn't personally invited through the grapevine." It was a relief that people were here, though! Keren had utmost faith in Gunn, but she'd had a moment of doubt in other people. She pointed across the field, to where Kaatje sat on the platform. "Gunn - Kaatje - is over there. You should go say hi. Maybe." She wasn't sure how Megiddo and sorority girls would mix - they almost seemed like entirely different species.

“Those alien abductions are kinda unfortunate, yeah?” Paris said and set her smoothie down to take the offered clipboard and pen. She was unsure if that explained the vague sense of familiarity, but it definitely sounded like this girl was talking about the Surrounding, and Paris had certainly been there.
She hesitated before scrawling out the required information, wary of a sign-up form associating her civilian name with any variation of her powered name, before she shrugged and decided there was nothing wrong with a codename for her codename.Quote: Name: Paris Gallo. Email: babyboo94@email.com. Phone #: XXX-XXX-XXXX. Justice League Codename: Mega Luna, the Lady of Lustiness Paris signed it with a heart and handed it back with a peppy smile. The Barbie jab, which Paris chose to take as a bit of friendly teasing, had not gone unnoticed. She supposed it wasn't entirely unearned, in any case, given her thinness, her blondeness, and the (perhaps overt) girlishness she tended to exude.
“This thing starts at ten, right? I suppose mingling until then isn't a bad idea. You and she're in charge?” she asked, jerking a thumb in Kaatje's direction. “I'll go say hi before I strain my brain trying to figure out where I've seen you before.”
And she sccoped her smoothie cup back up and sauntered off to do just that. This time the swing of her ponytail was purposefully exaggerated.
“I hear you're Kaatje,” she said upon approaching the platform. "Pretty sure we've never met before. You the drill sergeant? Paris Gallo, otherwise known by the enormous size of her moon.”

A curious chirp would have announced the arrival of the Silver Lady... if anyone had actually heard the soft sound as the burmilla cat rounded the end of the bleachers and caught sight of the very beginnings of the gathering. Honestly, there had been nothing that could have prevented her from coming to a gathering of senshi, even out of fuku... This was a prime opportunity to network and gain contacts, a huge benefit in Ash's line of work.
Lifting her tail as she bounced forward, Ash made for the doorway and the two women that occupied it currently. Her silky soft body wove between legs as she looked upwards, hoping to draw attention down to herself.
"I'm here!" She chirped happily as she blinked upwards, all big eyes behind her visor. "Guardian Ash, reporting in!"
Best to announce herself right away. If they needed some energy suppressed, they needed to know who to call.

It had been a long time since Keren had seen a talking cat, although she knew that they were definitely wrapped up in this senshi business somehow. The last one, if her memory served correctly, had been *********, all the way out on the Surrounding, and that was practically ancient history. So when the little burmilla first appeared, Keren initially mistook her for a stray before realizing she was, in fact, a fully-sentient alien creature of unimaginable power and intellect. Leaning over the table to look down at the cat, Keren said, "Okay, uh, I guess I should sign you in?" She did not exactly have a contingency for this kind of thing, but she was going to try. Name: Ash (Guardian Cat). "Do you, uh - do you have a phone number or email address we can reach you at?" she asked hesitantly. She didn't want to accidentally offend the cat, but then again, this seemed thoroughly absurd. Was Ash, like, planning to do push-ups with the rest of the attendees?

Xander walked in adorned in his hospital gear, khaki, a polo shirt, and a white labcoat, with his stethoscope sticking out of one of his lower coat pockets. He was to be helping out today just in case someone managed to hurt them selves. He hoped his medical expertise wouldn't be needed, but was happy to be a doctor in all this. He didn't to much fancy training during the day and at night.
Lily trailed behind him, in a simple pair of running capri's and green hoodie with white letters that said 'Eat More Rabbit Food'. She grinned spotting a familiar head of blonde hair, but stopped at the desk with her brother looking down to see a cat reporting in and trying not to grin at the odd normality of something that would freak most people out.
The pair of curly red heads reached the table and Xander was the first to speak, "Xander Jacobs, here to do medical." Lily stepped up behind him and smiled, "Liliana Jacobs, here for boot camp. Where do you want us?"
The pair looked at her expectantly, though Lily itched to get started and give her friend a quick hug.

Boot Camp. This was no a place most people would have expected to see someone of Delilah's not only physical build but mental as well. She was not a warrior and the idea of doing pushups scared her a bit. However, she knew that fighting was her weak point. Getting stronger needed to happen and quickly.
Wandering around a part of DCU she had managed to learn, the raven haired girl made her way towards the small gathering of people. It was the sign up table that caught her attention. And the cat.
"Talking cats. Guess I am in the right place." Delilah smiled as she knelt down and offered a hand to the cat before reaching out to pet behind her ears. The cat was high energy so maybe it would do a great job on the running?
"Hi. This where humans sign in as well?" Looking back at the table, Delilah smiled as she looked at the woman behind it. Yep, she felt short already.

The table was a bit of an annoyance at the moment, but the guardian knew how to fix that. As more people arrived, she made a smooth jump from ground to table top.
"I have a senshi phone of my own, but you'd have to be powered up to call me on it. HOWEVER, I do indeed have an email address! As well as a facebook, twitter, linkedin, livejournal..." The cat rattled on in this vein for a bit, covering pretty much every social media and email provider there was before she finally wound down. "But, uh... I guess if you just want an email, you can reach me at theSilverLady@gmail.com. Yes, that would probably be easiest."
Ash looked rather pleased with herself as she tucked her hindend under her and settled to sit, turning to look over the new arrivals. A young woman crouching to reach her had the guardian reaching in return to headbutt into the hand and petting, a rumbling purr rolling from her chest in delight.
Oh yes... this was not what she had come for, but it was a wonderful bonus.
"Hello, darling!" She said through her purr, green eyes slitted. "Come on in! This lovely lady will take down your information."
Mascot officially on duty.

Keren focused first on writing down Ash's email address, although she couldn't even begin to fathom what a cat might have on its LinkedIn page. Professional mouser? Part-time lap warmer? Skilled in purring, eating, and using the litter box? Magic cat, she reminded herself, before she got too far onto that tangent. Having the cat on the table and directing the flow of traffic would hopefully prove to be a boon. "If you could all form a single-file line, please?" she asked, smiling her most pleasant smile at the two girls and the man waiting for her attention. Once the crowd was under control, she held one of the staff badges out to Xander. "You're the doctor?" she asked. "Great. Can you write down your contact information here, and then go see Kaatje over on the platform? She'll show you where you'll be working. Name, phone number, email address, and I'd really prefer your real secret identity, but it's not like I can force you." She was, after all, not Megiddo today. She did not have a pitcher, nor the authority to punch people in the face just for pissing her off. That would be super bad for business and probably result in her firing. To Liliana, Keren gestured to the clipboard once Xander was finished with it. "Second verse, same as the first. Thanks for coming." She waved to the dark-haired girl who arrived behind both redheaded siblings. "Yep! Just do what everyone else is doing, and then head over that way. We're going to start warm-ups at 10 AM on the dot, but it's social hour until then. Thanks for coming."

Kaatje kinda recognized the blonde that approached the platform, and she waved one-handed. "I'm a training instructor for the day, yeah," she said. "Kaatje. It's got two As and a J. Also known as Gunn, with two Ns. I don't think we've met, but we have a mutual friend. Tallulah?" She had to say, Paris Gallo was a lot more girly than expected, even with Tallulah's descriptions. Kaat adjusted her own curls, wondered if complimenting the perfect blondness of Paris's hair would be offensive, and decided not to. Her bright red was prettier, anyway. "So… dance team. That's cool." Gunn had not actually started college. She'd done intramural tennis in high school but that wasn't like, a dedicated thing, it was just for fun. But she was a licensed airplane mechanic now, so, like she needed to go to college anyway? Pssht. ******** your college admissions statistics, Crystal! "Have you done something like this before, Gallo?" She leaned back on her hands, trying to determine if the other girl had brought her A game of workout clothes--Kaat herself had zipped up a light form-fitting runner's jacket over her sports bra, and she could roll up the cuffs of her leggings if she had to--and then, of course, her sneakers. The ones from basic had died an honorable death four months ago, and now she had cute and sporty black sneakers. "Just that once we get to running, you might not want that thing on. Heat stroke, you know?" Which, speaking of. She leaned to the side and raised a hand. "Hey, Jacobs…es." She knew Maia from the Blood Moon Court, they'd all known each other's civilian faces and names--she hadn't known that those two were related, though, although now that she saw them in the same space it was a little obvious. "I started setting up over there for you, Sir Jacobs the Fourth. Marcella Palomo's gonna come help you out." A small crowd was forming, which was great. Kaatje didn't really expect a big turnout, because she had to prove her concept--that she wasn't a Negaverser and that all this was going to be safe for those she was proposing to teach. But as long as they had enough for people to form up into pairs, then that would be fine.

“Oh, yeah, Tallulah and I are on the same team,” Paris said, and decided if this girl was acquainted with Tallulah she had to be alright. Paris was at least fairly certainly that Tallulah didn't hang out or make it a huge habit to know terrible people. “Here's hoping she hasn't told you any embarrassing stories!”
Not that Paris was ever really embarrassed about... well... anything.
She was pretty sure Tallulah didn't have any good dirt on her anyway. They'd not known one another back when there was good dirt to have.
“Never done boot camp, no, but I don't know, ballet school's probably kinda like boot camp,” she continued, sucking out the last of her smoothie and drawing out the empty gurgling noise through her straw for an unnecessarily (and obnoxiously) long length of time. “Always have someone shouting at you to do this and do that and get to the barre and lift your leg higher and you're awful, do better, that sort of thing. I've got this, no sweat. This can come off,” she added with a tug of her hoodie, then tossed her empty cup into a trashcan.
“Hey, Lily!” Paris called, whipping around to spy her friend as soon as Kaatje drew attention to the red-head on her brother. “I figured I'd see you here! I mean, it seems like your kinda thing.”

Marcella arrived in scrub pants and a white t-shirt featuring a cartoon shark thanking her for donating blood, and made her way to the tent. She knew precious few allies by their civilian identities, and was not precisely the most outgoing girl - far moreso in uniform, truth be told - but fortunately the "STAFF" badges helped indicate whom she strictly needed to talk to.
"Hello, I'm Marcella" she offered as she entered the tent, as she shifted the weight of the small, worn, white leather backpack she carried over one shoulder. It had a first-aid kit inside, the one she ordinarily carried while patrolling as Sailor Asclepius, but it looked like there were some medical supplies provided, as well.
"I, uh, brought some little gatorade things in my car, too, if someone wants to help me bring them over here?" Hazel eyes glanced around for volunteers.

When Keren addressed Xander, he gave a firm nod and took the staff badge before pinning to his lab coat in taking the proffered clipboard. He started writing down his information, but arched an eye brow at the mention or writing down his secret on paper. He shared a brief glance at his sister, before handing her the clipboard sans his identity.
Lily looked at the paper and jotted down her information, also sans her secret. Not that she didn't trust Keren, but she didn't feel comfortable with that information on a piece of paper. She handed the clipboard back, "I'd rather that not be on paper, no offence to you, but if you happen to loose it ..."
A hand on her shoulder had moving away from Keren toward Kaatje and Paris where she and her brother we're address. She smiled at Kaatje, "Long time no see," she said gently before turning to Paris while Kaatje addressed her brother.
Xander gave a wave and nodded, "I didn't bring much outside of the first aid supplies I had in my car, but I can take care of many things including minor stitches if need be with this little kit. Glad to know I've got help, though I'm hoping there wont be to many problems."
Lily grinned at Paris and nodded, "yes this is right up my alley. We need as much training as possible and to make connections. Unity and survival," she said softly before giving her friend a quick squeeze.
She gave a laugh, "I should probably stretch, didn't get the chance before I came in."
