Astriana was out at the beach again, this time carrying her new little green. She and been asked to come her by the little boy she had met when cleaning the Weyrlingmaster's dragon. She looked around, wondering if he was here yet or if she was the first here.
'So, we just wait?'Cordi asked in her head and Astri nodded her head softly.

Ionan had been waiting for them. He ran up to Astri and wrapped his arms around her waist. "You're here, you're here, you're here!" He exclaimed, happily. He paused only to study the green dragon at Astri's side--before promptly wrapping his arms gently around her. "What's your dragon's name? I was at the hatching, you know! One of my other friends Impressed too! A blue! And Becka Impressed a green!"
He expertly scratched at Cordi's eye ridges, beaming. "Did you see how that gold attacked Becka's green? That was scary, but not nearly as scary as when that mean blue attacked everyone when Hisith hatched! Want to play tag? Dragons are really good at it, promise!"

Astriana was a little taken by surprise as Ionan came up and hugged her. She managed to return the hug, a little awkwardly, before she listened to him go on about being at the hatching and some of the things that had happened. Cordonnith looked ready to hide behind her rider as the boy hugged her. Then he scratched in just the right spot and she wondered if she should give him a chance.
"Yes, a lot seemed to happen during the hatching, didn't it? I cannot say I was scared, but it was a lot to take in all at once. I am just glad no one was hurt too seriously. And hide n seek, I suppose we can play that,"Astri replied.
'Must we, Mine?'Cordi questioned, earning a nod from Astri and an explanation that Ionan was her friend.

"You weren't scared?" Ionan blinked, surprised. He'd been scared! That gold had been scary! Not at all like Calith, who was almost the exact opposite of scary. Almost because once she had scared Pelias; but that hardly counted! She hadn't scared him! Ionan knew how nice Calith really was!
"Really? Great! Come on, I'll be it! You go run! I'll give you both a headstart, but I'll still win! I'm as fast as a green!"

Astriana nodded her head in reply, she had faced things scarier than some hatchling trying to bully others.
"No, I really wasn't scared, more concerned for those that crossed that one's path. I have faced many an angry creature, I try not to show any fear when dealing with any living being...if I can help it. Plus, it was handled before things got too far out of hand. Sometimes you have to trust someone more experienced or something like that will handle it,"Astri explained. She watched him run off, then looked a little puzzle.
'Shouldn't one hide when playing this game?'Cordi asked.
"Ionan, I thought we were playing Hide N Seek, not tag,"she called after him.
