"I need some air!" Bowser roared and pushed past the shocked Koopa out onto his balcony. It overlooked the Koopa lands below and even below that the lava that bubbled there. Although it was still morning carriages could be seen in the distance getting ever closer down the windy road that lead to his castle. He narrowed his eyes wondering if his future queen was in one of those carriages or if tonight was going to be just another dud.

 Lady Meera stretched and stood up it was early in the morning but she had to get ready and head to the Koopa Kingdom she had been invited to a spring fling party there and wanted to go. See a new place and find new people to get to know. Most of the others in her kingdom were just interested in rank and stupid things like that they would only associate with other high ranking noodles and that bothered Meera. She preferred to get to know people for who they were and not if they were high or lower than she was. She put her makeup on and then walked out to her carriage. Some of her luggage was already there since her kingdom was so far away she would need to stay there for a little while and it didn't bother her at all. A change of pace and scenery sounded perfect to her. She looked out the window as the carriage road along. She was tired and closed her eyes to take a nap. Hours later the carriage got closer and Lady Meera woke up. She looked out the window eagerly to catch sight of Koopa castle. She had never been there before and she was delighted to see what it looked like.
She wondered what the king here was like. Was he a nice man or a not nice one? Did he had a queen and a family? She figured she would find all of that out when the party started. Her carriage finally stopped at the castle and she slipped out of it stretching again and letting her stiff muscles loosen. She looked around at the castle and was shocked by everything that was there. It was definitely a different kind of castle from the one she was used to.

vampireluver123 Sorry if I'm going a bit overboard. xD; I'm really getting into this RP already and developing Bowser's backstory. I also blame the intense meta going on at another shop.
Bowser watched as his Koopa grabbed luggage and lugged it in while the butlers bowed to the guests and scurried them inside. Most of the guests coming were from far-off lands and had to be housed in the castle for a night or two to make their trip worth it. Those early guests were allowed to freshin' up a bit and brought a mid-day snack with some tea before the dinner. Then tonight's party would be full of dance and drink. Tomorrow's breakfast would be a feast followed by a mid-day play put on by the Koopa's, several games, an evening feast, and yet again more dancing and drinking. That final morning most of the guests would leave. This gave Bowser optimum time to meet some of the ladies.
"Sir...?" Bowser turned back and looked over his shoulder at his head Koopa. "It is time for you to get ready." He nodded and left the balcony walking back in to don his own crown and prepare for the dinner.

Lady Meera smiled and bowed to the Koopas who came and took her luggage. She was being polite and thanked them for being kind enough to carry her things. It was very nice of them even if it was their job she still liked to be polite. She nodded back to the guards and looked them over to see what she thought of them but then shrugged what could you tell from how someone looked? Not much. She watched the other ladies and then men who stepped out of the different carriages and looked at the different outfits they were wearing. Some looked like flowers and it was really pretty. but some had gone a bit over board and Meera had to bite her lip to not giggle. They were just so frilly and silly. It was cute to Meera. She looked at all of the makeup too and smiled. Very pretty flowery make up too. Though from what she could see she looked to be a bit plain among all of these flowers but that was fine with her. She wasn't looking for a mate or anything like that right now. She had had to deal with too much stuff from people wanting to be her mate and it had never ended well.
But she was sure she could find someone or multiple someones here to flirt with. That was fun for her and it was always lots of fun to watch the people squirm and get all flustered. She heard a group of the girls go into a tizzy fit and walked away from them. Nope she did not want to deal with hyper girls just here to find a guy. That was just too much trouble and would be giving her ah headache if she was stuck with them. Oh no she walked away from them fast and to the room that had been made up for her. She bowed again and looked at the luxurious room and smiled. Now this was perfect and she walked around it. But she was bored and walked out of the room again. Maybe she could walk around the gardens. Meera looked for someone who could lead her to the garden and she could spend her time waiting for the part to star there.Yoku Yoko Moko It's fine don'r worry. Bowser put on his crown and one of the Koopa's fused over how it was fitting between his two horns. He growled lightly and the koopa scurried off. He looked at himself in the mirror, a monster some would say, but sensitive inside. He huffed and smoke left his nostrils. He'd rather be a true monster anyday than be a wuss who let someone else take over his kingdom. He looked outside at the sun, still a good hour before dinner was to be served so he decided to take a stroll through the gardens.
He left through a secret compartment behind his mirror as he didn't want to run into the guests too early and scurried down the staircase. The stairs led directly into the gardens. Rows and rows of hedges leading in maze like structures. It was easy for one to get lost in here, but Bowser had spent many childhood hours running around and now had it completely down. He smiled and started his walk in silence.

Lady Meera looked up at the clear sky and smiled it was so pretty. She then looked around at all of the flowers that were here. She really loved flowers and stopped every now and then to smell the flowers and they did smell really good. The soft petals brushed her cheeks and she grinned as it tickled a bit. Her feet continued to lead her through the garden and she wasn't really paying any attention to where she was going. It was just such a lovely day and she wanted to enjoy it. She knew there was still time before dinner and the party started so she wondered deeper into the garden. She walked through a thing of hedges and didn't realize this place was like a maze. Lady Meera just kept walking around and looking at all of the flowers here. They really were amazing and she just wanted to stay here forever and get to see all the different flowers here.
She sat down and she was lost but she didn't know it yet since she was enjoying being in the garden so much. This place was just so magical maybe she would skip the party to stay out here in the garden. But that might not be a good idea she did need to mingle and all that fun stuff and besides there was no one out here to flirt with.

He walked over the gravel, a soft 'crunch crunch' accompanying his footsteps and his only betrayal that he was out here. He breathed in the afternoon air. Fresh and sweet. Hits of springtime dancing across it. He continued on into the maze and headed for a small wishing pool. Inside the pool was a set of two koi -- one a dark red meant to represent his father. His passions. One white to represent his mother -- one of purity and grace. He often spent time watching the fish circle each other growing up losing his thoughts in the ripples they created. When he felt lost of needed solace now he would come out to this pool, his parents long gone but the fish still here.
As he walked through the entrance something out of place caught his eye. He turned his head and saw a noodle sitting on the bench just spacing out there. A female noodle none the less. "Ah!" He gave a slightly startled yelp that someone was this far out here and in his sanctuary none-the-less. "What are you doing out here? Why are you not in the castle!" He roared at her, still keeping his voice down though, but all around him the world went silent.vampireluver123 Think of him like Beast from Beauty and the Beast. : P

Lady Meera was sitting happily on a bench and just looked out at the garden. It really was amazing. She wondered if the king who ruled here liked gardens or just had had parents who liked gardens. Whatever the reason she was really happy to see how pretty it all looked. She really did love flowers and gardens there was just something so nice and calming about them. She smiled to herself as she looked around and then watched the sky for a while just daydreaming and being happy. She heard something that sounded like footsteps but maybe it was just an animal so she paid no attention to it. Lady Meera felt so happy and free out here but she turned when she hears someone calling to her. Whoever this person was they looked mad. But that startled yelp had been so cute and she smiled at the guy sweetly to try and sooth him. She frowned as he asked her what she was doing and out of the castle. He had an impressive roar and she stood up slowly.
"Well cutie I am out here because I wanted to get some fresh air and my feet took me out here. I got board of being in the castle and so I decided to take stroll out here. What are you doing out here handsome sir?' She smiled coquettishly at him and bat her long lashes. She was curious as to what he was doing out here and why he was so angry.

His eyebrows knit together in confusion as she smiled back at him followed by a frown. Then she addressed him and his eyebrows shot up even further and he was tempted to take a step backward. But he was the King and would not cower away from some woman, she also didn't seem to know who he was. Looking back at the pool of water he watched the fish circle around and around. He gulped down the wad in his throat and turned back towards her, attempting a smile but instead having it come out in a grimace.
"I also seeked quiet away from the castle." He hesitated for a moment before continuing. "Are you enjoying the gardens?" He glanced down at her a bit sideways in nervousness.

Lady Meera frowned softly as his eye brows knit together. He would look very handsome if he smiled but it seemed he didn't do that often. Such a pity. She giggled at the look of surprise in the way she addressed him. Seemed no many addressed him like that. She got up slowly and walked closer to him so he wouldn't need to roar. She watched the fish swim round and round too. How sad to be trapped like that with nowhere to go but around and around in circles. But when he tried to smile and smiled back sweetly.
"Not used to smiling are you cutie? I hope you try more often. And why do you seek quiet? I'd think a handsome guy like you would love being out there and getting to be adored by all the ladies." She saw his hesitation and even his nervous side long glance. "Why yes I am. They are spectacular. I want to explore them more but fear I will get lost and never be found again." She teased him a bit.

His eyes widened at her question and then he let them drift downward for a moment, showing a small bit of sadness before rinsing it from his face. "I do not often find occasions for... smiling." He frowned and stared up at her, straight into her bright pink eyes this time. Her turquoise markings were lovely and her eyes were complemented by her bright lipstick. He blushed lightly and covered it with a cough looking away again. "The ladies are nice I guess. They can wait for me to arrive since it took them so long to arrive in the first place." He huffed out, puffing out his chest.
He couldn't help letting a small laugh fall under his chest at her jesting. "If you would allow me I would -- enjoy -- accompanying you through the gardens." He offered her his arm.

Her mouth tilted down as she saw the sad look on his face. She felt terrible for making him look like that. "I'm sorry I made you upset. I hope to be able to make you smile twice as many times as I have made you frown. And I hope you have many more occasions to smile. A ball is always a good occasion for smiling and of course making a handsome guy smile." She stared right back into his red eyes. She didn't flinch or look away from his direct gaze. She tilted her head as an odd looked passed over his face but he hid it too fast for her to be able to tell what it was. She giggled. "Well for some of us this place is a very far place to travel. So you really should cut us some slack." She teased him more. She giggled at how puffed up he was. It was just adorable.
She beamed when he laughed. It was a very nice sound. She'd have to get him to laugh more. Her eyes brightened at the request. "Oh yes I would love that. Either you know your way around and we won't get lost or I'll have a big strong man with me when I do get lost. Either way I get good company." She took his offered arm.

She was sweet, truly sweet and honest. Her eyes and her expressions did not hide anything. She did not seem to have ulterior motives and she still did not know who he was. He couldn't help as he felt his mouth make a little twitch towards a smile, the pull at the corner of his mouth. Then she teased him and pointed out the logic that many of the ladies did in fact travel far. He bowed to her. "Let me apologize for my rudeness and be the first to thank you for traveling so far." He hesitated before continuing. "I'm a little... rough on the edges but I mean no harm." He rose from his bow to look at her again.
He smiled as she described him as good company. She was pretty, intelligent, and funny. One of the great combinations of a lady. Many of the ladies in the court were arrogant, money seeking, social climbers. They were narcissistic and would only talk about others if it improved themselves. As they walked and thought about this, and how he must compliment her more to entice her to stay. Flattery was in fact the best form of showing you liked someone, right? "Of course your own beauty outshines that of this garden." He smiled at her as the afternoon sun began to drift into evening. Soon the Koopas would be flailing about trying to find him for dinner, but they could wait.

He was so handsome but he seemed to be a little sad. Meera hoped she could make him smile more. He had a lovely smile even if it looked like he hadn't shown it for a long while. She giggled as he stared to smile and hoped he would continue the smile it seemed like it would be a good one. She shrugged when he spoke and curtsied to him. "No need to thank me I doubt I came the farthest and a ball is always a lot of fun. And I know you mean no harm. Nothing wrong with being rough. Diamonds are rough to start out with and everyone loves those."
She looked around the garden as they walked unsure of what to say and not wanting to intrude on his thoughts. She let her eye wonder as the sun began to set. As his word cut in to her thoughts she flushed scarlet and ducked her head a bit. "Uh.... Well sir I do believe you are much smoother than you claim to be. Thank you but I don't think I can hold a candle up to the beauty of this garden. I don't compare to the butterflies that were flitting around it earlier but I do thank you for your sweet words." She was so embarrassed it was just too sweet and she had no idea what she was thinking. Or what he was thinking.
