Surrounding the City of Crows and leading off the The Vale is the land known as the Cold Moor. Shallow hills and declines in the land where gathered rainwater slurps with grass and mud, is where you will find many of the timid yet vile beasts of the Land of Crows. Often misty, even during the day, adventurers may find the odd abandoned shack or two from centuries or decades ago. Caves, here, are likely, many used by small beasts, others used by smaller Fallen tribes. But further towards the Vale you may find a cave or two, or a crevice, in dedication to the servants of Luceal, the few surviving worshippers that have found themselves unknowingly transformed into slaves of Lucifial. These cultists are malevolent and think the truth is dark and sinister. Sometimes, traversing the Cold Moor is less sinister, and more tranquil, when the beasts are resting and the cultists have been shunned, for a small amount of time.

The first few days travelling the road north through the Cold Moor was... uneventful. The caravan of merchants Team Sun had agreed to assist were a group of Therians eager to bring their valuables to the City of Crows. Micha'el was astounded to discover that the Therians had brought over some beasts of their own from Ardinas in Otherearth. The Great Ardinian Buffalow was a species similar to the water buffalo of Non-magic Earth's Europe. However these were much sturdier and thickly built, with horns much thicker and longer, which extended out to each side like sweeping wings. The fur, so thick almost looked like thick, leathery skin in places. They were accustomed to traversing the islands of the Therian's second home, and were no stranger to the swamps nearby too. They were ideal for bringing back to Therias during repopulation. Lottie adored them, finding a good excuse to fuss them whenever possible, even though they stood taller than she did. At least ducking beneath their sweeping horns wasn't too difficult for her. Micha'el had almost embarrassed himself at one point by just assuming that Therians did more of the heavy work themselves. In fact, many of them chose not to be in their bestial form all the time. It could be quite 50.50, except most Therians that were battle-ready usually remained as a werewolf for... obvious reasons. There were five buffalos in total, 3 with smaller carts each, small only by their standards, and 2 sharing a much larger one which the merchants all used for storage and sleeping at night. Team Sun was allowed to rest in one of the smaller carts at the back of the caravan at night. By all accounts, these Therians were kind and happy to have them... the Daywalker on the other hand was less sociable. He was leading the caravan proudly, with no cart of his own and only a Harrowsteed, an extremely large horse, with fur as jet black as the night and eyes that reflected red when they caught the right light. It too had thick fur, thick enough to prevent some blades Micha'el imagined. It had sharp, jagged teeth, and was obviously carnivorous. It had a jagged horn, as if carved from obsidian, protruding from its head and had horn-like features growing from its legs, skull, and spine. It was heavily clad in the regalia of the Conclave of Declasia, with its daywalker rider sat atop it the majority of the day that they travelled. However, for a man so quiet and stubborn, Micha'el assumed he would be selfish. But every night Micha'el noted how the daywalker would stay up alongside one of the team. He remained silent, isolated from the group and would be found leaning against a tree or his Harrowsteed. Whenever he rested, it was for short periods of time. He must care about their safety to some extend, and he didn't even have his own cart or sleeping arrangements. Micha'el hadn't attempted to speak with him yet.

Tonight was like the others, the sky was clear, and he could see the stars shining through a split of the fancy cart's fabric roof. The cart was sturdy and well-put together, realtively comfortable if Micha'el had to admit. The roof was a canopy, where a triangle slit could be pulled open by the pull of a rope. Lottie was asleep beside him, and Tsuna was on watch for the time-being. Team Sun was ordered to only have small night shifts tonight by the daywalker, he insisted they be well rested now that they're deeper into the wilderness. Micha'el and Tsuna agreed Lottie could sleep the night without disruption. Micha'el had finished his couple of hours already, but was still laying back, watching the stairs on his bedroll. The rollings moors outside were refreshing, he quite liked the wilderness here. Just hills, few trees, and a lot of shrubland. Lottie had told them the land here was quite similar to that of some parts of England. He took in the site of the stars again, taking in a deep breath, thankful that the caravan didn't move at night. He had tried to sleep now for some time, but his mind wouldn't rest. He couldn't help but wonder... were the stars brighter tonight? Was it that one, just to the left that seemed to shimmer slightly when he looked away from it? The Aria suggested stars were something greater, but never explained how. It seemed trivial, like some kind of respect for the stars rather than anything of any real substance. But, when he stared too long, he swore that they stared back. Stupid he thought, why would the stars be watching? They'd get to see how terrible he was at being able to properly defend Lottie. No he thought, you're doing the best you can, don't be unreasonable to yourself he reminded himself. But his mind continued to think without his permission. His worries speaking more loudly when he was alone. But what if Tsuna gets herself in trouble without telling us... what if we're not quick enough to find her - what if Lottie tries to find something too big in order to find her and- Micha'el paused his thoughts, staring deeply into one of the stars as he thought what if she uses Willow Morta's power again? Micha'el swallowed, gritting his teeth. "No" he whispered, I will be strong for her, I can't lose her.

Tsuna Miki

Micha'el didn't attempt to challenge her and instead let bygones be bygones moving on. Together they feasted on the cuisine Tsuna purchased with Malika's stolen funds and then went into the city searching for intel. As suspected, nothing turned up because of Southmarch's old infrastructure being built a new trade was a main priority. However, the demon birds pledging trade caravans was increasing so the team decided to take a side job as bodyguards for some travelers. They would go through Cold Moor in order to get to the Land of Crows and so far the first leg of the journey had been uneventful. The group of Therians they assisted were thrilled to bring their valuable beasts from Ardinas in Otherearth to the Land of Crows. The Great Ardinian Buffalow looked similar to water buffalow of Non-magic Earth, but had more prominent features. They were sturdier, had a thicker girth with thick elongated horns that swept out past their ears, and a tight fur hide that had the appearance of leathery skin. The beast were able to travel long distances considering the terrain of their homeland making them accustomed to the swamps nearby as well. Repopulation in Therias was sure to be successful with these beasts and Lottie seemed enamored by them. She would playfully glide under the towering beasts tusks when she could keeping herself mildly entertained through the long walk. Micha'el and her noticed that these Therians liked to maintain their human form some of the time. Most Therians were trained to be battle ready and dawned their beastial form permanently ready for a war. All together there were five buffalos, three pulling three smaller carts, and two hauling a larger cart for the merchant's storage and sleeping quarters. Team Sun was offered a smaller cart in the back for rest which the Therians happily obliged enjoying their company. The Daywalker on the other hand, keep to himself and hardly socialized.

He lead the caravan proudly on top of his Harrowsteed with thick jet black fur and piercing red eyes that reflected in the light. The fur could have counted for a suit of armor as it looked thick enough to stop a blade. The horse had sharp teeth making it carnivorous and horns-like appendages that looked like they were carved from obsidian protruded out of its skull, legs, and spine. The Harrowsteed was covered in the regalia of the Conclave of Declasia with the Daywalker positioned on top of the steed through most of the day. At night though, reguardless of how stoic and non-confrontational he seemed, he stayed by each of the team members sides as they guarded the party. Tsuna found his demeanor so compelling and cool that was eager to talk to him. Like Micha'el, she hadn't gotten up the courage yet but decided the next night they stop she would. At night, Micha'el and Tsuna agreed to let Lottie sleep without disruption and besides, Tsuna didn't think she was particularly fond of the Daywalker anyway. Tsuna had slept for a bit in the caravan they were given until Micha'el shook her awake for her shift. She excitingly arose and waved Micha'el goodbye as she snuggled up against Lottie. The skies were clear tonight that she could see outside of the fabric slit covering the roof of the caravan which meant it was the prefect night to talk to the Daywalker. As unfriendly as he seemed, he did care for the safety of his crew insisting that the team be well rested since they were dwelling deeper into the wilderness. He just had to be a cool guy or else all of Tsuna hopes and ambitions about him will be dashed!

Like every night before, he stood by a tree with his Harrowsteed at his side looking out into the hilled, shurblands. Tsuna took in a deep breath and approached him stopping not far behind him. She had a million things she wanted to ask him, but instead embarrassingly blurted out, "What's the steed's name?" 'Real smooth, Tsuna.' She thought to herself annoyed, her cheeks fluster and her ears drooped realizing how corny and childish she sounded.

The daywalker was leaning back against the trunk of a thick tree, as usual, atop a rolling hill. His harrowsteed was silently, ominously standing beside him. It never faltered, never rested. Lottie had previously remarked how it often appeared to be a dark statue guarding it's supernatural territory. As Tsuna approached, twilight reflected from the fine metallic art on the skin of his face. The harrowsteed whipped its tail only once when it sensed Tsuna approaching. Her question made him open his sapphire eyes, which slowly moved from the grassy hill before him and up towards his harrowsteed. The silence stretched out awkwardly until he finally said "Kafele" (pronounced k-ah-F-EH-l-eh). His voice was mature, wise, but slightly rough. As if perhaps it had once been silken in youth. Kafele grunted quietly and slowly turned its head to face Tsuna over it's shoulder. "It means 'would die for' from my family's homeland."

Micha'el felt Lottie moved beside him on her bedroll, hand flying out to slap him on the chest mid-thought. He let out a grunt of annoyance as he flinched, only to find her still asleep. He began to move her hand and couldn't help but notice the warmth of her skin before he let go again. Leaning back again, he looked up to the stars. "How can I protect them?" he asked quietly, "how can be stronger?" He begged the stars for an answer, and as if they could hear him one of them pulsed lighter for a moment. He could have chuckled, even if you could help... you're a a galaxy away..

Tsuna Miki

The steed sensed her movement when she came up behind alerting its rider of interaction. The Daywalker tilted his head up slightly towards his companion, the moonlight reflecting off carved obsidian skin. His sapphire eyes glowed in a supernatural way that made it appear more mysterious as he took his time to speak. The silence was deafening, but when he did speak his voice sounded wise with a hint of a rough texture. Kafele was the steed's name and it meant 'would die for' which made Tsuna more envious of the Daywalker. The horse acknowledged her briefly by looking over its shoulder, its red eyes starting into her blue ones. "That's cool!" Tsuna blurted out like a gitty fangirl before correcting herself, "I mean, mysterious..." She responded trying to sound smooth and impressive. She walked out the giant animal over to the tree next to the Daywalker and started to lean against it like he was. She missed the truck though and almost fell over before quickly catching herself and laughing nervously to hide her embarrassment. 'Nice going Tsuna! Now he'll think you're a total dork!" She screamed at herself internally as she tried to regain her composure. She stared out letting the red fluster in her cheeks fade a bit before striking up another conversation, "And uh...your name?" She choked out eyeing him from the side.

Tsuna approached the daywalker, moving around his watching harrowsteed with a sliver of coolness to her step. He didn't give her any reaction to her comments about Kafele, but he did allow her to move in loser to him. The girl moved to lean against the tree also, a move which he wasn't too fond of. As she slipped, his blue eye glanced in her direction, disappointed that she caught herself. As she asked her next question his eyes blinked as he stared ahead of himself again. "Horakhty" he said, momentarily breaking the silence. He leaned his head back a little more so it touched the tree behind him, choosing to speak again, "I care not your name - but you expect me to ask it. You are?" Horakhty waited patiently for her to respond, no emotion passing over his face at all.

Micha'el gave up trying to sleep and instead turned to his Aria. He'd propped himself up against some crates and opened the tome across his huddled knees. He began turning pages, coming finally to the chapter he was recently trying to decipher. Once, the symbols meant nothing to him, but he could draw out its power. Then he began to understand the flow of each line. Now he could recognise words, some of them instructions he thought, or rules. After some time of staring at the pages, his eyes finally fell heavy as sleep took hold.

"And you are supposed to be one of them?" he asked, eyes glancing only momentarily at Tsuna's tail before returning to the hills ahead. Kafele let out a heavy sigh. "And yet, you are as much a stranger to them, as they are to their own homeland." Horakhty suggested the Therians were foreign to this land, noting how Tsuna was foreign to them. He did not quite understand - Therians moved as a pack, a very large one. A giant family, so-to-speak. And yet she was not one of them, at least not fully from what he could see. Half-breed? Defective? Sick? He wasn't sure. He also seemed to be suggested that the Therians didn't know their own land as well as they should. Therias, after all, had been under Declasia's rule for centuries until she gave it back to the Therians recently.

Tsuna Miki

He provided his name begrudgingly which sound cool coming from his lips as she repeated it softly. He leaned his head against the tree as Tsuna awaited eagerly for him to ask the same formalities back. As if conversation drained him, he ultimately asked for her name to which she happily stuck out her hand and announced, "Tsuna Miki!" After realizing her boisterous outburst again she quickly took back her hand placing both of them behind her back. 'You dunce! Of course he doesn't want to shake your hand!' Tsuna bit her lip and back away a bit as her ears drooped once more. At this moment, she was jealous of Lottie. She made friends so effortlessly, and Micha'el was so charming all the time that people just flocked to him naturally.

All the questions she wanted to ask drew a blank when Horakhty assumed that she was supposed to be a Therian. She glanced up meeting his gaze momentarily before he turned his attention back to the nothingness. Her half form made her foreign to her own kind, just as they were too their homeland. Therians had large families and always traveled in packs, while she was alone and had become complacent with her team. As for their homeland, it was recently turned to them by Declasia, and all the time being under someone else's thumb has made them forget the past. Tsuna felt ashamed as she looked down at her human hands, however, her shadow held the shape of human and beast. No one had really brought her form into question for such a long time that she was beginning to forget how different she appeared. Down in the Playground, people envied her verity and saw her value instead of considering her a defect off the bat.

"My father told me a story when I was little. A tale of a hero that stole from a tyrant in order to heal his sick wife and save his daughter. He failed, the mother ended up dying and the father was punished by a cursed placed upon his daughter. She had to live her life as human and animal causing the hero eternal regret and anguish. It wasn't until I was older that the story he told was really about me and him. I never believed him, always asked for him to tell the truth, but was met with vague answers." She paused as she looked up at the moon longingly. "I've never transformed...I don't know why...and I never will..." Tears prickled from the sides of her eyes before she quickly wiped them away as she looked back at Horakhty with a small smile. "You remind me of him." She thought it would be best to walk away since she already embarrassed herself enough.

As Tsuna went on to describe her story, Horakhty barely gave a reaction. His blue eyes that gave off a dull glow looked ahead. He looked from the thick grasses to the rocky hills, to the shrubby trees and back again to Kafele. She explained the story of a dying mother, a thieving father, and a punished daughter. He put two and two together much faster than she ever did, evidentially. He had to admit though, there was some story to tell for this girl, Tsuna Miki. Finally, as Tsuna began to move away, something timid and fragile in the tone of her voice, she had to tell him he reminded her of her father. "You're a fool to think I am like him" Horakhty said, squinting slightly as he too looked towards the moon. "And" he said, taking in a breath, perhaps ready to say something reassuring. But then something else caught his eye over her shoulder, to which he suddenly stiffened. "You have a job to do."

Ahead, among the heath, barely lit with twilight, there was movement. "MOVE!" Horakhty shouted, diving out of the way as a log came shooting out of the heath ahead. As they both evaded the log came crashing into the tree they had just been leaning against. Kafele instinctively dashed to Horakhty's side, getting down to seat briefly so that he could grab on from his place on the ground and be swiftly taken away to safety. Then the monster became visible. It was a giant, crab-like horror seemingly made from wood and shrubbery. It it had two bent back legs, causing its body to hunch over. It had a large, stretched face as if its mouth was wide open mid-scream. Bark was jagged and mimicked a cavernous maw in which any victims could be torn to shreds. The wood on its face writhed and was contorted into some kind of shape that mimicked two oddly placed eye sockets. It had two upper limbs, which it now used to push its torso up to look somewhat more human. It didn't stand straight and still cowered slightly, as if it couldn't stretch. It then brought up its arm, flinging a large piece of earth and bush as it pounced forwards in an attempt to get closer to Tsuna.

Tsuna Miki

Clearly, her comment had insulted him when she meant for it to be sincere. Could she really do nothing right expect cause trouble and be a nuisance? Sighing hopelessly, she didn't bother explaining herself fearing she would make things worse before he began to reply once more. She sensed the threated as soon as he did, her ears straightened and she tail puffed out in defense as she stared in the same direction Horakhty did. In the darkness of the heath, barely visible by twilight, movement could see seen heading straight for them. Obeying his command, Tsuna dodged the log that had been huddled at them. It collided into the tree they had been leaning against startling Horakhty's steed causing it to around over to its rider and duck just enough for the Daywalker to swiftly jump on. A wooden, shrubbery covered crab like creature emerged. It's back legs were bent like a frogs and its face stretched into a mid-scream. Jagged bark took the place of teeth and the texture of wood on its face was distorted placing the eye sockets where they shouldn't be. It stood, but not completely erect due to its mishappened form and raising its arm it flung more debris their way. As the two were distracted dodging, the creature pounced forward in an attempt to her closer to her.

Tsuna flipped backwards to create some distance as the creature slammed down where she was previously standing. She wasn't far from Horakhty and assuming the position he was in with his horse, he was probably going to take off. Fine! She could handle this creature by herself! She gave him a glance and without realizing it her eyes were glowing red like that time she lashed out in Solomon's office. Her transformation was going to happen and she had no idea what was in store. She didn't have Lottie's cuteness or Micha'el's charm to win people over. No. What she had was strength and right now she was giving Horakhty a look like, 'Watch me! I'm going to prove you wrong!"

Without waiting, she forged on ahead grabbing her weapon letting it unfold in her hand. Approaching the monster, she changed the head of her hammer to an axe and swung at one of its arms. Wood splintered off the monster leaving a decent sized gash, but not enough damage to make it waver. It slammed its other arm down almost on top of her like it was trying to smash an insect only for her to avoid it as the last minute. She rolled towards the creature's belly and heated up the tip of her axe head as she held it up ready to carve the underside.

Horakhty vanished from sight after Tsuna crossed her fiery gaze at him, leaving her alone to fighting the wooden monster all alone. However, fate appeared to be on her side as her weapon was made with chopping in mind. She rushed the creature head-on, attacking with her axe. It was caught on its barked arm, which splintered and groan as chips flew away. It then swung its other arm to try and squash her - missing by inches as she jumped away again.

Micha'el awoke to the sound of something crashing nearby - jolting him into an upright position. "What?" he murmured, scratching his head when he heard a second crash close by. His eyes widened as he shoved Lottie awake. "Lottie, wake up!" he commanded, looking around for his glasses in a rush. "What?!" she shouted in defence. That was when Kafele galloped up to the front of the cart, where the fabrics split to make an entrance. Horakhty was sat atop, sapphire eyes looking down at them with a mean expression. "Your teammate needs you, now! A treant horror assails us!"

Tsuna rolled beneath the mosnter, raising her heated axe head above her and taking a swing beneath its underside. Her attack landed, cutting through bark with ease as the heated tip scorched the flesh and cut deeper than last time. The monster shrieked this time, like some kind of banshee burning at the stake. It leaped to the side, coming to a skidding stop within a nearby heath, crouching, and vanishing into all the shrubs. The darkness made it difficult to discern exactly where it was, the only hint being the swaying bushes. It then leaped straight towards her, gaining air before coming down with its arm extended. When it landed, the monster was frustrated to find its prey had dodged once again. However, this time it reacted faster. It anticipated her next move and swung round, hoping to strike her and knock her away like some dummy. Then, it changed it's focus, knowing Tsuna's weapon would cause it too much harm. It creeked and groan, suddenly looking towards the caravan of carts and Ardinian Bison. Horakhty was rounding up the therians, shouting commands at them to take cover behind him. The monster pounced as quickly as a great cat, but was caught mid-air and slammed down to the ground as white chains of ethereal magic pulled it down to the ground. Micha'el appeared some distance between the others and Tsuna, with Lottie dashing in out of nowhere to strike several times with her glaive across the creature's legs whilst it was momentarily down. It swung its arm out to try and catch her, but luckily missed as she came to a skidding stop beside Tsuna. "You okay?" she asked, readying her stance as the chains Micha'el summoned were quickly broken. He attempted to summon more but as quickly as they connected the monster broke them. "It's strong!" Mcicha'el warned, "I can't keep it down!".

Tsuna Miki

As expected Horakhty left her to her own devices which she knew he had to warn of the party of the threat. Though, she had a feeling she'd take down this monster before anyone gets hurt. Shrilling like a banshee from the heat of her blade, the creature leaped sideways skidding to a stop within the heath. It crouched into the darkness of the shrubbery and was difficult to locate until the bushes swayed. It leaped out towards her bringing its arms down with more force. Tsuna jump aside, but it seemed to predict her moments and attempted to knock her down. Placing the pole of her hammer in front of her as a shield, she took the brunt of its attack skidding back through the dirt. The strain was a bit painful but not enough to ware her down. Once she was flung away, the monster was about to assault again only to turn its attention to the carts and Ardianian Bison. Before Tsuna could stop it, the creature leapt towards the caravan like a giant feline ready to crush the scrambling party. In a flash, chains of ethereal magic captured the monster bringing it to the ground with a slam. Micha'el pinned the monster while Lottie dashed out of the shadows striking it with her glaives. It tried desperately to swat her too, but she dodged acrobatically landing next to Tsuna. She asked if she was alright and Tsuna simply nodded not breaking her stance. The chains that Micha'el conjured weren't able to restrain the creature and began to break as it writhed.

Tsuna's piercing red eyes looked to Lottie as she commanded, "Lottie, stairs now! I got this." In mid-sentence her voice changed sounding deeper and a bit more demonic. She didn't realize it ignoring Lottie's confused expression as she urged her ahead. "Now!" Once stairs were made with Lottie's glaives, Tsuna climbed upwards gaining momentum at an astonishing rate. After ascending the last glaive, she launched herself into the night sky high above the trapped creature. Behind, the moon was disappearing and a lunar eclipse was occurring darkening the land below. A red ring encircled the moon and in the center of it all Tsuna was transforming mid-air. Her body contorted and stretched elongating bone structure like her ankles, torso, and face. Pitch black fur sprouted where skin should be and claws protruded from her fingers and toes. She suit and jacket was torn and rip, but still clung to her frame because her form wasn't as large as some other Therians.

Her sharp tooth jaw clinched in a devilish smile as she came down upon the creature swing her axe downward. In a clean cut, she severed one of the monsters arms off and it toppled over by the carts. The weight stook the earth nearby giving the carts a little bounce and rocking. She landed in front of Micha'el and replied, "Let go! I'm going to send this thing flying!" As the chains shattered and the creature whaled, Tsuna switched her axe to a hammer and wand it back. She treated the creature like it was the size of a mere baseball and jumped up slamming the hammer in its chest. Wood splintered and cracked as the monster was sent flying backwards far into the heath. Tsuna didn't stand around though, she took off after it leaving everyone in the dust. Her transformation has made her stronger, faster, and capable of many other things that she didn't have access to in her half form. The creature collided into the earth writhing as it struggled to get its footing. Tsuna wouldn't allow it to regain itself as she jumped onto the monster's chest like a flea running up to the spot she had already damaged. Holding her hammer up high, she brought down a barrage of attacks pounding in the crater she had already made. Each time the crater increased and the creature became more restless, she smiled. It appeared she took pleasure from the destruction she caused, but she true motive was more innocent. She couldn't believe she had transformed, under a lunar eclipse of all things! She was just so impressed with herself and thought that Horahkty would have to acknowledge her now with all this power. Sadly though, she didn't know her own strength and didn't realize how dangerous she could be as a newly transformed Therian.

Lottie did as Tsuna asked, commanding her spectral glaives to form out of nothingness and arrange themselves into steps leading high up above their foe. Micha'el struggled to keep summoning chain after chain just as quickly as they were broken. The two of them watched in awe as Tsuna leaped from the last blade and became silhouetted by a sudden lunar eclipse. In the moment, an aura of darkness, like smoke, licked at her skin as she transformed into a werewolf. Her form grew, muscles spasmed and her face gnarled. Her skin turned to black fur, and her clothes stretched and tore.

When she landed she took one of the monster's limbs with it. It let out a shrill scream from its wooden skull as Tsuna told Micha'el to let go. Astonished, eyes wide, he simply stopped casting without a word. Lottie let out a cheer of excitement from behind as Tsuna struck at the monster against, sending it flying. She followed suit, just as Lottie made her way over to Micha'el. "She did it!" Lottie said, holding her glaive ready to assist. Micha'el simply stared ahead, unsure of what to make of the situation. He stared on as Tsuna let out her brute force, coming down on the monster's chest harder and harder, again and again and again. His chest puffed slightly as he saw a glimmer of enjoyment in Tsuna's long snout as she continued to beat it. The earth around her shook, the crater grew and strike after strike the monster become increasingly limp. Bark was flying around her, splintering out until she could see dirt through it's chest. "She's so strong!" Lottie said, lowering her glaive. Micha'el clenched his jaw, eyes glossing. He wasn't sure how to react yet.

"Go Tsuna!" Lottie yelled again, "you finally transformed!"

Tsuna Miki

Tsuna's swings lessened in intensity when the crater finally became a hole giving her something more to swing at. The creature was dead and the miracle eclipse was subsiding. Getting down from the wooden corpse, Tsuna set out of the darkness of the heath and into the emerging moonlight. The moon was no longer eclipsed and her transformation from beast to girl had begone. She shrunk back down to size, bones reconfiguring themselves back into their original place. Fur receded back into her skin and her red hair spouted back again. She suit and jacket were torn up, but luckily covered most of her body expect for shoes and gloves which had been completely shredded. Her ears and tail still remained even after her transformation so she wondered if she could even do it again. So many jumbled thoughts streamed through her mind, but one thought trumped all of them. What will her teammates think of her now, and Horakhty, did she even impress him? The red from her eyes faded as she walked over to her team feeling wiped out. She never had anyone to ask about Therian transforms and what the effects were after the first cycle. She felt almost drained when she finally made it to her team.

Lottie was supportive while Micha'el stared unsure how what to say, although, if the situation was reversed she would probably act the same way as him. She smirked before looking at Horakhty and replied with as much sass as she could. "Did you see that!? Didn't even break a sweat..." Mid sentence she felt completely zapped of energy and collapsed to the ground in front of her teammates unconscious.

Micha'el wouldn't let it show, but he was secretly relieved to see Tsuna's werewolf form fade away. He saw how her clothes were torn and muscles still tense, with a smirk on her face - aimed at Horakhty as he approached from behind. Lottie high-fived her teammate, who was speaking to the daywalker. He didn't seem to want to reply, just as well as Tsuna collapsed from exhaustion straight after speaking.

Some time passed, it was midday the following day and Lottie was by Tsuna's side in the smaller cart at the back. Last night, after she collapsed, Lottie and Micha'el quickly got her to her bedroll. Horakhty said nothing of note to either of them, besides noting they should leave this place the moment sunlight broke through the night. Did you see how powerful she was?! Lottie had said when they placed her down. Micha'el had nodded and went along with the discussion, describing how he was impressed she finally managed to transform. Lottie asked if he thought she was hurt, or just tired. From his guess she was mostly exhausted, he'd seen her take a beating before, and this wasn't half as bad as sometimes. But he didn't know what kind of effect a Therian transformation would have on the body.

Micha'el thought back on these moments as he walked with the travelling caravan at the mid-point. He ran over the conversations he had had with the Therian traders this morning. They were glad to have had a fellow therian fighter defending them. He had asked them what transformation was like on the human body and thanks to Tsuna's bravery - they were excited to ask any curious questions he had. Tsuna was most definitely exhausted, that much was confirmed. They also noted how sometimes young therians would act like 10 angry children in one. Tsuna had kept her wits about her, he thought, but one thing he noticed was just how... heightened her passion for the fight was. He remembered each strike with her hammer on the monster's chest. One, two, three. Four, five, six. Seven, eight, nine. Ten? Eleven? He had lost count. He wasn't sure he recognised his best friend during that fight. He felt scared. He still felt it in his chest, a similar feeling to when Lottie would let her weapon, Willow Morta, possess her. He shook the thought, watching the larger cart ahead being pulled by the two bison. Horakhty was leading as always, sat upon Kafele. He looked out across the moors, even in the midday sun, the fog never retreated. He could see his breath in the air too. "I will be stronger" he whispered to himself, holding his arm in his hand, squeezing it as a form of comfort to control his anxiety. "I will protect them both, so they don't need to-"
"The Cold Moor is unforgiving" Horakhty said, suddenly beside him on his steed. Kafele grunted as it trotted slowly. Micha'el jumped, turning suddenly. "I'm sorry - i'm keeping watch"
"I can tell" Horakhty said, "you are distant. I cannot afford to have the last defender of this caravan to be somewhere other than with us." Micha'el gritted his teeth, nodding as he took in a breath. He looked up at the daywalker who's name he still hadn't learned, "I apologise, sir, I didn't sleep last night." He didn't mention struggling to sleep even before the attack. Horakhty made a noise, but Micha'el couldn't tell if he understood or was simply irritated. "How far through our journey are we?" Micha'el asked. "Almost half way, the Cold Moor is one of the largest regions of our lands."
"What brought you to Southmarch?" Micha'el pressed on, to which Horakhty looked down at him from the corner of his blue eye. "My master's politics, boy. I imagine it is far above you. Now in the same fashion that your teammate attempted to contrive a conversation, I pass the same question to you. Why are you seeking passage to the City of Crows?" Micha'el felt his chest tighten slightly at the question. What was this feeling? He moved his hand to squeeze his arm again, he did not know exactly what this weight was but he didn't like it. He took a breath and looked nonchalant as he said "our headmaster wanted us to gain experience on the field. We were originally in Therias to help its people and gain valuable training we couldn't get in the wilderness back home. When we saw this mission, we thought it was right to take, and that way we could visit the city at the same time."

Tsuna Miki

Tsuna's dream was something that she never thought she'd get to experience again. In the darkness she came upon a cozy campfire and sitting down in front of it was a gruff, burly man with red hair. Even from behind, Tsuna recognized his hunched over posture and quietly sat next to him. Although he was dead, she still remembered his smell of pine needles and cooked delicacies from his travels. She didn't have to look at him because everything about him was committed to her memory. "I didn't think I'd see you here...Dad." His title of authority figure rolled off her lips so naturally as if he had never left. "I knew you could do it." He replied proudly referring to her Therian transformation. "I wish you would have told me. Then I wouldn't have had so much of a struggle." Tsuna bent her knees up to her chest and hugged them close waiting for him to respond. "Life's a struggle, Little Warrior. I know you have the ability to adapt and grow faster and stronger than I did. Soon, you'll no longer need me." Tsuna perked up shocked and looked up at the side of his defined bearded chin and prominent cheek bone. "I'll always need you...I want you here now...I could never forget you." She stood up and hugged it and the embrace felt so real. She felt like she could feel his grip around her as he said softly, "But I have to leave you. You've grown and no longer need me. What you need is your friends and to continue standing strong as you always have." Tsuna smiled as a single tear left her eye and she pulled back seeing her father was no longer there. She was standing alone in front of the fire that was now burning out. "I won't leave them. I promise...Dad." At that moment, she opened her eyes with a start and sat up from her bedroll in the cart.

Her red hair was frizzy and complete mess around her as she looked around dazed trying to connect the dots. After she fainted...she ended up here in the cart they were given for lounging. Lottie and Micha'el had to have brought her here because she couldn't imagine Horakhty being that kind. Micha'el wasn't around, but Lottie was right next to her watching her like a hawk. She had to confirm last nights events and hoped that Lottie would fill in the blanks. "I was talking to Horakhty. Then that monster attacked, "She paused looking down at her bare hands and ripped suit, "I transformed...and then..." When Lottie told her, she cringed and slapped her forward grunting frustrated. "Are you serious! He's going to think I'm totally lame now!" Her tail patted impatiently as she stood up and hopped off the of the moving caravan regardless if Lottie tried to stop her or not. Running bare feet up the fogging road, she looked for Horakhty only to find him on top of his horse next to Micha'el. She picked up her pace and rounded to the front of them holding out her hands signaling for them to stop. When they did, through heaving breathes, she began to scold Horakhty. "You can't...ignore me anymore! I...I showed you up and defeated that monster! You have to admit how cool i was!" She looked at Micha'el for reassurance not even thinking about what last night did to him mentally. She would never imagine that she'd scare her teammates in a different form. "Right!? I hammered a hole in its chest! Wasn't that cool!?"
