This is a PRP between 'Swirly's Baldev and my Guinevere Adelaide Baldev really was quite disinterested with where he was. Why did he need to be away from his Jaslyn? They had just returned from attempting to find their children. So far they had not met with any success but the bitter cold of winter had driven them back to their teepees. Jaslyn had gotten a bit stir crazy and she left for about a week to go on her own little journey. Baldev had protested as vehemently as possible because soon they would be going out on their own to find their daughters again but he had obviously lost that argument. Actually, when push came to shove he would have to admit that most of the time he lost any sort of argument tha the tried to fight for or against. She had his heart strapped firmly to her body and Baldev scowled at nothing because his heart was out on an adventure.

Guinevere Adelaide disliked being out on her own so much. Usually, she had Alotima, her father's bear familiar with her. Well, it wasn't so much that she had her there. It was more her father's request that someone be with his little princess. She laughed at the thought. That poor little bear had seen well more than her share of mischief, and the thought made her giggle and long for the companionship. However, the bear wasn't quite as spry as it used to be, and she tended to stay home on cold nights. Unlike most familiars, this particular bear chose to hibernate like her kin, the larger, less civilized bears. Guin scoffed at the idea. Sleeping for four whole months?! No way. After wandering for quite some time, she noticed something. Was that... Another Soquili? And a stallion no less? She raised her brow and looked him over. He appeared to be well beyond her years, but she figured he may be good to strike up a conversation with. As she approached, she made another observation: he was a unicorn, too! And it looked as if he may be pure. But the again, so did she. "Um... Hello, there?"

Baldev would have bristled with rage and then nagged at the mare for thinking of him as being so advanced in years. He was really aging quite well, and his own vanity made him refuse to accept anything besides a youthful appearance. Luckily, the mare had not said that to him so his manner was just as relaxed as ever and he tossed his head and smiled, "Hello, how are you doing?" Oh how smooth he was, how very smooth. All well, it's not like he really had any business even attempting 'smooth' Baldev was feeling quite amused with himself on this day, "How are you indeed?" to reiterate.

Guin smiled at the friendliness of the stallion. She had worried that perhaps he was grumpy and would be upset by her intrusion. "I'm very well, thank you. I'm sorry if I'm bothering you. I've been out for a while and you're the first face I've seen in days!" She made sure to exaggerate the last word, wanting him to understand her horror. Nobody had ever left her alone for so long. It seemed strange, and was not very welcome.

Baldev was not upset at all that the mare had come along to keep him company, in fact he was enjoying meeting her. It was obvious that the mare had at least some good blood in her lines to have the lovely horn on her head, lion's tail, and cloven hooves. Although he had begun to make changes to be sure to quit being such a narrow-minded sort of person old habits were very hard to get rid of and it was all Baldev would or could do to make sure all he did was take a cursory summary of whether or not another being had visible unicorn traits. He no longer allowed himself to decide what sort of person the other one was based on their breed. Of course, it couldn't be helped what he thought on the inside. Smiling at the mare, "Well then it's well and good that we should meet, perhaps we're traveling in the same direction?"

Guin scrunched her nose a bit at the question. "Well, you see... That's the thing. I don't exactly know where I am. I think I may have come from that direction originally?" She used her tail to point to her left. "But that tree over there looks kind of familiar." Once again she used her tail to gesture, only this time to her right. "Do you know where we are in relation to the lake northeast of the Kawani Village? Or is it northwest? Oh dear..." The unicorn had never traveled alone before now. She always had her father or her familiar hobbling along not far behind, grunting or grumbling when she took a wrong turn. "Oh, I'm sorry. Where are we, do you know?" A pale pink began to emanate from her normally white cheeks, making her frustration even more apparent to the older, and likely wiser, unicorn. "Please forgive me, I've never been this way before, I don't think."

Baldev almost wanted to groan because he had absolutely no idea himself where he was. It was a pain the butt to travel without his mate, he really didn't know what direction was what and where he was supposed to be most of the time. He grinned sheepishly and bobbed his head, letting his heavy fall of silver hair shimmy and sway forward. "Well yanno, when push comes to shove it's easy to just head in whatever direction looks the prettiest. Besides that I don't have a clue where I'm supposed to go, I end up wandering until my mate finds me, so no worries."

The unicorn looked at her new found acquaintance with a bit of worry. How could he not know where he was? He seemed to be considerably older, and you'd think that one would pick up a thing or two over time. "Oh." She tried not to look overly panicked. "Well, where do you think would be the best way to go, then?" The pink blush on her cheeks slowly turned into a deep red, and her tail twitched uneasily. Oh, how embarrassing! Lost in the woods with no help, nobody she knew, and not a single clue of where to find either of those things. "I mean, worst case scenario, we find someone who will know how to get there, right?"

Baldev, never one to be bothered by appearing ignorant, looked around their surroundings without much of a worry or care. "I would think so, what is the point in getting riled up when someone is bound to come along and be a native to this particular area. I myself would must prefer to be home right now..." He looked a bit vexed and shook his head, the heavy fall of silver curls bouncing around to exaggerate the motion. "At least at this point in time we both have company while we figure out just where to go and when." A few moment of pondering had Baldev stepping forward with a sense of purpose and a smile upon his face. When it came down to it his two-legger kept him completely sheltered from the real world and his mate had not made him have to deal anymore. If only the mare knew.

Guinevere Adelaide smiled a little bit at the stallion's sense of ease, feeling less worried about her current predicament. At least now, hopefully, her father wouldn't have to come out and find her like he always did. This time, she would find her way back with the help of this wonderfully friendly, and what she saw as being experienced, stallion. Her smile only broadened with his words, and she nodded. "Yes, I suppose you are right. But sometimes, the 'natives' aren't too awfully friendly. I've met some pretty grumpy Soquili out on one of my little adventures." She frowned a little bit at the thought, but followed the other unicorn closely. There was no way she was getting separated from her new guide!

Baldev had not even considered that there was a possibility of someone being less than friendly with them. He was not sued to being spoken to with anything besides a bit of a reverence or perhaps the joking affection of his mate.... He blinked just a little bit and frowned fiercely. "None shall dare to speak to us in any manner that is less than respectful. I won't tolerate it." His spine of steel showed for a moment before his carefree grin came again, "Now then... shall we head in whatever direction looks to be the prettiest? Might as well enjoy the scenery."

Her eyes widened a little at the stallion's sudden seriousness, but it helped her to relax. Darn right they wouldn't dare! She had a big, no-nonsense guide now! He wouldn't let anybody be rude or talk down to her, or eat her, no sir! Guin's smile turned into a grin as she began to walk in a prancing manner, a whole new confidence and air of contentedness about her. She looked at the stallion and nodded briefly, a cheery voice emerging from the previously timid mare. "I think that sounds like a good idea! Worst that could happen is we get lost somewhere pretty, and then we could just find our way out again!" She nodded again, her head held high and her ears perked up. It appeared as if a possibly dangerous situation had begun to turn into quite the adventure!
