This is a PRP between 'Swirly's Brightrayne and my Caraway What a fabulous night, how truly magnificent the night sky was. Brightrayne stood and stared up at the sky with a hoof propped up. He really had no idea what he was doing in this strange land, and he felt really.... lost. He missed his home, he missed his family, and most importantly he missed the pretty mare that he had had a crush on. Why had he never bothered to tell her how he felt? Now he was here in this new land staring up at the pretty sky and not feeling unhappy but definitely just not quite as happy as he should be. It must be the definition of bittersweet... Bittersweet. Alone and staring up at the nightsky, thinking of a lady that she should have told he liked but now separated so it wouldn't do him any good now to have said something. If she had felt the same she would probably heartbroken now.

The air was damp, but refreshing. The spring sky was cloudless and dazzling, the way it should be. The stars shone more brightly than he had ever remembered seeing before, and it made the stallion smile. The tranquility of it was truly amazing. Caraway sighed, wishing only to have somebody here with him to share the mesmerizing view atop his own little hill. Here, the grass seemed sweeter, the air seemed fresher, and the stars seemed like diamonds in the night sky. If only he'd found this place sooner, when he was young and new. He thought much about his life lately, and about how little he'd done with it. It was an unsettling thought, but not unnecessary. Caraway sighed before turning his attention back to his glorious view. He wondered about the stars, and what they were made of. In his head, he'd always imagined them as little spirits, gone to the sky to watch over everybody. This was his favorite way to relax, and to speak to those he'd lost.

Bright knew that he was going to be alone for a long time in this place because he really didn't try to get to know anybody. It was his own fault. Having always felt like he was the duck out of water in regards to knowing people and making friends, Bright really doubted that there was any chance of change here. As if the skies were trying to mock him, he looked and saw a stallion not too far away at all and cleared his throat hesitantly, "It's a nice night out here, eh? Would you like some company?" Hopefully the other had not come here to be alone.

Caraway was shaken out of his trance like state by the words of the other stallion. He certainly didn't expect the company, but he didn't mind it either. "Yes, it is wonderful out here. It seems like there aren't very nights like this around here anymore." He was put off a little by the offer of company, but nodded. "Sure, company is always nice. Out here it's kind of lonely sometimes." He smiled politely at the other stallion. "My name is Caraway. I'm sorry if I've invaded your space or anything... This just looked like a good place to be on a night like tonight."
