Schorl was a strong woman, he'd come to realize. When they first encountered each other, she was near death and last he'd heard, she'd climbed the ranks and become a powerful and respected Captain. Carnelian found himself quite proud of her, however inappropriate that feeling might have been. While they did not run in the same circles, he would bow to her order more readily than those from, say, Bischofite or someone equally as insane and/or bloodthirsty. Some corrupted senshi were bothered by the fact that they were expected to bend to the whims of their Negaverse superiors. On the whole, it didn't usually bother Carnelian. He wasn't much of a leader anyway. It did come as a surprise to see a text from Schorl one evening while he was out (half-assed) patrolling. When was the last mission you were even on? You're supposed to do more than cut hair, Red. You're going to come cut your teeth a bit.He liked Schorl, he really did. With a sigh, Carnelian admitted internally that he was terrible at fighting and a coward to boot. Part of him was terrified to let Schorl down and the other was terrified that, someday, Euclase would be in danger and he would be too weak to protect her. Considering his options for a few moments, the corrupted senshi decided it was better to confront his fear than to run away like a ninny. He felt a Captain's signature in the distance and followed it. "...she wouldn't kill me." he told himself aloud. "...would she?"

Schörl waited at an overpass construction site. Since the road itself did not connect to a second half yet, there wasn't traffic near yet and wouldn't be for another two years. The gathering of cranes, dozers, backhoes, piles of rebar and bags of substrate were useful for lessons in maneuvering and using one's environment. As it was she passed the time using a piece of steel as a staff, going through forms while balancing on the lined jersey barrier. She paused when she felt the secondary aura appear and looked around for his approach, "Well, at least you're prompt." And looking just as delicious as ever. "Well...someone's upped their game a bit. I like I haven't seen you at the parties either. You'll have to show me the new duds. Piece. By. Piece. " "I'll miss that thigh-boot though. Pity." The Captain smiled, tossing the steel bar over to him and summoning her Knout. "Here's the game. You try to hit me- tai chi specializes in deflection, so it won't be easy. I will try to take your uniform. That's how long you have to score a two hits....lose too much and you'll either unpower or it'll all reappear on you I expect. " "Will you play?"

Carnelian looked down at himself, back up at the Captain and shrugged. He tugged at bits and pieces of his uniform. "Slowly, but... it has to happen sometime, right? Statistically-speaking." He certainly didn't feel as though he earned it but for whatever reason, the universe thought otherwise and bestowed power to him regardless. He never did understand it. He chuckled at the boot comment. Tapping his heel against the pavement, Carnelian stood contrapposto with his hands on his hips. "Really? These are more comfortable, I think. Sorry Captain but I can't roll them back up for you, even if I wanted to." The redhead was about to chuckle again when he sputtered, a piece of steel bar being tossed at him. Carnelian struggled to catch it, flailing this way and that as if juggling the damned thing before it came to rest in his hands. He breathed a momentary sigh of relief. "You're much better than I am at this. I'm more of a distance kind of guy and..." Schorl's order came as a surprise to the super - attack her? Sure, it was an order, but rebar? Carnelian cringed at the thought of assaulting a lady - any lady - Captain or no. The terms of the arrangement were intriguing, however he questioned several things: would Euclase approve of possibly being stripped by a superior officer? And would he even have the skill to land one hit, let alone two? Carnelian gulped. "If I want to be a better fighter and be more useful to you, I have to play. Still... no flash photography, please. I have a fiancee to think of, you know." Sure, he could teleport behind her and try to bean her in the arm or something, but Schorl was experienced. Schorl was fast. Carnelian felt like a failure before he even started. Still, he gave it his best shot and ran at her as fast as he could muster, trying to swing the bar upward from a downward position, aiming for her right side.

Schörl raised an eyebrow at his fumbling at the very first with the rebar. "The environment provides as much advantage as training or magic, Red. Use anything and everything. The winner of a battle isn't who was most honorable, its who is still standing." As he got to business, she stepped in the same direction of his motion, but sideways in an arc so that his aim remained good but she stayed just out of reach of the business end of the steel. She countered from her new position, wheeling her knout at his back. The largest portions of his uniform was the jacket and pants, so their structural integrity needed to be compromised and her aim before she had a chance of really tearing them off.

Carnelian expected to be at least a smidge successful and was surprised when he missed with his attack in its entirety. Feeling sudden pressure on his back, the corrupted senshi was sent reeling. Falling the floor by the sudden loss of balance, Carnelian scraped against the concrete on his stomach. Coughing, he stood slowly and realized the force had torn off some of the buttons on his jacket. The environment. Use anything and everything. Determined to be at least as good as Euclase or Schorl expected of him, the redhead bent over to pick up the rebar he'd dropped and try again. Taking in a breath, the senshi charged his Captain... and suddenly disappeared. At Super rank, he'd learned to teleport. It took a great deal of energy but he wanted to prove he could do it. Reappearing in a blink behind Schorl, Carnelian swung the rebar again, hoping to at least tap her with it.

Schörl squinched her nose, half-smiling and half-snarling when he vanished. There was enough time for her brain to process the thought of the half hemisphere above ground around herself that was the possibility of attack angles. The rebar hit, throwing her forward and a little sideways with a thick, metal-on-body sound. It took the breath away, pain sharp with living nerves before they drowned in a blossom of broken blood vessels that would bruise black later on. Her voice came as a coughed croak, "That's one." But behind was too predictable- well, even if she hadn't herself predicted it. Credit where credit is due. It is a game changer to be able to teleport. Lets switch it up though. She turned on her heel and teleported herself- but not behind him or above him like a dropping lancer. Schörl appeared in front of him, in the loop of his arms holding the rebar and tried to grab for as much of his pants as would come free.

Carnelian smiled in satisfaction when rebar hit flesh, but only for a moment. First, he felt terrible about striking Schorl even if she'd asked him to do it and second, his victory was woefully short lived. She too could teleport, for the Negaverse was the master of the craft, and he whirled around, expecting her to appear behind him. When strong arms wrapped themselves around his waist and yanked at his pants, the redhead yelped. Since his pants were tucked into boots, they did not come off completely. Instead, the Captain was rewarded with Carnelian's undergarments, and those left very little to the imagination. Hopping away from her (for pants stuck around the knees did not help movement one bit!), the redhead stopped and leaned on a pillar to adjust his pants. He half-wondered if Euclase would enjoy this. Knowing her, she probably would. It gave him a few ideas. Sighing, for Schorl's attentions tore up the buttons that would hold his pants together, Carnelian hoped the distraction would allow him to get another shot in and win the game. He couldn't teleport again without risking exhaustion so instead, he attempted some parkour only his powered form would allow, jumping off a ledge above Schorl's head in an attempt to get that game-winning blow.

A peel of delight escaped Schörl at Carnelian's hopping, but there wasn't much for it if he didn't want to fall over and have to deal with the pants on his back. It was sad she hadn't tricked out the place Peter Parker style. An album with pictures like that would make for a nice bachlorette party. She took the time of his pant-fixing to ready herself on good footing, standing solid for when his next attack came. The maneuverability was goo to see- he'd worked plenty on balance and aerial aim. Hopefully not to beat a better retreat.Still, it was too much for to easily lead or deflect, so the captain backsprung out of the range. " So do you pick them or does Euclase?"

He grunted when his attack meant nothing but air, Carnelian gained his footing again but had to hop a few times to slow the momentum he's built up. His pants were loose about his hips and hid hardly anything and he was debating just taking them off at this point. The Captain's comment made him chuckle with mirth. "If it were up to me, I wouldn't wear anything at all but this damned uniform chafes... But I'll wear whatever Euclase wants, even thongs." He didn't care if she knew. Women had a way of getting information around anyway and Carnelian was never one to be embarrassed by his body. Charging her again, Carnelian tried to slide down at her ankles at the last possible moment. "And you, milady? What would you prefer?"

"A great many things chafe, but it didn't look like your entire wardrobe was satin harem pants. " I'll have to pick some up and send them over for Euclase to make you wear for her entertainment. Or maybe just silk sheets."A very proper response- she's got you better trained than most women ever manage. I'll have to trade notes with her. We can have study sessions." She'd readied to try to throw him on this approach, caught with too much emphasis of weight on her feet as he shifted to the slide. It took one leg clean out, forcing her to cartwheel to stay upright and out of battle danger, "That works as a two.... Good job. Being willing to get dirty like that and take the scrapes is excellent." "I prefer wondrous variety. All clothes are decoration- sometimes leather, sometimes lace. Nothing wrong with regimental. "

Carnelian chuckled again, brushing himself off as he got to his feet. "Milady, I'm sure you already know how dirty I'd be willing to get, should the situation call for it." And Euclase was already well aware of it, happily testing boundaries and experimenting with all matters of dress and flesh. The redhead was never one to complain about being the test subject, either. As a reward to the Captain willing to train him (and, he figured, was willing to let him win based on how well Schorl handled herself), the corrupted shimmied out of his jacket and wrapped it over his shoulders. "I'm sure you and Euclase would get along swimmingly. She's a fine lady, and I'm very blessed to have her." The training comment didn't go unnoticed either, and while he turned around, Carnelian dropped her a wink over his shoulder. "Trained well. You should see me in a collar sometime. Ask Euclase, she's got in on video." Nope, not a prude at all.

"I'll hold you to that suggestion. I'll bring her a new camera even." The captain bit the edge of her, admiring. Yes, a collar was a fine thought. this one was entirely too aware and full of himself. It was delightful. All the best arguments for an ego in one package. Or a package on a package. "Wine, beer, ale, or liquor?" "Which does she like to drink off that six pack? I'll bring some over for a ladies kiss and tell sometime. "

Carnelian chuckled, turning away from the Captain. "Wine, usually. But sometimes she'll mix up something hard when she's in the mood for it. She's a bartender - very skilled at making whatever you want." Now that he thought about it, Makayla would probably appreciate some feminine company sometime. "What are you doing this coming Friday, Captain? Maybe we could arrange a night in. Movies, I'll make dinner, Euclase can provide the drinks? I think it'd be fun. What do you say?" Ivynian I think we can wrap this up~?
