Tonight was uncharacteristically fruitful when it came to the sense of aura's about the city. Considering the weather was only recently warming, a late spring compared to the 'official' date of the astronomical March equinox, it was like as not that many of the players of the war were getting out into the better weather like shoppers to malls.

There is the chance of it being the fault of spring break- with everyone involved usually seeming to belong to high school or college. The Super Senshi of Gardens considered the nearest signatures he could feel and picked the strongest- and eternal- as the first he woudl seek out. He knew so few, and there was still work to do. If luck and statistics turned out in his favor, it wouldn't be Athene or Iris.

So he ran, making use of the speed and leaping prowess afforded by their magic to make a line closer to how-the-crow-flies to the feel of the greater aura and whoever projected it.

Kallichore had stopped for a rest during her patrol, standing atop an office building in downtown Destiny City. It was a law firm or something to do with accounting, no doubt, and the machines therein had gone silent hours before. The eternal reveled in the momentary peace, gazing up at the stars that hung in the ocean of the sky high above her. They had no advice for her, no sympathy, no emotion at all. They just were and while she couldn't just yet, Kallichore hoped to one day understand what Kurma was trying to say about the universe.

Her thoughts were cut short when she felt a super energy signature, White Moon and allied, very quickly approaching her. Since no emergency message went out over the cellphones, Kallichore couldn't assume. When the blonde super arrived on the scene, the eternal did not recognize him. He was quite a bit taller than her 5'9" and was easy on the eyes to boot. Lifting grey brows, she walked towards him slowly, taking in the details of his fuku. Grass? Trees? Plants? She could only guess.

"...Yes? Is something wrong?"

Having ricocheted up to the roof where he found the eternal, he paused to take her in- not what he'd expected. The tatters were an odd effect, but plainly deliberate in their number and placement- it wasn't damage of battle but the fuku itself.

"Only that I do not know you. I felt your aura, and wondered if it was one I was familiar with or not. There are so many of us, and yet we each know but a fraction of the rest...if any at all. A situation I oft seek to remedy."

"My name is Thraen. May I have the pleasure of yours?" He offered out his hand, leaving it to be her choice to shake or not.

Kallichore slowly smiled. Thraen was very smart, very deliberate. She was a senshi who could appreciate those traits in spades. Extending her hand, she shook his firmly, for she was quite grateful to meet him. "Kallichore, Senshi of Madness. It's a pleasure, Thraen. I'm sad we couldn't have met sooner."

She nodded to herself. "Ours is a broken faction, sadly. Some of us unite, but all under different banners. I hope one day that can change. The one time the White Moon united under blood for a militaristic cause, it ended in tragedy." Turning away for a moment, Kallichore raked a hand through her charcoal hair and sighed. "I'm relieved to know there are still senshi out there actively trying to learn as much as they can. This isn't a television show, it's a war. We lose too many to corruption and death because of ignorance or treachery."

Turning back to Thraen, she smiled again. "Have you been awakened long, Thraen? In the grand scheme of things, my tenure has been very short, but I'll do whatever I can to help you."

Thraen quirked, lifting an eyebrow when confronted by her name and words. There was something familiar of the airs, of the sound of the syllables and style. But he was certain he hadn't met her before. Before he answered her query, he pulled his phone out and thumbed through the interface, looking at his meager contacts- not there as he suspected. Where then?

I am Eternal Sailor Kallichore, and this is my gift to you.

"The Primer."

The document that had more or less made sure he hadn't been completely blind when ********* had left him. He'd never known who, where, or how to go about phoning 'kallichore' from the primer's willingness. But here was the owner of that name. "No...I haven't been a senshi long. A year in February."

He found himself as something of an impasse- like meeting an author at a book signing. It felt stupid to say much that was in his mind, or to say that the primer needed updated as well as a critique. Like as not she's been in this as long as Maia.

"You wrote the primer." Well, you're sounding very intelligent so far, 'Quincy.'

"I...didn't think that anyone who did anything useful would actually still be alive. I never expected to meet you."

She was surprised for a moment before nodding. "...yes, I'm glad it's still somewhat useful. Ash is going to help me get it updated."

Kallichore took a few steps towards Thraen, admiring the details of his fuku. "A year is still a long time, considering. And you're still whole." She resisted the urge to touch his chest, the spot where his starseed would have been exposed had Chaos gotten to him. "It's been three years for me. I've seen quite a bit but there's still no end in sight for the war. Not yet."

Finding the correct solution to the problem has been... difficult.

She clasped her hands together in front of her. "Are you acting alone, or are you part of a Court?"

"I've met Ash, " The grey feline's name was so far a welcome one. "She seemed very new. But eager. It does need updating, as a go to and mentor when there isn't one. "

When she stepped nearer he didn't flinch, though his pupils shifted for more light, more aware and on alert that someone came nearer than bowing distance. "Whole, but not unmarked. I've heard from Irene that teams, if that is what you mean by 'court', make it easier. "

"I've heard of the Asteroids that are *********. The Jovians. Not really any concrete evidence of others. Though I've seen more of the enemy that of senshi or knights, really. "

"Alone from the first, I am likely to stay that way until I am overwhelmed. " He shifted, jaw tensing at the offhand of 'no end.' Not with current politics, no. But maybe plenty else has been tried before. "Three years is a long time. Are you a part of a team?"

"I'm glad you've met Ash as well. I only met her that one time, but she agreed to help me augment and redistribute the primer with more information, and possibly make it accessible and editable to Guardian Cats. She's more tech-savvy than I."

Kallichore nodded curtly and frowned when the words not unmarked came into the discussion. They all had their scars but each time she heard it from someone else, it seemed like they didn't deserve it. Many were just children. "Yes, team or Court, they're pretty much the same thing." she started, turning slightly to pace slowly back and forth before Thraen. "Iris is the Princess of the Asteroids, and ********* is their cat. I'm part of the Jovians, and before that, the Blood Moon. When I first awakened, I was alone as well. Some people work better that way."

She thought in silence for a moment, then continued. "...I find it alarming that we see more Chaos agents than each other. I'd like to come up with a way for this to be rectified. The more scattered we are, the more individuals are killed or worse - corrupted. It makes me sick to see people I once knew wearing black and not remembering who they were." The eternal shook her head and finished her pacing, standing before the taller blonde again. "I certainly admire your strength and steadfastness, Thraen. You shouldn't try to join a team if you don't want to. But if you'd ever want company..." Kallichore placed her hand on her chest. "I'd be happy to oblige."

"Iris." He spat the name to the side.

"Princess in name only, though maybe power be borne to her arms she is ill use of it to the will of the universe. If that is the best there is to offer- trite, bullheaded and proud without gift of reason or diction, then the sorry state of the 'White Moon' is not so great a mystery."

"And she not the first. I know plenty of these senshi who as soon turn on their own instead of do what must be to stem the tide. Or would, like Iris and Athene, would rather count themselves accessory to murderers and let the populace pay the price in lives and energy rather than sully their perfect fingers. As long as they don't know the dead, what do they care? These are the heroes we must count on."

" Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam.* "

But she spoke of membership with the Jovians, and that was a surprise unexpected. It was enough to urge fire rechained, and he rolled his shoulders to loosen the tension and knots gathered there. His tone evened, detached, "I've spoken with Babylon and Valhalla. It didn't seem a close knit team, and one where they didn't seem certain how to find everyone to meet them all. "

"They were both kind. I think I confused Valhalla."

"I was proposing to both that as much as the teams do not agree all together, or the senshi are fractious, a welfare support and rotation of patrols for new senshi, like a Blackwatch, should be something no one found offensive. "

Peacemakers can at least coddle better their chicks.

The outburst probably would have come as a shock to someone who supported the Princess of Rainbows, but Kallichore herself was neutral on the matter. She didn't know Iris personally and only saw her a handful of times in battle. She seemed capable enough, summoning a rainbow that seemed to heal some and burn others. She did agree with the bullheadedness and the lack of diction - Iris didn't prove herself a font of knowledge at the last meeting they'd attended.

"You'll receive no argument from me, Thraen. Iris certainly isn't what I would want in royalty. How they receive that power is beyond me." Brown eyes were cast upwards, to the stars. Surely they would know the answer, because didn't the power come from them? "What's more is that the royals seem to know very little about the war and can offer little guidance, if any. It's why I don't tend to look towards them for anything more than one massive attack during a battle, if they happen to be around."

Hands on her hips, Kallichore turned away from Thraen for a moment, not understanding his... was it Latin? The mention of Babylon and Valhalla didn't go unnoticed. "...the Jovians could use work as well. I'd say it's a loose alliance at best for the time being but from what I can tell, we're trying to restructure. For what it's worth." Not that she needed to defend the Court to Thraen - his opinion was his own.

She nodded in time with his proposal. "Absolutely. A support system would be extremely helpful, especially for those abandoned by the cats. Some, like Iris, have a Guardian at all times. The vast majority aren't so lucky. How do you propose to go about setting up a Blackwatch?" Now she was very interested.

There are ways to get around looking to a monarch for guidance and expecting that to be knowledge. Statecraft requires wisdom, clever wit, strength of character and of arm..but statecraft is also stagecraft. It is being there. It many of it's oldest forms, chieftains were just the greatest warriors. The ones that kept their place were those who could also create a community through providing protection and stabilizing commerce. Surrounding themselves and patronizing people and projects that benefited and enriched.

She doesn't need a history lesson on Monarchy as a form of government, or the character of a monarch.

But her next comment was interesting. "From them The stars? All of them? Or do you refer to the fact that we bear names of our worlds? Our power...ostensibly then comes from that world?"

That she hadn't heard any of the idea so far was a visible disappointment, " I take it neither of those knights have successfully managed to contact any amount of their team then."

"The actual start up of it is a difficult conuncrum. As I said, I'm fairly new, and don't know the extent of technology. But the first step in anything is getting the word out- so I talked to the what Jovians I could find. I talked to Irene. Getting together a representative at least of the teams willing to speak for them at a meeting. The Mauvians have a headquarters, apparently. A pool of funds could be safely kept there. We all have these phones, and the cats as well. The Primer goes on all of them, so why not an alert as soon as a phone is made by a cat? The alert signals out to senshi, and whoever is assigned to the Blackwatch for that given night would be responsible for answering it and seeking them. "

"The Watch itself would have to be a rotation. Like monarchies of old, it was required that the nobility give or pay so much in time or gold a year- each team tithes its members so many nights each month so that at least two people of any combined independent or team are specifically on the watch. They make house calls, collected dues to the pool to give to the needy, check on other order signatures, stay alert for the cats awakening any new senshi to take under wing for a mentorship."

"The period of mentorship would need to be established. The alert system modification. Talking to the cats if they could please stop just awakening people willy nilly and make sure they take the person to the watch. How to handle days that there may just not be enough people to watch on. Or what happens if someone cannot do their patrol. Or refuses."

"We must police our own some how. People complain of boundaries, yet it is boundaries that they crave. Rules make a community and let people understand how to thrive. It just takes getting used to it. And in this case- it isn't for a cause that hurts anyone, and the punishments could be as simple as that team or person owes a double fee or due to the pool. Something that would benefit in the end, but be unpleasant to remain a punishment."

"Maybe....just maybe, starting so small....after getting people used to working together in that sort of capacity they would feel enough of a community of senshi then to start seriously working together as a Court and not tribes and loners. They need some sort of groundwork and example, or they'll always tear each other apart like teenagers with a limelight. "

Kallichore shook her head in the negative. "Like I said, we all could really use some work. As for notifying all senshi, the phone system would work best for big announcements. You could even have a rotating roster programmed in with announcements going out once a week, if my faith in the cats is correct. I'm sure Ash or Horatio or any of the other cats would be more than happy to assist with this."

The tithing of members made sense - Thraen had given the operation much thought, which was commendable to say the very least. "I know I'd happily volunteer my time to helping newbies. I thought the Primer would be the first step to this, but it needs updating. So many things keep happening that need to be recorded... But at least it's something for those we can't see personally."

She started her pace again, mumbling to herself, nodding along. "I think one of the reasons Chaos seems to be winning is organization. Some teams or senshi prefer to work alone, or there's too many politics or drama or disagreements. Were you awakened for the meeting that turned into an ambush by Chaos? My god, I've never seen so much bickering and so much cluelessness stuffed into one room before." And so much death soon after. How many did they lose to Chaos before the ghostly Moon Queen showed up and whisked them all away?

"A meeting on the Moon would be best. Several people can ferry newbies as needed and it's completely safe from Chaos. That would be an excellent place."

"I only know Ash and *********. There are others that you know? Talking with them to find out what is possible sounds like a good step."

The note about organization was absolutely true- there was no glue at all to the forces of Order. It didn't even have to require the loners and teams all to work together, but their was a void where even the simplest community awareness or identity- such as a Blackwatch- should be.

"I don't think I was. Or if I was, I wasn't present at the happening. I've only heard whispers of it, I don't know the full tale. That or the founding of the Dark Mirror...I've heard it said that they were once a team of Order senshi. What points were the most fractious, that caused the meeting to dissolve into uselessness?

I have a moon pearl, and would be glad to ferry others if we could arrange a larger meeting. If nothing else, an arranged meeting could be an excuse for even that small task- handing out Moon Pearl charms from the cats to senshi and get them access to the haven and site. Maybe organize something distinctly non-political. I've been working with Aquarius when able on a real archeology and linguistics effort. Volunteers and a schedule of rotations for hours, efforts and equipment to the Moon Ruins and other planets with surviving structures might shed light on forgotten magics, defenses, offenses, or knowledge of our enemies. And the Blackwatch. Nothing actually political need be brought up. "

"It might not even be worth the political until these things get underway to establish a sense of identity as senshi." He watched her pace, quirking, "Would you be willing to help arrange it, Kallichore? You at least, maybe the Jovians? Valhalla and Babylon both seemed in favor for peaceful endeavors. Many hands makes for a light load."

That or the founding of the Dark Mirror...I've heard it said that they were once a team of Order senshi...

Kallichore was quiet for a moment, debating whether to tell Thraen the whole story or to simply give him a condensed version. She rocked back and forth slowly on her heels while staring off into the distance. "...yes, they were formed from a group of White Moon senshi and called themselves the Blood Moon Court. Ares used to be its leader until she corrupted and became the Queen of the Dark Mirror Court."

The rest of his information plainly displayed a great deal of planning and forethought - traits she admired in her fellow soldiers a great deal. "...I think this would be a great boon to the White Moon. Whatever history we can learn from the past will help us in the present. Ash can help us transmit the information to as many phones as possible once we agree on everything. The Jovians have two cats to assist - Horatio and Tomlin. I would be more than willing to arrange anything needed to get this off the ground. It's about time someone else took some initiative - the cosmos knows we need it."

She went quiet, planning a few things in her head for a moment. She nodded after a short time. "I'll see if I can arrange a meeting with the Jovians and a few others I know, get as many involved as possible. If we're going to be a united front, the sooner, the better."

The distance of her manner in the brief explanation of the Blood Moon Court gave the impression of pains from closer dealing with the whole. She said she was a part of them before the Jovians. There's no use pressing for the information off the cuff. She didn't offer it initially, given the opportunity. Maybe later on. A corrupted Queen. What is the difference in the ascensions of power that she became a queen and not a princess like 'Iris' or 'Polaris'?

"The sooner the better. Thank you...for being willing to help. Two cats and your team is a lot, and whoever else you can contact. I can message Ash and ********* from my end, and the independent senshi that I know. We'd be up to four cats with just that many, and I've heard of a Sheena and Pippin. Six cats... at least one team in the Jovians if they agree. I can try to get a hold of Irene as well, and maybe her team will show. If we can get the cats to agree to the advantages of the Blackwatch, and make use of bringing them along on searches for new senshi, then maybe the chances of it getting off the ground are bettered. "

"When do you think you could call a meeting? Could I message you in a few days and we could share progress on getting a hold of people? If we can get all six cats, we could split it into twos for three 'beam up' locations of pearl holders to ferry comers to the ruins."
