AND I AM THE REASON (reason)
THAT I WILL STAY ALLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!
The theme song and chorus kicked in for The Energy by Audiovent, and pyro exploded on the stage before Rik Rip'em came running down to the ring. The crowd got on their feet and cheered for the intense former US Marine! Sporting a US Flag as a cape as a special attire for the PPV!
Announcer: Introducing first, weighing 255 pounds, from the Good Ole USA! RIK RIP'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEM!
Rik slid into the ring, and got in the middle of the ring and slammed his fist down, facing the camera. He stood right back up letting out a big "OOH RAHH!" some fans responding back with the same thing, before he started looking at the stage, flexing his muscles and taking deep breaths. Once again he had a test in front of him, being the experienced Salem Croft.

Salem stepped out onto the main stage, no music to herald his arrival to the arena this time, opting instead to use his microphone to address the ecstatic audience who'd gathered to see this exciting match between the former Asylum Champion and a rookie on the rise in Rik. Though the crowd made matters more difficult to address, what with the way they stood and cheered when Salem stepped out from behind the curtain, it didn't stop the "Most Wanted Man in Wrestling" from staring down his opponent from the stage, talking over his beloved audience to address Rik in the ring.
"...And introducing next." Salem said smoothly, starting down the ramp in the black, buckled pants and wrapped wrists that formed his traditional ring gear. Building up steam as he made his way down the ramp, Croft reached out and slapped hands with those along the barricade, continuing to stare and speak at Rik during his approach to ringside.
"...Weighing in at two-hundred fifteen pounds...he is the former reigning Asylum Champion, the man who will be leaving tonight, victorious...the current reigning Rookie of the Year...the "M.W. Deuce", the "Most Wanted Man in Wrestling", and your favorite son, Salem Croft!"
Thrusting the mic up after speaking his own name, Salem soaked in the warm reception that was there for his chance at redemption, briefly glancing around the arena before drawing the microphone back down to his lips.
"...and if you're not down with that," Salem said, looking up at Rik through the ropes from ringside while fishing in his pocket for something with his spare hand. Pulling out a pair of pennies, he showed them to Rik while the crowd provided a brief pop.
"...Then I've got two cents for ya!" he finished, dropping both the pennies and the mic to the floor before slipping underneath the bottom rope, springing up to his feet and sprinting across the ring to srart throwing wild rights at Rik before the bell had time to ring!

Rik Rip'em was so distracted by the play on words that he was too busy trying not to laugh, as Salem came in firing right hands at him! Rik was backed up to the ropes, and started to drop down and tried to throw right hands at his ribs to combat this fast start!

Salem was swiftly taking the fight to Rik, who'd been backed up into the ropes by his opening salvo! As his opponent hunched over to try and shield his head and get a better angle on Salem's ribs, the "M.W. Deuce" would quickly go to grab the lad's punching left and drag him off the ropes, hoping to launch him across the ring with a firm Irish Whip!

Rik was whipped towards the ropes, bouncing right off towards Salem.

Salem managed to jerk Rik from the ropes and heave him across the ring into the opposite set of cables, but the former Asylum Champion didn't stop there - instead, he ran right after Rik, looking to keep the pressure on him with a fierce forearm, extending it outward to try and decapitate his opponent with a hard clothesline right after he'd rebounded from the ropes!

Rik was caught once he bounced off the ropes, making the pain even worse as the whiplash was caused while he hit the mat. He rolled to his side and he held his neck, slowly getting up.

Rik's neck had been wounded from the hard clothesline, causing the crowd to pop for the exciting exchange between the two men thus far! But as the wounded warrior held his throat and went to his side, Salem stood and stalked his opponent, waiting until the lad sat up to come up from behind and lash one hand under Rik's occupied arm, and the other around his neck! Looking to lock his hands in place, Salem was attempting to wear down Rik's stamina reserves with a sleeper hold as they both went to their feet!

Rik was up, he felt the arms of Salem come around him, and knew he was looking for something to slow him down. So he had to do what a size advantage allowed him to do, and that is try to out power Salem, and try to out maneuver and go for a Snapmare to counter!

Salem was no stranger to working against bigger guys, but that didn't stop him from having to deal with Rik's obvious strength as the bigger man hooked the M.W. Deuce's head and heaved him over his own shoulder! Bridging his back, Salem managed to land with his feet on the mat to avoid being brought down to a seated position...not that he didn't intend to go there, as Croft wasted no time in hooking his own arm back just as Rik had done, trying to convert the reversal into a sit-out cutter attempt, instead!

Rik felt Salem's body flip over him, having the thought of him finally away from the offense. All of a sudden as he went to lift his head, he felt Salem wrap around his neck, and was brought down to his knees, getting dropped into the Cutter! Rik dropped to his face, as once again the neck area was targetted, holding it in pain.

As the crowd responded to the stunning reversal Salem had succeeded in delivering, the M.W. Deuce simply sat there next to the fallen Rik, taking a deep breath while thinking to himself just how close he'd come to being mauled by the brute just then. Clapping his hands together, though, Salem brought himself out of the moment of reflection and got back up to his feet, Slapping his leg a couple times before looking to drop it across Trent's neck with a leg drop while he was face-down in the canvas!

Rik was holding his neck as Salem was getting up. He heard the slaps and claps as he started to get to all fours, all of a sudden being forced back down with the Leg Drop to the back of the head! Rik's face bounced off the canvas, and he bounced to his back, his eyes watery because of his nose hitting the mat, and his neck hurting more as well!

Once again in a seated position on the mat, Salem studied his handiwork as Rik's face was plastered into the canvas, figuring now as good of a time as any to reach over and hook the lad's leg, leaning his weight into Rik's chest to add leverage for a pinning maneuver!
