The golden mare heaved a sigh. Between a mild winter and the great plains fire that had streaked through much of the realm, and then the flood on top of everything else, it was nice to have a pleasant day to just be. Aleera smiled, taking in the new push of vibrant green grass below. Grass that stretched and grew with her descent. She landed with speed and romped a ways, kicking up her heels.
Spring. Spring was good. Spring was life.
And she was undeniably happy and content in the sunshine with only a little bit of snow here and there, hiding the earth from view.
