What is the hardest part of alchemy for you? what do you love about alchemy? are you happy you started? are working on any backwings quest? how far are you?

For me, the hardest part of Alchemy is having to have patience. Patience to play the market, to keep trying formulas when they fail, to check and make sure the formula is possible to achieve before investing in it...ugh. So much patience needed... it's not my strong suit.
The part I love is the sense of accomplishment when I finish a formula, level up, or get a new set of wings. I'm working on the Devilish Quest and I've got one set left to obtain. These red body dyes are holding me back so far...XP And then the Rubyback and the Demonflies will trip me up...but I'm so close, I can't give up now!

I have caught 3 rare bugs in the towns and the only one I noticed was the demonfly, also got 1 whistler and 1 purple fly (only wondered why they weren't with the rest of the bugs, LOL), not even sure if I still have those two. Have been spending a lot of time in the towns hoping to see a Great Monarch and for the bugs. I give all the flowers, papers, and trash away to alchemists that can use it to help them, as I don't really need those items.

I don't want to go through this grief more than once, but after my semester ends I'm going to start a petition for the improvement of Towns, Fishing, Rally, and other Gaia areas. Included in that will be increasing the likelihood of rares, possibly being able to trade up for rare bugs, and making fishing in Durem a teeny bit easier... -_- Maybe if we can get the mods to agree to some of it, it'll make things easier for us alchemists. Not too easy, but seriously this is almost impossible! Uh...the only things I need immediately are those red body dyes. I have a decent store of gold, so buying most of the items isn't a problem, I just don't want to buy red inks enormously above ABP and inflate the price. sad Lucky on the bugs!

The hardest part for me is finding the right formulas to make and making sure I have enough gold to cover the crafting costs in case I fail.
What I love about it, is the challenge of leveling up to craft the better things, and the excitement of reaching the next level.
I'm more than happy that I started, I've met a lot of wonderful people through alchemy that I would have never met if I didn't start.
I'm working on two Back wings Quests at the moment, Fallen and Risen. So far I've got everything I need for the Medium wings for Fallen, and I am still gather what I need for the same thing for my Risen.

Is fishing really that hard? sweatdrop I haven't fished in ages, and the first time I fished in Durem I got quite a few nice buckets, (about half crabs and half useful fish) and the fish count has been going up lately.
Maybe it's just my stupid high learning curve.
I suppose the hardest part for me is getting the formulas. If I hadn't bought my Celestial Quest Inizo when I did, I think I just might have given up then and there.
That and my patience level... sure, I can fish in Durem, but I get mostly brown and black pebbos most of the time, not my coveted white ones.
I know, that's weird right? Someone complaining that they're getting the smaller fish for slates and not sands.
Mostly I just hate getting those blasted crabs.

I am also trying to get the Angelic rod, but can't fish that many buckets. The most I think I did at one time is 15 -18 and I think I did that once or twice. I try to do at least 5 or 10 buckets a day, I get bored fishing and the CAPTCHA OMG is that ever difficult now, can take me about up to 15 tries or more crying

I'll probably start Monday with 10 buckets, then the next day push it to 15, then the next day push it to 20, then so on.
