The sun was high in the sky, and Lux Flamma was soaking up the rays on the flat surface of a boulder. She enjoyed humid weather such as this. It made her scales warm and if she closed her eyes she could pretend she was on fire. Days like this reminded Lux of her mother and her long fiery mane and scales. She couldn't quite decide if the loathing she held for her mother outweighed the lovely feeling of the sun on her back. So these days were odd days for Lux. Her mind a constant swirl of hatred and joy fighting for dominance. She snorted and rolled over onto her side. She needed a distraction. ✹ ✹ ✹ It was too hot. Sugar had stomped away from her sister in a huff. Her blue hair stringy and sweaty and splayed across her damp pelt. Her eyes narrowed as she walked away from their current home site. She was growing restless. The last stallion to pass by had been pitifully weak. Sugar and her sister needed protection. The outside world held an unlimited amount of dangers, and Sugar wasn't strong physically. However, she was skilled in manipulation. Stallions bent at her will because she seemed so sweet, like her namesake. She had gotten into a screaming match with Candy Floss, her sister, and now she needed to cool off, both physically and emotionally. Sugar continued to stomp, eyeing her surroundings for some source of water. ✹ ✹ ✹ A glowing, yellow eye popped open. Either a herd of angry buffalo were passing through, or someone was angry and stomping her way. A grin stretched across her mouth and exposed her fangs. It seemed like a distraction was conveniently heading her way.
