Requirements: Must be in the Adept or Khehora Stages
Reward: Plain Cloths, Pearly Scales, Amber, Gold, or Copper Bars

The Prompt:

For whatever reason, you have found yourself on Ayr, deep inside one of the valleys carved by a thick and bubbling river. The ever present wind on Ayr is far above you, and only a faint breeze stirs the mist around you. Ahead of you, you hear a strange mixture of hisses and screeches.

Rounding the corner, you see before you a weird scene. An Ordon, with blood streaming from a head wound, is barely clinging to a rock int he middle of the raging river. On the banks of the river scamper about smaller Ordon, one's that have a youthful and unfinished look to them. A small simple and ungainly two wheeled wagon lies spilled on the ground behind them, a claw mark along the side showing it was attacked . On the opposite side, a large and powerful looking male Rajsha is pacing, carefully gauging the jump and seeing if it can make it. A wet and irritated looking smaller Rajsha is pulling itself out of the river.

What do you do?

Help the Ordons?

Help:

You decide to help the Ordons! You must first scare away the Rajsha! How you do this is up to you, but eventually they will leave.

Now you must swim or fly to the Ordon to keep him from drowning. If you have magic that can lift him (Guide of Levitation chapter 2 works, Aryalan magic that can lift him, Peisio magic to make the water bring him to you, Gaili magic to lift him out of the water on a platform, Ice to let you walk to him... that sort of thing. ) feel free to use it!
If you swim over there: the river's current is fast and you struggling to stay on course with your head above the water. (Peisio Khehora find the water very nice and the current fun.. they have no trouble). Carrying him back takes even longer and you find yourself several yards downstream of the wagon.

Eventually you will get the Ordon back to land. The smaller Ordon's swarm over to you and hiss in their strange tongue as they take him from you. One offers you a package as the others quickly bandage him and gather up their wagon. They all turn and give you a slight bow before dashing off into the mists. Ordon's are known for their tendency to attack anything, but apparently helping save one of them has granted you a small amount of immunity for a little bit of time...

Looking down you see the package is...

Tallulah was enjoying the rapids that he'd found in a deep, river carved valley on Ayr. It was a rather fun diversion from what he'd been spending his time on, that being preparing for the journey that he would seen be taking to become a Merkhorian. It would be a long trip, one he would only take after meeting with Eyphah again, and one that he hoped would go well for him. For now though he just wanted a little break and to have some fun! As he played in the water, diving under, jumping out, splashing about, and otherwise enjoying himself, he suddenly spotted something out of the ordinary. Turning his attention toward the middle of the river he saw... a rather strange looking creature clinging to a rock, "Eh?" He watched the creature for a moment, something he would swore he'd seen before... but not in Ayr. He'd seen them from a distance in Eowyn. A strange race for sure. He was about to continue on his way until he noticed the blood on the creature's head... and then something else more worrisome.

One on side of the river were smaller creatures like the one in the river, skittering around, looking upset... and then on the other side of the river was something big and intimidating. A Rajsha. It was pacing the other side, hissing and making a fuss. Likely it was wanting to get at the wounded, trapped Ordon, it would make a good meal for the Rajsha after all. Best that he saw to it that the creature was able to get back to its... young? He gave them a glance before diving back under the water, swimming toward where the Rajsha was. Once he surfaced again, closer to the 'enemy' he set to gathering power to him before he sent a wave of water toward the Rajsha. The wave enveloped the Rajsha for a moment, sending it further inland.

Once it was pushed further away from the river the Rajsha seemed to question if going after the Ordon was a good idea or not. It paced a moment longer, looked toward where Tallulah was treading water, before it finally decided to slink off. The Ordon wasn't worth battling a Merkora it would appear. Once the creature was gone he was able to turn his attention back to the creature that was still clinging weakly to the rock. There was his next target he thought to himself before he went under once more. He swam over to the rock, surfacing when he was in front of the creature, and gave the Ordon the best smile he could give, "Come on then! Let's get you back over to your young and your wagon." He said, reaching out to him.

The Ordon flailed a moment, seeming as though he weren't quite sure about the idea of being saved by a Merkora. Tallulah watched as the Ordon flailed about before slipping off of it's rock... but it wasn't really able to get washed too far away though because Tallulah was able to use his magic to encircle the Ordon. He moved to follow along after the Ordon, stopping only once he was close enought to catch hold of him with his front feet. He held the Ordon there, head above the water, and started toward the shore. The fact that his hands were busy it made it a little slower going, not to mention it caused them to get washed a little further downstream then he might have been able to do if he had his hands.

There were a few tense moments but they were able to get back to shore. Once there Tallulah gave a sigh of relief, looking over at the Ordon that he'd saved, and gave it a smile, "Phew! Made it!" His tail wagged a bit before he set to casting another spell, this one meant to heal the wounds of the Ordon that he'd fished out of the river. He was just finishing up with the healing spell when the smaller Ordon appeared, swarming around the two of them, chattering at them, before helping the bigger Ordon back its feet. They hissed and chattered at him in a tongue he didn't know, something that caused him to smile, before he said, "Don't worry about it, glad to help." It was nice to run across them in a manner that didn't include them having to fight he thought to himself.

A package was placed in front of him, something he couldn't help but to be curious about, as the Ordon moved off. They seemed to be heading back to their wagon, leaving Tallulah and the gift behind. He lifted a clawed hand up, waving at them, before he turned back to the present, "Let's see what we have here!" He chirped at the present before he set to opening it up, eager to see what was inside.

Go to Reward.
