πersonality: Mei-yin is a very mysterious woman. She tends to appear in strange places or times without drawing much attention to herself. Due to her strange appearances she has gained many a rumor as to who and what she is, when asked she often just gives a kind and mysterious smile before she turns and walks away. Just as there are many rumors about her there are also many different opinions as to her demeanor. Some people report their encounter with her as quite pleasant, others say she is harsh and cruel. The only facts known are she is known to often do strange things on a whim for little or no reason, be that reason something she simply wishes to do or something she does without thought as to why. In truth, she is a shy woman that is often withdrawn and keeps to herself as she isn't quite sure about who to trust and as such she often guards herself with cold or cruel remarks to keep others at a distance for fear she would get cause anyone that got too close to her great harm or having her abilities and past revealed.

π io: Mei-yin Lou is the daughter of an vampire woman and a human. Her mother having been able to seduce the man from his wife long enough to have a child by him. She grew up learning sorcery and the arcane artes her mother taught her as her mother went on to instill virtues into her such as honor and how to ensure that she would be able to feed on others without causing too much harm. From a young age she had shown promise in the magical artes as well as the hunger for blood that she had gained from her parents, this trait bringing the hunting instinct out from her during the full and blood moons to the forefront. Over time her lessons grew less and less while her mother ventured off towards what she called unfinished business. Mei-yin had grown up with little care or attention being paid to her other than the basics that were given to survive in the world around her, she was content with this way for some time. As she grew older, her curiosity would begin to grow about her mother's business and at one time she followed after her, using her skills given and learned in order to learn of the truth behind what had taken place. She had come across what appeared to be a regular house, her mother lovingly welcomed at the door before she was led within. This strange turn of events caused Mei-yin to learn the truth that day, that man was in fact her father and he was married to another. The truth caused her stomach to turn in disgust ever further as events unfolded, a small girl, younger than herself having arrived and learning what had been taking place. She watched in silence as her life was changed in an instant. Her mother returned home late that night, unsuspecting the truth that had been discovered and the innocence shattered within the young woman who watched with an icy gaze.
By morning all that was left of her childhood home was but a small pile of ash, swept up and caught within the wind and Mei-yin walking along the hidden pathways she had been taught so long ago, it was time to leave and begin a new life. Over the many years she had picked up the trade of a musician and songstress and then that of an artist, painting, singing and playing instruments in order to earn a living for herself. During her travels across the globe, she heard of a place that held an ideal of bringing forth a merging of worlds...that of the Human and the Vampire. Curiosity (and her own personal history) drawing her mind towards this place and she wonders what shall transpire between the factions as she watches from the shadows.

πowers: Mei-yin holds an affinity for manipulation of water and ice, she can heal at an accelerated rate, has keen senses. Physically strong and extremely fast as well as slow aging, Mei-yin holds all of the traits that a vampire of her rank would hold.
πxtra:Despite holding a vast array of arcane knowledge she is not able to make use of it outside of her own abilities. Her love of music and art were what drew her towards her current array of occupation yet she is always on the look out to learn something new about the arcane as it draws her curiosity.
