Megrez was still getting used to this whole Senshi thing. Still somewhat embarrassed by the fancy outfit and unsure of what to do besides throw eggs at nasties and hope they went away, she spent most of her time peeking out from behind corners and hoping that no one stared for too long. She'd heard that people like her were becoming increasingly common, and so maybe normal people were used to costumed weirdos running around the city. However, that didn't make her feel any less awkward when people stared at her and whispered. It was kind of like going through puberty all over again. Today, she continued her usual zip-from-corner-to-corner routine, hoping to only be seen when it was absolutely necessary. Hopefully she'd get used to this someday...

Maia didn't have any training session tonight, as a matter of fact she was actually trying to encourage other's to take nights off from time to time. She tried to stress life outside of being a senshi, even though she often didn't follow her own advice, but she had friends to make sure she did and her brother of course.
Maia stopped in a her patrol sensing another close. She moved to the corner of the rooftop of the building she stood and looked down to see senshi rounding a corner. She watched for a second before jumping to the next rooftop and calling out to her.
"Hello, down there," she called not to loudly but certainly loud enough for the other to hear her. She looked over the rooftop and smiled down to the other.

Once again, Megrez was disoriented by a voice from afar (this seemed to be a running theme in her encounters with others recently). When it finally occurred to her to look up and follow the vague and still unfamiliar feeling of "sensing" another like her, she spotted Maia on the rooftop. Another Senshi! ...It had to be another Senshi, right? It wasn't like anyone else dressed like that these days. Not even cosplayers. Maybe. Megrez gave a smile and a wave back. "Hello up there," she said. "How's it going?" Kaori_luv Tag! So sorry for the delay!

Maia gave a small laugh and wave to the senshi below before answering, "Everything is fine. It's a fairly quiet night. Just doing a little patrol, its a bit faster up here."
She climbed up onto the ledge of the rooftop, something that looked deadly and terrifying before simply jumping down, like it was nothing. She landed a few feet of to the side of the now much more visible senshi.
"That's better, right," she said with a tiny grin. "I'm Maia, senshi of Song. It's nice to meet you. Don't think I have seen you around before. Are you new to all this, or just first time in the area?"

Megrez's eyes grew wide as Maia jumped down from the roof with no penalty whatsoever. "How did you do that?" she asked, blurting out her thoughts. "Anyway, I'm Megrez, senshi of eggs. Nice to meet you, Maia!" She extended her hand for a handshake. "I'm not new to Destiny City, but I am new to the whole senshi thing. Though, to be fair, even though I wasn't awakened that long ago, a lot has happened... I've already been in battle with a youma. That's what they're called, right?"

Maia gave a soft smile at the question, it appeared roof jumping 101 was on the schedule for the night. It answered the question she asked even before Megrez did. "It's nice to meet you to Megrez," she said grasping the other's hand to give a shake.
She hadn't expected the new to Destiny City bit, even though she knew people still moved her. She of course didn't understand why anyone would want to with all that happens in DC, but she pushed the thought to the side.
"It your referring to the monster that roam the streets and attack you at night, then yes, they are called youma. They can steal energy and take your starseed, er you lifeforce or soul if you will." She gave a little sigh, "and I know that sounds terrifying but they aren't generally to powerful and a few good whacks takes them out."
"As for jumping down from the roof, its pretty easy. You're stronger now, you should be able to jump about twoish stories up, give or take a few feet. If you like we can try together? It's a bit brighter up there and less chance of being seen by a civilian."

While it stood to reason that youma were dangerous just from looking at them, that part about stealing souls caught Megrez off guard. "Those things steal souls?! I suddenly don't feel so bad about clobbering the one I did. But yeah, they didn't seem that tough." Meanwhile, regarding the roof jumping, the fact that she now had super jumping skills was also news to Megrez. "Uh... sure. Let's try it." She was really less worried about the sudden change in altitude and more worried about missing her mark and splatting against the side of a building. Or totally clearing it. Presumably, the act of falling back down from her jump wouldn't hurt her, but it'd be veeeeerrrrryyy awkward to suddenly hit a window or something and skid down it like a cartoon character.

Maia nodded at the comment about souls, "not everyone views them that way. Some would really rather think of them as a lifeforce. I think of them as souls because I know that in a past life I was Sailor Maia and I lived on Maia the planet of my star. Either way the most important thing about them is that you can't live without it, not for very long anyway, so yes you should dust youma." She gave an amused smirk at the term dust because that what youma turned into when they were defeated.
Again Maia nodded with Megrez wanted to try getting up to the roof. "Okay," she said holding out her hand. "Hold my hand. I don't want you to possibly miss and fall, not that I think you will, but falling wouldn't be good if you can't manage to land on your feet. I certainly wouldn't want you to break something. We can talk a little more once we're up there and even sit down if you like, or continue our patrols together."

Maia would be met with more confusion. "A past life...? Is knowing about past lives another perk to this whole senshi thing?" While Megrez had periodically wondered what she could have been in a past life, she never gave it much thought. Now, however, she was intrigued. "How did you find that out?" Nodding, Megrez took Maia's hand. "Okay. Let's do this!" She bent her knees slightly, getting ready for the jump. "Just give me a cue, okay? I don't want to accidentally end up getting pulled along because I didn't jump on time."

"Senshi are reborn, I'll explain a little more once we get you up to the roof tops huh," she said softly with a smile. Holding Megrez's hand tightly she poised to jump and look to other girl nodding when she asked for a cue. "On three okay."
"It doesn't take to much effort, trust me, its easier. Ready ... one ... two ... three."
Maia gave a jump expecting Megrez to jump with her. Maia knew of course she herself was stronger and could jump higher and further, so she wouldn't have been surprised if Megrez still felt a little bit of a tug. She tried not to jump to hard.
Landing on the roof she looked to the other girl and smiled, "You okay? Ready for know a little more about how to find about your past life?"Sami-Fire Sorry I get a little side tracked, just poke me on aim if I dont tag for a really long time ... Shizu6616

One... two... three!Megrez was surprised by the jump that came out of her. She had never actually tried jumping onto a roof before, so when she was sent soaring onto the roof, she nearly yelped. However, she landed precisely and with aplomb. "Yeah, I'm okay," she responded. "But wow. I didn't know I could do that!" Now that she was aware of this skill, she intended to use it quite a bit more often. What really caught her attention was the mention of the past life. "Yes, please. Tell me about past lives."
