 She moved like a breath of spring air, the scent of lemon flowers lingering on her trail. Hers was the soft sunlight through the trees and the lulling drone of bees. And just like spring, Lovely Day was herald of new life. She was well aware of her swelling belly and had spent the day in bliss, selecting the best fruits to sample and singing gentle songs. They surely couldn’t hear, but they could certainly feel her love and the soft vibration. Now she rested, letting the soft earth of the Swamp cradle her body and imagined her young frolicking across meadows and calling her name.

If Lovely Day was the soft sunlight, drifting down through the trees and brushing gently against one's side, Starburst was the quick shafts of light and scattered across the ground with the shifting of the leaves, lancing through the air before disappearing again. The swamp had blessed her with speed and while she remained warm, her presence was often fleeting as she visited expectant mothers, nurtured her own relationship, and took care of the babies of the Mother's Club. This did not change the warm regard with which she held each kin she met though. Slipping out from between the trees, almost like light itself, Starburst approached with a smile. She dipped her head, "Congratulations."

Lovely Day's eyes fluttered open and she rose with a soft 'oomph' sound, a warm smile blossoming on her face. Her gaze ran swiftly across other Kiokote, taking in those strange small details that marked her as so very different with a natural curiosity. "Thank you," she replied.

"How are you feeling?" Starburst asked with a smile. She knew well that pregnancy could be uncomfortable. "And you don't need to stand if it is more comfortable to rest on the ground."Starburst would gladly settle next to the doe as they spoke. Ruriska Gaia's notifications failed me! QAQ

"Well, thank you," Lovely Day replied as she took the other Kiokote's suggestion and returned to the ground. She smiled up at the other doe. "You are quite unique, are you not? Would you do me the honour of spending some time with me?"

Starburst nodded and settled down on the ground facing the other doe. She laughed quietly, "Not unique perhaps, rather unusually lucky."
"It would be an honor to spend time you," she continued. "It is good to see that motherhood is treating you well."

The doe laughed softly and shook her head, but she was obviously pleased. "It is an unexpected joy," she said, "and I hope to make a good mother. They will be well loved."

Starburst smiled, "I wish you luck then."
"Is there anything that weighs upon your mind?" She could remember her first clutch so clearly and there was barely a thing she had not worried about at the time.

"Not at all," she answered and then paused, giving herself a moment to actually think about the question. "I suppose a mother will always worry about her children. She wants them to happy and healthy and full of life. I am no different."

"It is good that you believe that all will be well and that you are confident in your ability to provide for your children," Starburst said, her voice warm and approving though she usually sought more seeking answers. She would not fault a mother who was happy and ready for motherhood, who did not worry because there was nothing to worry about. "I cannot guarantee happiness, but I can give you this: May your children have the capacity to enjoy life fully and to love their mother for the life she has given them," she said with a nod.

It felt as though she grew warm with the spoken blessing, the words wrapping around her in a safe cocoon. Lovely Day let out a soft, pleased sigh. "You are most kind."

"The MotherFather offered me the chance to give comfort the same ways as those who came before gave comfort to me," she paused, "And I am happy to have met you and to have been able to talk with you."
"If you ever need to find me or if you need a place to stay when your children are born, there is a comfortable area, well protected and populated by those who seek only to raise children with love and care, not too far from here. Just ask for the Mother's Club and you will find your way." With that, Starburst gave one last warm smile and got up. A jump and a twist and she was gone, disappearing into the trees as a cheetah, tail giving a cheerful flick goodbye. Ruriska Wrapped up with a bow~ <3
