The room is dark. There is nothing but you, how many it is unknown. It is too dark to see clearly. Everything seems far away, even the Queen herself and she remains quiet, all limbs outstretched. With the Queen of Destruction destroyed her purpose is only to stay and wait. To stay, gather enough power, and wait again to fulfill her purpose, no matter what it takes, no matter the sacrifices. She is waiting to bring you, and more importantly your memories back into her cage and keep you contained forever.
OOC
[ The Final Boss ] can only be damaged by specific cards. Randomise a number between 1 and 22 (by hitting the random generator and going to RANDOM NUMBER - hit 1 and 22 ) and match your roll to your card number and answer the prompt on the card to the best of your ability where applicable. You may roll 3 times for prompts, reaction posts are unlimited. A reaction post simply means reacting to another player. Please also note the boss's special ability. - Please quote the card you got in the OOC of your post along with your [ character's general stats ie: appearance etc ]. You don't need to quote their battle stats.
- If you have posted in the NIGHTMARE REDUX instead of your usual cards, your attack takes the form of your given character weapon.
[ QUEEN DEBUFF ] If you are part of the RED QUEEN faction you suffer a small debuff in the form that you begin to slowly petrify. Your character, without the queen begins to slow down and feel sluggish. You haven't reached full petrification yet, but you feel slow, as if any movement is hard.
[ Boss Special Ability ]
The boss is made of Distortion. This causes your memories to begin to stir as you near the boss. All your memories become undone, unwound. That means when you roll a prompt and it is a memory prompt, it becomes open for anyone nearby to see. As a common note of courtesy, if you specifically want someone to view your memories, QUOTE THE PLAYER. Otherwise if you were not quoted you are unable to see that player's memories. This invoked memory isn't erased, she simply invokes them.
One again to reclarify any cards that invoke memories become openly viewable by those NEARBY. If you want your character to ICly share this memory, simply quote all the players you'd like and they will be considered ICly NEARBY. Reaction posts/ etc can be written in this thread. If you do not want it shared, just quote nobody and they will be ISOLATED. If you were not quoted, you cannot view that person's memories, to be fair to all players.
[ CARD ROLLS ]
- RANDOMISE A NUMBER BETWEEN 1 - 22 Match your number to the result below (see: card). IF you do damage please post the total damage you did at the TOP of your post in BOLD RED] thank you!

He could see her in the room with him.
She wasn't very tall; in fact, by demon standards, she was rather short, but Xavier had never really taken notice of that. His father sometimes made comments about it, but they were always affectionate, always adoring, even if his father was never a very vocal or physically affectionate person to start off with. His mother always laughed about it, and her laugh was always gentle, always kind.
She was not, by demon standards, a "proper" demon, but she had never seemed to mind.

"I thought I told you that you weren't allowed back here."
He cowered a little, tucking his head in shame, but didn't move away. Instead, Xavier shifted his feet guiltily and passed a quick glance up at him, his cheeks flushed a dark red, almost scarlet, as though he were embarrassed about something (which, knowing Xavier, he probably was).
There was a sigh somewhere above his head.
"What?"
Xavier's voice was just barely above a whisper now, his eyes on the ground. "I...I just wanted to s...see if I could f-fly...a bit h-higher from this side of the house. P-please d-don't t-tell my m-mom or d-dad, they'll be really m-mad if they knew I was h-here."

The end of the game had come. Everything else was closed and it seemed, he was on the loosing side. He really felt sluggish, it was hard to make himself come to the final event. It seemed his collection of cards was useless. But he got himself here anyway. He would show up.
"Sssgankishi." he smiled to the other demon as they left, and then carefully recounted the money before putting it in the drawer. Yes he would get a portion of this. Like much of the summer, he had been dragged into running this booth, mostly advertising but he also kept watch over the few display goods that his mother has set aside as pert of the advertisement. After his shift he would be able to spend the money he had just earned, he got a portion of whatever he sold. Mostly it was little stuff, small food items like bits of brim stone, mostly there for comfort. He wound up eating a few, but such was one of the perks of working the booth.
Still, This was quiet a good sell. He didn't expect anyone to drop the seeds here for that little gem. then again others were selling necklaces and hats in some of the others and fireworks.
He liked watching the fireworks when they got set off near his booth and he finished counting the money. Maybe he could find himself something good to eat. He put his half into his wallet and then left then locked up the shop for the night. Yeah he did good.

Everything was blurry in this memory. Disjointed, like it wasn't quite a memory but more...of a dream. A memory of a dream perhaps? It was one Finn had often, or at least, often for a man who's nights were usually filled with nightmares. He wasn't sure which this was, which category it fell under but......
They were standing across from each other, Finn had his hands on the other mans shoulder. "It's over. It has to be. You understand though, right? I want to be with her and it's...it's just a lot easier then all of this sneaking around. I love her, too." His fingers were closing around the others mans shoulders just a bit too tight, brown eyes meeting amber, until the brown gaze dropped, unable to look at him.
His hands dropped as well. He had no right to hold him, anymore. No right to touch him.
The memory was fuzzy. It was a memory, not a dream. It might be a dream now, but it wasn't to begin with it was...it was a memory of a memory, that's what it was. And it wasn't him. Not the real him, at least but it...it felt real. Even blurred and broken as the memory was, he could still remember the pain, the way he had wanted to say more but was too scared to, to scared to break down, to scared that instead of speaking, all that would come out was a choked sob.
And he couldn't do that. He had to be strong. He had to walk away.
And he had. But that decision would haunt him, and continue to haunt him, and that memory would replay in his mind over and over again, so that even this Finn, the real Finn, would have been able to catch a glimpse.
The memory became too much like a channel of television static then to continue, and Finn recoiled back, away from it, his lip curled back in a snarl.
"You b***h." He spat at the figure of the queen, and gave his head a shake.
He'd been having a hard enough time with those particular memories without them being dredged forth once again.

"What is that?" Hots had missed the battle with the red queen. She got the feeling she had missed quite a lot somehow, and wasn't at all sure how it had happened. But she was here now, and her single pale eyes was wide as it came to rest on the figure of what remained of the White queen.
And of course there would be memories.
Of course those memories would be painful.
Wasn't that always how it worked?
Her ten year old self standing hand in hand with her father. Her father, who was usually so tall, so proud, brought down to a hunched and broken thing. Her father, who had always been so strong and steady, shaking while the child on his left stood firm and resolute. Peyton had stood before her mother's coffin and watched as her sister had wailed, but that hadn't been half as damaging as watching her father crumble into a irreparable mess. Losing her broke him, and even that young, Peyton had realized she had to step up.
Astrid needed her. Her father needed her. She couldn't afford to fall about like they did, she had to be strong. Someone had to be.

They entered side by side, friends and maybe more, Alex wasn't sure. Regardless their queen, the White Queen, stood to be defeated. It was time. At the end of all things, he was glad Teddy was at his side.
Alex lunged forward after nodding to his friend, but was stopped as a memory unraveled before him.
MEMORY --- They stood before the hulk of the final Raid Boss, it's body disappearing into long tendrils of shadow. Before long it would be gone. Each of them had claimed a reward. This was the first time that Alex had done something he was proud of. Helped his friends and fought off a massive monster. His minds eye turned to Ulka. I'm glad he's safe. Thank you.

Finitay had been here for so long now. So very long. Everything had stopped to make sense and time was just meshing together endlessly. Even now she was tired; deeply deeply tired and that made no sense considering that the world she was in was not her own waking reality. All her memories were swirling together, everything was confusing. Her mind flashed to the teaparty. Her foolish eating of food without invitation, the feelings of unhappiness upon making an a** out of herself. All because she decided to naively trust in stranger’s food.
No more. It’s time to make a last stand.

Teddomination was not a keeper of secrets. He was an honest soul to a fault, not keeping things from people if they could hurt them. Or him. Even now, his secrets made him uncomfortable. Frightened. Like something he wasn’t saying would hurt those around him. He wrung his paws nervously, paw twisting around Alex’s hand. Alex knew his worries- he had been open with his fears to his friend. But the others had no such inkling of his fears, and his doubts. His feelings that he might not even be real.
”endejester”
“Friend! I have something to tell you. I do not think I am real, at all. I have not since I opened the door. Doesn’t it make sense- to have an odd character be the one to complete a necessary task? And now, here we are. At this Grief Echo, because of what we saw there.”
There. That was better. A weight had been taken off his fluffy chest, and Teddomination sighed in relief. Perhaps it wasn’t the best thing to admit right now, but he needed to tell someone. Make someone think he was real, and existed, or… something.
”amicableAggressor”
“I’m worried everyone is going to forget me, after we wake up. I don’t go to Amity- I never got in! So I’m just going to fade back to memory. Please don’t forget me, yes?”
Another secret in the open, and another off his chest. Teddomination felt open and free. He smiled at M00n, even though it had been a darker confession, and felt… better.
Much, much better, yes.
..Now, if they could just take care of their queen. Why had he been loyal to her? Why had they followed this path? He could not say. Fear, maybe. Fear like not telling secrets, or losing friends.
Whatever it was, Teddomination would not fail his friends again.

The triumph he felt with the red queen - so angry and hateful - fell was short lived. There was darkness and he could not tell who was there and the overwhelming feeling of being alone hit him like a sack of bricks. This wasn't right. This was...wrong. He needed to press on, find some light, find someone else. Someone other than himself. The further he got to the end of the room - at least he thought it was the end of the room - the more determined he was to get out. The dark was not a place TheBoughman was afraid of...But this place just. He couldn't. Closer he crept until the queen that he had apparently been on the side of stood there and it was yet another battle. TheBoughman ground his teeth together - it seemed like it was something that he was just going to have to get used to. Fighting.
He always thought he was a bit of a wimp anyway.
"Why does it always come down to fighting?" He asked, "Always. No matter what. That is fine, though. I will bring you down, too. Just like the red!"
TheBoughman lifted his branch staff and brought it down hard.

Great. Shun should have known fighting the queens would have unleashed an unspeakable evil. One was down in the very least, but there was still another to deal with. One who wished to turn them into servants. That wasn't about to happen as far as he was concerned. He frowned lightly, staring at the remnants of the white queen before them all.
There were soon two problems though. One, it was pitch black in here. He couldn't see a thing. The other was that he was feeling oddly sluggish. He wasn't certain why. If anything, he should be feeling ready to fight now more than ever.
He closed his eye for a moment, furrowing his brow. In his hands, he could feel a pair of daggers within them. There was a bit of relief in all of this madness.
Crouching down, trying to figure out where the enemy was, he had the oddest compulsion. So odd that he didn't even realize it until he was too late.
"I killed Stacy."
s**t. Why did he just say that?

He remembered the first time he'd seen his mother shift. The birds were a vivid, inky black back then, so black they were difficult to see because they looked as though they simply melted away into shadows. He remembered seeing her screaming through the air in a haze of feathers and wings and being stuck standing stock still, unable to tear his eyes away from the terrible and beautiful fury of her wrath. His mother was quiet and gentle most of the time, but that was the time that Xavier had nearly been killed by someone not paying attention to where they were going.
He remembered being terrified, but he also remembered the look on his mother's face when she shifted back - a piercing smile, radiant on her face, and for the first time, he had wished he could be like her, could share the same sort of intensity.
But he never would.

Finitay moved closer, her butterfly staff clutched tightly in her hand. She had every intention of teaching the queen a lesson. Even if it was a weak one. The closer she moved the harder it became to keep moving. Her limbs were so heavy, so very very heavy. Her mind seemed to be a bit of a mush, and for whatever reason her mind went back to the destroyed plush toy of her youth. The destroyed toy that had forged her into a stronger person; the loss of a security blanket.
She was losing focus. She had to keep going.

He'd charged in like the others, intent to fight. The White Queen--his queen--was out of control. Intent to do as much damage as possible before he fell, he ran in.
He wasn't prepared for the sudden swirl of memories. To, just like that, be out of Wonderland, sitting in one of the offices as creeple taught him about Halloween. Asked him questions, tried to grasp how much he knew. His answers were always lacking, and due to that, choppy. Biting. Burning. He didn't know. This simple fact infuriated him. About as much as the times they tried to remove the lock from him. Those had been interesting exchanges.
"We're not trying to fight you." The ghoul was sweet, with an twinkling voice and soft eyes. Males avoided him at that point--it was obvious chivalry was alive and thriving in him. This ghost in particular seemed intent to help him acclimate. Claimed it was by her own experiences. "But you can't lash out at tutors just because you can't answer the question."
The stone of his face cracked, and for a moment he almost scowled. Frowned just the barest amount. "The lad asked me about m'family. Kept pressin' when I told 'im there wasnae a thing tae say."
"Yes we... are aware of the circumstances. I'm sorry. He's still in training. I'm not sure why he was assigned to assist today." Assist him, but she didn't say it. Pride was an issue with him. Everyone got that quick enough.
Neithan held her gaze till she glanced down at her desk, and only then did he let the faintest of breaths out. He'd gotten... mad. Yelled, roared. His head had ached, his temper had snapped. He simply did not have the answers so many poked and prodded for. After a moment, he finally caught her gaze again. "How long... till ye felt ye didnae need the answers no more?"
Her smile was soft as ever, eyes sympathetic. She understood his struggle. "When I began answer their questions about my past with plans for my future."
Burn opened his eyes again, back on the battlefield, back in Wonderland. She'd accepted, moved on. Taught him to try and do similar. He was trying.
