 entering the room he closed the door. an earth pony, presumably a guard wearing only a shoulder pad waiting outside. (reference to my new character biggrin ) shadow then walked over to the window, looking out to the starry sky. "I...I just don't know..." he said softly letting out a sigh, a single candle flickering by the bed. "what are we going to face I've put on a brave face for almost my hole life, but I have no clue what im doing..." he said thinking out loud, as he turned to look at the candle flame. suddenly a voice echoed out. "don't worry, keep the joy in your heart, and every thing will be fine..." the voice said. shadow nearly jumping, looked about the room. "who was that?" he asked. "its me..." the voice sounded again, as the amber around shadows neck blinked. shadow looked down, surprised, was he really talking to the amber. or was the pressure of saving an entire kingdom getting to him. "don't worry shadow, things will turn out just fine..." the voice echoed out again. "but how can you be sure? What if..." shadow was cut off. "always with the what ifs with you, don't worry about the future, just focus on the here and now, that's all anypony can do..." the voice said before going quite once more. [why did I hear that voice, am I going crazy?] he thought to himself as he shook off what had happened. he didn't feel tired or hungry, so he just sat there looking and admiring the moon. Cuddlycuttlefish and queue Luna's guidance xd

Having followed after Shadow with some distance between them, Forest almost lost the stallion in the winding halls of the castle before catching a glimpse of him disappearing into a room. Glancing uncertainly at the guard standing just outside, she raised a hoof to knock on the door, hoping it would be alright for her to do so.
"Um...Shadow?" she called after a couple of knocks. "It's Forest. Are you okay...?" A pause. "You left kind of abruptly and I got worried."holloween-hound ((If this is a private rp or something and you're rather me not post here, just let me know and I'll leave~))

Shadow suddenly gave a small jump, turning to look at the door. he then heard Forest's voice, which made his heart skip. relucently he got up, trotting over to the door and opening it. "no forest, I'm not, I'm just...." he trailed off letting off a long sigh. "I don't know what I'm doing, why me, I'm nothing special, im just some Pegasus like everypony else..." he said as he turned returning to the window, looking out to the sky. "I cant stop thinking of the dangers we will face, I... I..." he said, having trouble saying what he wanted to say, due to his crush on forest. he continued to look out at the stars, saddened by his thoughts. (( XD wow your lining up perfectly with the book im writing ))

Frowning slightly in concern, the mare tilted her head as she slowly made her way into the room. "Well, I wouldn't say 'some pegasus'," she teased with a chuckled. "You've got those nifty wings of metal, remember? And I don't know why or how, but even without a unicorn's magic, you can manipulate fire. I'd say those make you pretty special."
Grinning at the mention of dangers, Forest giggled. "Oh, you're just getting cold hooves, silly! Trust me, we'll be fine. Especially all working together!" she reminded him. "Inkbrand really seems to care about your saftey with the way he keeps saying he'll protect you. I'm sure he wouldn't let any harm come to you. And even disregarding him, you've got me and the others! We're all in this to help one another and I think it's safe to say we'll all have each other's backs. There's no need to worry."

Shadow gave a small smile. "yea, your probably right..." he said giving a sigh. "luna sure out did herself tonight." he said as he placed a hoof on his amber. "hey, uhm... nevermind..." he said, about to mention that his amber talked to him, but decided not to. "you know, inkbrand is a nice stallion and all, but he can be a little... rash..." Shadow said shaking his head. "I remember when he first moved to ponyville, he asked me to help him set up shop, and boy was he a handful." he said giving a laugh "so, about that meal..." he said turning, as his gut started to rumble, blushing slightly being embarrassed.

"Luna...?" Forest repeated, cocking her head a bit in puzzlement. She looked out the window. "What do you mean?"
Blinking as Shadow began to talk about Ink, the mare laughed. "I'm not sure if I'd use the word 'rash'...I mean he was pretty reluctant to come along on this trip at first. But I think I know what you mean. He can be a bit...forward. Bold," she agreed with a giggle. "I like that, though. He's got a lot of confidence in himself and it's attractive. I'm sure all the mares fell for him wherever he first came from. Not that I am," she added quickly, averting her gaze. "I figure he's too used to all the girls throwing themselves at his hooves and I refuse to be one of them."
"So that's how you know each other, huh? Helping him set up shop. That's sweet of you," Frolic said with a thoughtful smile. "Oh...still hungry? Let's get back to the dining hall then," she suggested, heading back toward the door with another. "Why did you leave if you weren't finished eating yet?" she asked over her shoulder with another laugh.

" I mean the stars." he said, pointing at a cluster just right of the moon. he then gave a laugh. "yea, if he would of refused to go, I wouldn't hesitate to drag him along." he said giving a laugh. " yea, when I get down in the dumps, like I did, I lose my appetite. don't really know why..." shadow said giving a shrug. getting up he walked over to the door, opening it. "mares first..." shadow said giving a smile lightly blushing. who said chivalry was dead. Wasibru exits when you exit biggrin

"Oh...I always thought of her as the Princess of the Moon," Frolic answered with a little laugh.
"Poor guy. It's a good thing he didn't, then, because I'm sure we'll need the help of everyone on this trip," the mare said more seriously. "Oh. So your appetite's back now?"
With a sardonic, crooked smirk, Forest paused in front of the door. "Thanks, but I always thought chivalry was a little sexist. My friend Gypsy always tries to be a gentlecolt too, but I just kick him in the shins and make him go first. Tell him he;s more of a mare than I am." She bowed playfully. "So. After you."

Shaking her head with an amused smile, Frolic followed him out the door. "I think I'm going to hit the hay," she told him. "So good night, Shadow Fire. And if you see the others, please tell them goodnight from me as well." She would have done so herself, but she wasn't sure she wanted to go back to the argument between Cobalt and Ink. "See you all tomorrow." With a wink, she headed down the hall to her own room.
