He was being attacked by a cake. By a cake. Admittedly, the cake did have a knife, but JK still found it difficult to take the monster seriously. It had pink frosting around the edges, for Jack's sake. The cake on the other hand, took itself very seriously. It swiped at JK taking away some of his health. The little minipet that had taken to following JK around healed him for a bit of health. JK looked at it, surprised. He hadn't known that it could do anything. Well, it seemed he was in this fight for better or worse. So, he drew some cards, and took an experimental swipe at the cake. He missed on one, but managed to do a bit of damage with the other two. The next set of cards he drew were all support and defense types, which allowed JK to recover some health. These would be useful! It might take awhile to defeat the cake, but he wasn't likely to lose to it. ((ooc I have no idea what I'm doing, but hopefully I can help!)) Bronze did not like the expression on the insane-looking cake, but maybe taking down the beast would provide something edible... Bronze flinched at the minor damage and noted he would want to work on not getting hit if he could... Quite suddenly, JK had help. Help that seemed moderately more capable of dealing damage than he was. He looked at his deck again. There were a good number of support cards in there. Perhaps he would be a better healer-defender than an attacker... There! He had healed someone besides himself. JK actually felt a little proud of himself. Which was silly, because this was some sort of dream game, and had no use in the waking world. He drew three more cards anyway, because he wagered he would have to get through this dream world to wake up. This time, his luck card came up, and his attack was twice as effective. Handy, that. Was there really a point to these battles, JK wondered, executing another small attack. He glanced over at the other Player. Perhaps the were given battles as a sort of social get-together? Even with the absurd amount of health this cake had, it wasn't putting up much of a fight. Well, if it was supposed to be a social thing, he hadn't even thanked this other Player for helping him. He cleared his throat as he used a defense card on himself. "Thank you."
