Faith leaned back in her seat, casually placing her shoes on the desk in front of her. She'd been forced to stay after school for detention - apparently adding a petticoat to her uniform was a "dress code violation" and informing the nun who called her on it that petticoats were considered incredibly modest and ladylike was "mouthing off."
Alright, so she might not have used those words, which was probably her problem. Either way, she was stuck for two hours, so far alone.

It wasn’t as though she liked to go to detention, in fact she pretty much detested it, but sometimes…sometimes getting herself into detention was the only way to get herself off of the computer. Besides, it wasn’t as though she wasn’t graduating in a few short months…she had to make the most out of the rest of the precious time she still had at the school…so detention it was.
Truth be told, she was looking forward to a few hours alone, just studying her language books…it would be a welcome time to just kick back and relax…and oh.
Well. She wouldn’t be alone tonight…that kind of sucked…
All of the other times she had been in detention nobody else had been around, so why was tonight not the same? The one night she wanted some ‘me time’ and she would have to share it…or maybe the pretty redhead would leave her alone. Yeah. Yeah, she was sure that she would. No problems at all.
Lavender gave a smile and took a seat a few desks away from the other girl, stretching before pulling out a book and a notebook. Time to do some conjugations. Verbs were awesome.

Faith, unfortunately for Lavender, was in a chatty mood this evening, because she absolutely refused to sit in silence and be bored when she could be doing something else. Like chatting up a cute girl she wasn't familiar with.
That needed to change, for sure.
"So, what're you in for?" She asked, a pretty good conversation starter if she did say so herself. At least it wasn't silent detention so she didn't have to worry about glares from the supervising teacher.

She paused, and gave a silent sigh as it seemed the pretty redhead was going to start talking to her regardless of whatever it was that Lavender wanted to do. She looked up and flashed another smile. “Oh you know. Just over all mischief.”
Lavender closed her book after folding back a page, just to remember where she had been and turned to fully face the other girl. It seemed she really wouldn’t be getting the break she had desired after all. “I guess I just let myself get it so I could have some time away from the computer to be honest. Whenever I head back to my room, that’s all I ever seem to do, and detention gives me a bit of time where I simply can’t be on it…you know, doing the tumblr thing and whatever.”
She grinned a little and gave a thumbs up. “I’m a bit of an internet attention seeker, so, I live on there whenever I get the chance to.”

Faith found herself laughing, which got her a sharp glare from the supervising teacher. She briefly considered responding with a universal one-fingered salute, but it seemed like a poor idea when she was actually sort of trying to impress someone. So instead she just flashed Lavender a smile.
"Internet attention-seeker, huh?" She asked. "Guess you've gotta cut yourself off sometime. You sohuld give me your tumblr, though, I've found it's great for finding pretty lolita things to salivate over." And of course the wonder that was Out of Context DnD, but that was mostly another story.
"Me, I'm here because apparently being delicate and ladylike is frowned upon in this establishment." Her voice rose with emphasis, eyes darting over to the teacher.
"Or possibly because I told the nun who said I couldn't wear a petticoat that it was '******** delicate' and that if she had a problem she could stick the dress code somewhere uncomfortable."

Lavender blinked, and gave a little girn. “Well, individuality is a dangerous thing in this school, didn’t you know? Clearly, we are all bad seeds who have been planted in some radioactive dirt and these nuns are trying to wash the evil off of us.” She made a face and laughed softly.
This girl wasn’t as bad as she thought she’d be, and she was actually enjoying the conversation they were having…though maybe that didn’t count all that much, any time people had conversations bashing the nuns in this school it ended up being a good conversation.
“I bet you’d look pretty in a petticoat. You have a sense of style that most people that go to this school lack, I can see that just by your hair. Luckily though, my own ‘unique’ style will be able to be fleshed out to the fullest come graduation time this year. I’ve got my ticket out of this school, and I’m taking it as quick as I can. No more pencils, no more books. I’m going to make it on my own as a youtube sensation. And maybe take a few classes at DU on the side so when my first plan fails I still have a backup.”
She shrugged, then wrote down her tumblr username, passing it to the girl. “By the way, my name is Lavender, and it’s nice to meet you, petticoat girl. Or should I just call you Loli? That suits you, I think.”

Faith laughed at the comparison, though it did seem pretty apt. If there was one thing that she was reasonably certain united almost every girl at St. Mag's, it was a deep disgust for the nuns assigned to watch over them and craft them into Good Upstanding Moral Citizens.
"Oh, you're on your way out too? Good stuff, there's nothing better than when the door finally swings open." She said. "And let me tell you, I look excellent in a petticoat. Even better in a full-on lolita ensemble. I am the classiest ******** lady in this school." She grinned at the irony of her own statement.
"Faith MacKenna, but you can call me whatever you want, Lavender."

Lavender grinned, shaking her head and stretching. “Well then, my pretty little Loli, you’ll have to show me sometime. Maybe after we get out of here.” She gave the redhead a slow wink and laughed. The laugh, it would seem, was just a little too loud, and one of the nuns who had been walking by the detention room stuck her head in and raised a brow, frowning deeply.
The woman walked into the room and beckoned Lavender over, pointing at a desk far away from the pretty charismatic girl who she had been talking to.
Grudgingly the girl moved to the other desk, giving a small, rueful wave to Faith when she got over there. Well, it looked like she was going to be getting the solitude that she had wanted. Oh well. Maybe after the detention they really could hang out.
That would be a pretty cool way to end the night. But for now, now it was tumblr time. Maybe she would blog about all of this. Petticoats. How interesting.
