Punchy passed the giant rose with little outward acknowledgement. He had just come from a world full of giant things and this place was just as jam packed with roses, so it really didn't seem out of place until it bent its stem and jabbed him in the back with a thorn.
He swung his cutlass without thinking, trap shears appearing in his hands instead as he struck.

As if called by the immense amount of awesomeness he was unleashing, the shears manifested again, and Punchy took their appearance as a sign he should heal up a bit. Because that's what giant scissors make everyone think.

He hit the rose and healed again, feeling pretty good about his chances. One did not fight overgrown plant life and lose.

Sure, the thing was hitting him, but was it ever going to change up its game? It was far too predictable to be any threat and it earned another strong smack because of it.

Seeming to read his mind, the plant viciously lashed out, knocking him back off of his feet. His shears blinked in and out of existence, clearly confused.

"Stay...in one...damn...shape!" he shouted, spinning sharply, his cutlass slicing through the rose's petals and massively staggering it.

He pulled back, the sword yanking free of where the flower's face would have been if it'd had one. It shuddered and fell, quickly disintegrating away.

One thing was left behind, another deck card that was more powerful than any he owned. Punchy picked it up and pocketed it, searching for more stragglers in the queen's skirts.
