 Many lions did not like cloudy days, unless of course it was his or her muse, but Rani'Kob enjoyed them throughly. Particularly, she enjoyed the solitude (as many didn't like to get wet), the song the rain drops played with the slowly forming puddles, and in the mindset of a true thief she appreciated the cover it offered to sneak around. When on a heist, It was like the gods were giving her their permission or even encouragement to take whatever it was she was after. But today there was no heist, in fact the Thunderbirds had nothing in the works at all; which was troubling for Rani. Without something to plan or execute, she felt her sanity begin to slip away while the reality of her loneliness got the best of her.
To clear her head, Rani was in the middle of a walk out in the rain with a devil may care attitude towards her health that would make her now-fully-grown-daughters cringe. Oh how she missed those days when she could take her own little cubs out to play in the puddles and play their games designed to make them better thieves when they got older. The amount of joy that the cubs experienced when they found the locked or shiney object Rani had hidden for them was palpable and she shared in it with them, creating some of her favorite memories of their cubhood.

 Kaleo's parents were far too busy with his siblings to notice the little purple cub had slipped away from their watchful eyes. Would anyone blame him? He was growing antsy and wanted to go enjoy the feeling of the rain in his fur! At least he was still in the pride's territory. How much trouble could he really get into? Perhaps that could be his challenge for the day. A childlike giggle escaped the cub as he ran through a field while dodging and jumping over puddles, occasionally landing in one with a loud 'sploosh' sound. Kaleo knew that his parents wouldn't be very happy with him for getting dirty and his siblings would chuckle as he got into trouble. He could hear them now "haha, Twilight Ballad is getting into trouble!"
For now, Kaleo was enjoying the little bit of freedom he had right now. Soon, he slowed his sprint down to a prance and he listened closely to the sound of the rain. What an interesting beat... He walked up to a puddle and put his head down close to the ground as he listened to the plop sound each raindrop made as it landed in the puddle. Twilight Ballad let his tail scoot along the ground and add a bit of noise to the sound of the raindrops, which started to create an interesting tune. This brought a large grin to the cub's maw.

Rani had just decided to take a break from the her walk when her eyes zoomed in on the little purple fur ball. It took her a moment to realize it was just a little cub. The most exquisite shades of purple gave away his family lines, if just by reputation as she hadn't met his parents in her recollective memory. As she watched him, she couldn't help but shake her orange mess of fur atop her head as her maw puckered to a laugh. How adorable! Rani felt her ovaries grind into gear, which she repressed forcefully.
"Hey you there, purple trouble.. Do you hear something interesting?" She called out to him above the rain, but in a soft, welcoming tone as not to scare him off.

Plop, swish, bloop. The sounds were beginning to come together quite nicely, Kaleo thought, as he stamped his little purple paws in a slightly deeper puddle. At the sound of the female's voice, the purple cub froze in his place. Oh no! He'd been spotted. What would he do? Run? No! That was cowardly. He didn't want to go back to his parents though. Slowly, he turned to face the female with an almost puppy-like stare on his face. "I was just enjoying the sound of the rain... please don't take me back to my parents yet!"
His large, red eyes stared up at the orange and black female. Kaleo was slightly surprised with how close she had gotten without him realizing she was even there. How did she do that?! Curiousity started to pull the cub in as he watched the female closely now.
