Many lions did not like cloudy days, unless of course it was his or her muse, but Rani'Kob enjoyed them throughly. Particularly, she enjoyed the solitude (as many didn't like to get wet), the song the rain drops played with the slowly forming puddles, and in the mindset of a true thief she appreciated the cover it offered to sneak around. When on a heist, It was like the gods were giving her their permission or even encouragement to take whatever it was she was after. But today there was no heist, in fact the Thunderbirds had nothing in the works at all; which was troubling for Rani. Without something to plan or execute, she felt her sanity begin to slip away while the reality of her loneliness got the best of her.

To clear her head, Rani was in the middle of a walk out in the rain with a devil may care attitude towards her health that would make her now-fully-grown-daughters cringe

Something had been bothering him as of late, and for quite some time he couldn't put his paws on it. But now, as he paced about stalking his Mother's scent he knew exactly what it had all been about. He was bored with his life. TO put it quite simply. He'd joined the mummers as a way to learn dances to woo Billy, but none of them had worked and she remained just a friend. Now as he sat through dance recitals and giddy girls batting their lashes at him he realized it wasn't the place he wanted to be in life.

He needed some excitement. Some fun.

Something adventurous.

And his Mother was just the lady for the job.

All he needed t do was actually find her, and this rain ... it was not helping his quest one bit.

As the rain slowed to a gentle drizzle, Rani felt another in the air and close! How has she not seen anyone?! She turned on her heel around a tree, but the panic instantly transferred into purring power instantly at the sight of her son just around the bend of a free. Her veins warmed as pride pumped through them and the warmest smile imaginable spread across her face.

"My little love!! Raven!! I'm so happy to see you!" No simpler truth could be said, accept for the part about her son being 'little love'. Rani stretched her neck around to press her forehead to his, attempting to avoid his white mass of a wet mane. "How have you been?!"

Oh man, seriously no problem! lol Happens to all of us.

She's flinging with Taime'sooja. She hasn't really found a good reason to stick to one male. It's her job to pump up numbers in a way. Is the Billy Raven is crushing on a male?"

His head had been to the ground, which of course meant his mop of a mane was caked all about his face. It was a wet mess, and to make things worse? He couldn't smell a thing, just the wet mess of a mop atop his head. It really did smell! Had it been that long since he'd taken a proper bath? He tried to think about it, but was promptly interrupted by a familiar and loving voice echoing around him.

His ears perked and his eyes widened as his Mother approached, allowing her forehead to mesh with his own. He could feel her warmth beneath her own messy fur and he himself let loose a rumbling purr of his own. He loved that his Mother still called him 'little' despite the fact that he was likely quite a bit bigger than her by this time. He'd never really taken the time to measure, but he would make a bet if tempted!

"Mom! Just the lady I was looking for!" He purred, returning her gentle nuzzle before speaking up again. "I am quite well, but perhaps after this rain things will change? Only time will tell." Shrugging off his shoulders, he disconnected from his Mother's gentle nuzzle and spoke up yet again. "I was actually out here looking for you, are you busy? Or do you have some time to spare?"

Unfortunately on the trail to leaving her her legacy, the Thunderbirds, behind when she was just a memory, she may have neglected her responsibilities of motherhood a time or to. You know, in the line of duty... But Rani loved her children very much, when she had down time she tried to let them know they were her greatest legacy. Motherhood was sort of a calling as it turned out. Thankfully, she was all free for the time being.

"I am blessed! "She winked at him playfully as she sat back against the trunk of the tree. "I am all yours, my little love. The rain is a sign of cleansing, or wiping the slate clean from the gods. What troubles are tainting your ledger? " Gypsy through and through, Rani spoke melodic when she was in her element or most comfortable. It was her true colors so to speak.

Fiachra had always loved the way his mother spoke, she had a strange way with words that not many others spoke with. It was unique, and well, he really enjoyed the unique things about others. Some called them quirks, something he'd always felt was a little negative sounding. He'd tried and tried to come up with a better word, but his mind was so lacking in the dictionary department specifically in that word. It was a conundrum, maybe one day he'd figure it out. But he had something a bit more pressing on his plate today, and a prettier word just wasn't it.

He inhaled a deep breath as he too plopped himself down with the weight of his worries. Plopped himself right down into a puddle. If he wasn't wet enough before, he was certain he was now. "I hope you're right, about the rain I mean. Maybe the rain and finding you are both connected?" His tone held a question to it, but he knew his mother wouldn't have a clue what he meant, if he never got to the actual point.

"I guess the thing that troubles me most is that i'm not as happy as I thought I would at my age. He sighed as he thought of where he imagined himself being at this point in his life. Settled with Billy, lots of romping cubs filling their den and the possibility of more not far in their future. But still he was alone, seeking the words of his mother to comfort him at his weakest points.

"I always thought I would be settled by this age, with the one I was meant to be with, and in the rank I was most fit for. But as I do my dances and practice for our recitals, I find myself empty. I think ... I think I made a wrong choice somewhere in my life, and i'm not sure how to fix it."

It was difficult for Rani to imagine her little, tiny, baby love having such troubles in his big manly life. In her mind's eye he was still a cub or maybe an over sized adolescent youth. The troubles weighing on his heart, broke his mother's to tiny pieces in an over abundance of sympathy. He was all grown up, and a Mummer no less, entitled to the same dilemmas as the rest of them.

"My dear, Little Love, happiness is a journey, not a destination. As you know, I do not believe in coincidences." Laughing a little at her son's theatrics she carefully laid herself down next to him so they were eye level.

"One never knows what the gods have planned for us mere mortals. There is a course set for each of us and we all play our parts in the grand design we cannot always see. The key is to regret nothing, learn from your experiences and keep your eyes on the horizon. You cannot change the past, but only strive to make good choices in the future. Perhaps your meant for something or maybe someone greater, someone whos first thought in the morning is of your dazzling yellow eyes and the last thought at bedtime is of your glorious dance steps."

A couple of moments passed and she added with hopeful intent, "You could always come try your hand with the Thunderbirds."

No worries, I've been distracted as well heart

Fiachra watched with his golden eyes, his Mother's every step as she bent to lay by his side. He had to admit, he was much more comfortable with his Mother this way. It was casual, not at all serious, it was as though they were merely conversating about the weather. Not at all of the many hardships he felt his life had held. His heart rested a little easier in his chest with those thoughts.

"You really think that don't you?" He asked, his golden orbs never leaving her own. As though he could detect even the slightest hint of a lie in the twitch or blink of an eye. He knew his Mother to be serious where it counted, but as much as this counted it wasn't like it was her Thunderbirds or anything like that. He wished she had some less insightful advice for him, because secretly just wanted to wallow a bit. But she was making some excellent points, perhaps he did need to look to the future and stop standing in the shadow of his past.

Sucking in a bit of air, he smiled over at his mom, opening his mouth to agree with her but she beat him to the punch. It was almost instant, the air seemed to deflate out of him and his heart began to beat a little faster! Was it adrenaline? Fear? He had no clue, but he could feel it in everything he did.

"T-the Thunderbirds?" He asked flatly, a slight squeak making its way into the end of his question.

"You really think i'm cut out for something like that?"

More importantly, did he think he was cut out for something like that.

The corner's of Rani's lips trembeled as she attempted to hold back her laughter, but a chortle from down in her throat gave it away. Imagining her Little Dancing Raven stealing something from another pride or an unsuspecting rogue was indeed a thought to inspire laughter. But not in a 'ohmygodwhatanidiot' way, but more in a 'my baby is too innocent for such things' way. But she nodded to answer his question, she did believe so with all her soul.

"Probably not in the participation.." Her black shoulders inclined slightly as her mouth opened, looking for something to say, but finding nothing more. And then an idea came to her.

"But, I could see you doing very good recognizance work, or a distraction, my son, or perhaps even planning a heist?" Rani posed this as a question, for she could no longer tell her children what to do, someone made this very clear to her already. As much as the Thunderbids was supposed to be a family affair, it seemed to work in the opposite direction. It already drove one of her daughters, Swift, out of the pride all together.

"No matter if you were a full fledge member or not, my Little Love, it could be a new way for you to meet a good female that will treat you how you wanted to be treated." Rani the Long Winded could have been a better title for her. She'd better get off the subject before he felt obligated to do something he was not comfortable with.

"Or perhaps you would make a good nanny. You do like cubs, right?" This was finally the question she wished to lead with, one that's answer had absolutely no benefit for her.

Raven was no sucker, he did have a thief for a mother after all. Having such things in your life ... well, they led you to pay a bit more attention than the average lion might. He could see the smile curves in her lips and tried to hold back his own. She was probably right, he was a bit of a sap. Saps probably wouldn't make the best thieves ... if he tried to steal from a cub or even a female! And they began to cry?! He didn't even know how to begin thinking of such things!

Thankfully his Mother pulled him from his own confusing thoughts and into a more interesting and less straining train of thought. "Recognizance huh?" He asked, mulling the question over in his head as he spoke the words. He did have a quick wit, and being out of the heat of the moment and harm's way might be good for him. He could do a lot of good for some well planned thieves! The grin slowly began to creep on his face as his mother advised him.

The more she talked, the more he felt she was hinting at something. Cubs ... a lady ... all for him? Was Momma finally starting to get the itch to be a Grandmother? He etched his eyes in such a way as to give her a suspicious glance, but soon took it back. Everything she was saying sounded so grand to him, and yet so out of reach. But she seemed to believe in him, something not many had done for him in the past.

"I think I like the way you think Mother." He remarked with a slight purr to his voice. "I think I like it a lot."
