Big was barely back in the maze of ceramic and confections when another candy found him, lashing out from the shadows and landing an easy hit. His dormouse was the first to strike back, digging its teeth into his foe's sparkling wrapper. He followed the attack with an angry series of kicks.

Now that he was warmed up and protected, it was fairly easy to call on his cards and land a devastating hit. The candy reeled, letting out a shrill shriek as it fell back.

Big had come to expect some sort of reward for killing these things and he received one soon after the candy fell, a burst of additional power that sent him flying backward, hitting his head on a teacup's handle and temporarily losing consciousness.
