Even with side quests to distract him, he found himself thinking back to that encounter. Should he... have told her the truth? But... she was so angry. Surely she'd hate him if she found out.
"I..."
He didn't know. Why did he joke around like that? It was so stupid. Of COURSE she'd get agitated. He knew who she was, but she didn't know who he was. Under any circumstance, that was ground for suspicion, especially with the lifestyle they led.
He sighed once more. Perhaps... if he ran into her again, he'd introduce himself properly... and apologize once more.

Yawning, Waffleberry moved across the table with no real purpose. The bats had been a bit draining. Perhaps she should find somewhere to find a nice nap? That might be for the best, considering how drowsy she was. "What do you think, Sevs?" She looked to the hare who was following along as always. He was also quiet, as always. She didn't get much time to ponder things, though. After rounding a tea-cup she caught sight of a battle. More evil cake. Oh, perhaps she should go help? Or not. Considering it looked like that Sombra fellow was the one it was fighting. "Though. I suppose we owe him one." She sighed, a very sleepy sigh. "Okay, Sevs," there was a yawn involved with her speech here, "let's go." The cake would find itself attacked by both a hare, and a pocket watch. Sombra didn't even get a hello. Trying to recompose himself, he prepared to strike, but was startled when a rabbit and giant pocket watch seemed to pop out of nowhere.
That rabbit seemed familiar...
He turned, and froze when he saw who it was
"Sh-Waffleberry?"
It felt strange calling her such, considering he knew who it was, but... she still didn't know who he was, so would it have been strange for him to address her real name?
Even more strange, aside from her ignoring him (he deserved that didn't he?), was that she seemed... tired? No, not tired. Sleepy.
"U-um... are you ok?"

She turned to blink at Sombra. "I'm fine." She did look very sleepy, she was sure. She felt sleepy. As if to prove she was fine, however, she hit the cake again, nodding as Sevs followed suit. "Hope you don't mind," yawn, " but I owed you." And she really didn't want to say indebted to this cat. Cute as his ears were. Her own ears drooped, and she rubbed at her eye. "So I'm paying you back." If there was one thing he learned from these weird ears, it was that they seemed to portray their emotions. And so when he saw her ears droop, he could tell she didn't really want to be here, and his own ears drooped with guilt.

She watched as Sevs moved in to attack. He was a machine. Then she turned back to Sombra. "What for?" Her ears drooped a little more. Man, she was sleepy. "Helping you is my choice." Now, if he were sorry for being rude, well. He could be. She blinked at him again, then turned her attention to the cake. Sleepiness did not help her attack. Perhaps so, but even he knew that fighting while drowsy wasn't extremely practical, which was evident with her tottering.

She turned to give Sombra her full attention. It was kinda hard to focus when all you wanted to do was sleep. Maybe more heals would make her feel better. Why did he call her out? Wasn't telling her now just going to make things worse? He gave a small smile at the heal. Just like Sherry, always wanting to make things even. Even in a dream, she was always there for him.

The cake seemed to have done a bit of a number to Sombra, so Waffleberry tossed another heal on him. Sleepily, but still. "Will you?" She shook her head. Why had she bothered to try and help him? He clearly didn't much to do with her. Sure, her attitude hadn't been the greatest...but. Ugh. At least Sevs seemed to remember there was a cake trying to eat them. Sevs had this. He just needed time. Drowsy Waffleberry was having trouble concentrating, even if the cake was trying to eat her cape. "You say that like you know me." She meant her name, and she didn't elaborate on the statement. She'd already decided Sombra knew her, but that he wasn't a friend. Not with the way he'd just...left.
