It began with the light pattering of footsteps, followed by a brush as a rabbit runs past you. There was nothing so very remarkable in that; nor did you think it so very much out of the way to hear the Rabbit say to itself, "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall think you'll be too slow!" (when you think about it afterwards, it does seem that you should ought to have wondered at this, but at the time it all seems quite natural); but when the Rabbit actually took a card out of its waistcoat-pocket, and looked at it, and wiggled it at you, and then hurried on, you start to your feet for it flashed across you mind that it had just stolen one of your Deck cards.

- Catch the Rabbit!
Difficulty level: Difficult
You can only complete this quest once! It is considered difficult so BEWARE!
A Rabbit has run off with one of your Cards from your Deck! You need to catch it in order to recover it, as you currently cannot use a card that isn't there if you get into combat anytime soon, and by the look of things it seems the Rabbit isn't going to make things easy...
OOC: Catch the Rabbit!
IMPORTANT:
- You can only do this quest ONCE.
- If you are caught in combat, you cannot use the card that was stolen.
- Once you begin this quest, you may not swap or rearrange your card Deck.
- This quest does require the assistance of one other person for one post. If you have already completed this quest you may quote someone's deck to lock it into place, as it does not require an RP post.
To begin:
- Post your deck.
- Have someone quote your deck. This is to "lock" it into place.
- Roll 1d10. This represents your deck. The number you roll is the card that is now locked. If you roll this card in battle (either here or in another thread where you are currently battling something), you cannot use that card. You do not attack/defend/heal/gain luck for the amount shown; treat it as if it isn't there.
If you roll a 10, then lucky you: you get to roll again.
- Next, you will need to catch the Rabbit. Roll a 12-sided dice.
- Match your roll to the prompt. Battle or RP accordingly. These prompts will also indicate movement points. These points indicate the distance remaining between you and the Rabbit. You need 15 points to catch the Rabbit.
- You cannot go below 0 movement points. If you are at 2 movement points and roll a prompt that takes away 3, you are at 0 points NOT -1.
- If you choose to do this quest in a group, all members will share ONE Rabbit, however they also share all prompts. If one member rolls an encounter with a monster it must be defeated before moving on. If a monster is rolled but someone else rolls another prompt, the movement prompt is void due to the monster prompt. You will need to roll a new one once the monster is defeated.
- If you die on this quest, you will respawn nearby however at a cost of -5 movement points. You must try from the beginning again.
- After you caught the Rabbit, or if you have rolled 10 times without catching the Rabbit, move onto Quest Complete.
Prompts:
Unluckily for the Rabbit, you've been in this area before. You're able to guess at which way they're going to go and successfully manage to take a shortcut and head them off. +5 movement points.
As you attempt to follow the rabbit, you encounter a monster! You must defeat the monster before rolling for your next prompt. Unfortunately, the monster delays you. -3 movement points.

The monster pops up in front of you, barring your way! A shadowy circle of thorns also sprouts across the way, preventing you from ignoring it and continuing the chase. You must defeat the monster before you may continue on.

To battle: Post in this thread, and keep track of the monster's HP. Use the general rules from the calculator to help you to keep track of it's HP.
Note: This mob does not yield a card upon defeating it. Instead, the barrier it created disappears and allows you to continue on.
You lose sight of the Rabbit. What doesn't lose sight of you, however, is the monster that now blocks your way! The delay costs you -3 movement points.

The Rabbit takes you to an unfamiliar place. Fortunately for you, the AI in charge of its pathing seems to be confused and the Rabbit runs straight at you! Unfortunately it then rubber bands forward, past you before you can catch it. +4 movement points.
A friendly player nearby notices you on the quest and grants you a buff! It doesn't do much, but every little bit helps. +1 movement point.
A spar between two players suddenly springs up in front of you! It doesn't hinder your progress at all; it simply is a thing that happened. +0 movement points.
You stumble across someone on a quest. Unfortunately for you, the quest mob targets you first!

As you run past another player, they trigger an ability which glitches out and sends you flying forward! +4 movement points.
You lose sight of the Rabbit. As you follow your quest marker, you realize that it's asking you to climb a giant hill. Rather than try to figure out an invisible jumping puzzle which involves invisible walls and steep unclimbable slopes, you run along the side of it and catch sight of the Rabbit again. +3 movement points.
A sudden leap over a fence to get around the Rabbit causes you to fall... and fall... and keep falling outside of the zone and into another. Take 10 fall damage and -3 movement points. At least at the entrance to the zone, the Rabbit was tapping their foot impatiently while waiting for you to run back. Upon seeing you, they run off again!
After examining your Quest Journal and reading the often skipped Quest Details, you realize a Very Important Clue which, after following it, puts you in front of the Rabbit's path! +7 movement points.

Quest Complete Reward:
As you catch the Rabbit, they throw their hands up. "Wait! Wait! I didn't mean anything by it, honest! Look, here, I'll just -- ahh! I'm sorry, I dropped your card! But, um, take this one instead! Bye!"
Before you can take your vengeance out on the NPC it vanishes, leaving behind a treasure chest.
The chest pops open! You open it right then and there and discover that the power of the card you lost has now been doubled as long as it is not a luck card! Max a card can go is x5!
