"Well its about time." Erradika laughed, peering at the mostly purple chick with her bits of bright green downy baby feathers. Surprisingly, she really didn't look all that different, if Erra hadn't known any better, she would have guessed she somehow plopped out a couple eggs in her sleep somewhere.
Grinning at the little chirping, she reached a clawed finger down, tickling the center of the little one's outstretched taloned feet. "So you are the unfortunate one. Poor little soul. " she smirked, reaching down to pick up the little chick and cradle her in her arms. "Life's a b***h for gal's like us, welcome to it. But lucky for you, I'm here to get ya through it." she grinned, laughing. She couldn't shake the thought that this little purple downy fluffed simpleton would be nothing without her, coupled with the fact that Erradika had been there. Though she remembered very little of her first few days, that strange internal grudge she held towards her past only fueled her desire to take this chick and raise her to be one rough and tough cookie.
Even if she knew should she have eggs of her own one day, she'd do the very same to one. That lack of maternal instincts for just one chick made her harbor an unforgivable and unexplainable anger. It was just there, she couldn't help it, or explain it. Call it a quirk of the toxic colored Harpy.
But it was just their nature, how things were done. In her strange mind, tat one chick would thank her for it later though. She'd see, when the time came.
Right now however, she had a new little prize all her own.
"What shall I call you...." her smirk twisted wider across her face.

Laughing at the little one's boundless energy, she grinned. "Arararra doesn't sound like much of a name... how about Ara....somethig." she grinned, making her way slowly by foot back towards where she had decided to make her nest, atop a tall tree in the nearby forests where her caretaker lived. "Arrrraaaaaa...." she mused, drawing out the name on hr tongue. ".....ccaarrrii.... Ara.. cari. Aracari." she grinned. That would be her name. Now to raise her into something to be feared..oh yes.
First however, food... because if the little hatchling wasn't, well she sure as hell was. Listening to her stomach gurgle, she glanced down at the chick in her arms with a smirk. "Hungry? Because I sure as hell am.... wonder what's on the menu today." she smirked, tickling the little chick's belly before spreading her wings and taking to the sky to gain an aerial view. She made sure to keep the little one tight in her grasp as she gazed about, eyes finally landing on a nice plump deer. "Poor sap, wont know what hit it." she smirked. 'But first...." she mused as she descended down towards a tree that had a long abandoned knot hole in it's surface, of which she nestled the chick comfortably into. "You move, you dead. I'm runnin this operation here, got it?" she laughed, pressing her finger lightly into the chick's nose.
"Watch what Mama does kid, you're going to need all the experience you can get." she said softly, perched on the branch, feather's ruffled as she waited for the deer to come closer. Patience wasn't Erradika's strong point however and the closer the deer got the more ancy she became, until eventually she couldn't take it anymore and sprung from the branch, talons outstretched as she latched onto the rear of the now fleeing dear. "AAww whats the matter, run faster!" she screeched, cackling, the thrill of the creature's terror and the hunt spilling into her as she toyed with it before finally delivering the killing blow to drag it back to the tree she left the kid in.

She gave a giddy little chirp as 'Momma' came back, eager to see the toy piece that she was bringing her.
Aracari blinked once the still warm flesh was placed into her hand. The look of pure confusion graced her features. She was unsure whether or not to play with it, look at it, or squeal at the idea that something gooey was now staining her fingers red... She blinked up briefly to watch 'Momma return to the kill anad begin feasting. She took the subtle hint to sniff at the meat bit then flicked her tiny tongue forward.
The taste she acquired made her pause, seeming to fall deep into thought as to whether it was safe. To the tiny tot's surprise... it was down-right delicious!! With a trill of delight, she shoved the morsel into her mouth and chewed vigorously. The sweet decadent flesh was just what her body needed! But in greatly supply, of course.
Upon swallowing the bite she was given, she licked her fingers clean, then began looking to see if she'd dropped any bits. With no success there, she chirped, eyes looking pleadingly towards 'Momma' for more!
