His march hare is actually coming in handy while he heals himself from damage. He's pretty bulky when he's using his defense and health.

This creature was becoming weaker and weaker with each attack. His march hare was helping greatly as he began to strengthen up his defense for the next attack or two.

It seemed luck was on his side this time, the beast was being cut away and there was only the final blow left to defeat it. "We can do this, hare!" He said to his companion as he braced for impact.
